Goodbye Sweet Girl

It's with a sad and heavy heart that I share with you the news that "Baby" our beloved English Bulldog passed away of old age on Monday, November 24. As so many of you had come to know her... Baby was an amazingly loving and loyal dog, A best friend, A camping buddy, A snuggle companion and indeed a most special gift to our family. The years of joy and unselfiish love that she provided will never be forgotten. I'm confident and comforted that she knew we loved her as much as we know she loved us.

News Flash from North Carolina...

"Cannon Balls are landing in Lake Norman!"
This last summer was our first summer in North Carolina and our first opportunity to spend time at the lake. We really had a great time. The kids are now true blue water babies. We feel blessed and fortunate indeed to have found this small town on Lake Norman.

A note from David...

Some of you may know that I am an Independent Meeting Planner / Travel Director for various companies both domestic and international. I frequently am asked... "What exactly do you do as a Meeting Planner?" The answer in basic terms is that I assist companies in the planning and execution of their small and large corporate events. These events typically fall into two catagories - Corporate Sales Meetings (Work Meetings) and Incentive Trips (Vacation packages that employees earn). I typically work from my home office for the pre-planning portion and then travel to the location of the actual event for the operational portion of the project.

Currently approximately half of my schedule comes from a contract with the Corporate Events Team for Herbalife International. Herbalife is an international direct marketing company focusing on health and nutrition products. We recently finished up the 2008 summer series of events held over the course of 4 weeks in Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City and Bangkok . My role at these summer events was to manage the new RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) access control project and to provide corporate event support to the regional registration teams.

I took some pictures and video while on the road this summer and put it to a little music. Check it out...
