Watch Them Grow!!!!

12/9/08 - Tomorrow is the big day! I will be a Mom of 2 kids by this time tomorrow...that is so crazy and amazing to me. It's been a long journey and worth every moment of it. I love them so much as all you Mom's out there know it just can't be put into words. Braden was worried tonight I would love the new baby more than him and I assured him that would not be possible. How do you explain the amount of love you have for someone especially when they are 3 1/2 years old. I just held him and squeezed him tight and told him I will love him forever and always and that will never change. I did not want to let go of him. It's the last night he will be my only child and feel like I should be doing something to make that moment last forever but I know it can't. I just adore him! I tired to make it a special day for the two of us ( I wish I would have remembered to photo document it but I forgot). We got up and went to my last Dr. appointment together and then stopped by to say Hi to Heather and Rocky and their baby Sydney who arrived yesterday (her and Sadie will be great friends). Once we left there we had a lunch date for the two of us by Braden's request we had Jerry's Hot Dog and Swirls Frozen Yogurt, we both had a blast! We stopped at the Hush Baby Store next to Swirl and Braden got Sadie a ducky toy so that was sweet. Then we came home and took a nap together which was needed and VERY nice. :) Once we work up it was time to meet Daddy at the mall on his way home from work to see Santa! Braden showed Santa the letter he wrote for him and sat on his lap like a big boy and took a very cute picture. We came home ate some food and Braden then helped me pack for the hospital (he is such a good helper). He gave me his stuffed crocodile animal to go with me to the hospital and said he would miss us both VERY much. I told him I will take great care of crocodile and thank you for letting him stay with me. Then it was time for bed....we are letting him sleep in our bed tonight being it's his last night as a only child I feel the extra need to do some extra cuddle time. So him and Dad are sleeping right now and I will go up shortly. I need to be up at 5am to have one last meal before I can't eat for 8 hours. Dr. recommended I eat and drink 3-4 cups of water at 5am so I will take him up on that for sure. I'm sure I wont get much sleep tonight as it is.

Tomorrow morning I will take Braden to school in his I'm a Big Brother T-Shirt and give him loads of hugs and kisses. My parents will pick up at school and bring him to the hospital at 1pm so I can see him before I go in.

Sadie will be born on 12/10/08 sometime between 2 and 3 pm. I will update everyone when I get home from the hospital which will be Sat or Sun.

Life is amazing and wonderful and I wish everyone the best!
Love,
Alison

11/30/08 - Ok so I know it's been way to long but I've been a little busy. :) Not that life will get any easier from here on out. Sadie is coming in 10 more days and we can't wait! We have everything ready for her. Being that it's Christmas time too we have also had to get all the decorations, presents and holiday cards done before she get here as well. The only thing left to do is mail the cards and wrap the gifts. We are pretty proud of us for getting it all done ahead of time. We didn't want Braden to lose out on anything just because Sadie is coming. He is so excited to meet her and can't wait to be a big brother so he can teach her all kinds of things. I took him to Color me Mine so he could make something to give her when he meets her at the hospital for the first time. He picked a Mermaid! We pick it up Tuesday and I can't wait to see how it turned out. Now that I'm not going to be working for a little while (well working much) I'm going to try and update this site more often so please don't stop check just yet. I hope you are all doing well!

I will post pic of my belly and Sadie's room this week.
Alison xoxoxo

7/11/08 - I felt the baby move last night! It was so cool, very faint but it was definitely it. I missed that so much...can't wait to feel it more. The big ultra sound is in 2 1/2 weeks on the 28th. We are on pins and needles waiting to know the sex of the baby. I have not bought one baby thing yet....very proud of my self I must say for having such restraint! I have been feeling pretty good most of the time other than the head aches I have been getting the last few weeks but even those have gone done a little over the last few days so that is great!

Braden is doing good and loving summer! He loves the water this year and always wants to go to the pool or water park to play. Zack has taken him to the pool many times and he is swimming and going under the water and jumping in. The kids just loves it! He is also starting to come out of his shell more...the other day at the park he walked up to a little girl and said "what is your name"...wow it blew me away. Mr. Shy would have never done that a few months back. It's so great to see him enjoy himself and everything around him.

6/15/08 - Uhmmm it's been over a year since I last wrote. I guess that means I've been busy or lazy....or a little of both. Obviously a lot has happened over the last year and Braden has grown so much. The kid talks up a storm, sometimes you think can we just have some quite time. The things he says just amaze me. We were in the car this morning and he asked why there were different kinds of tress? I told him it was just like how there are different kinds of people. So he started naming all the things he could see out the car window that could all be different, Flowers, Street light, Street signs, animals, cars, etc. He just blows me away something's.

Braden is also potty trained and wears big boy underwear and loves to pick out which pair he wears for that day. It was a long process for us but on Super Bowl Sunday he finally master #2 and proceeded to do it 7 times that day. He had been holding it for a while to say the least! We are so proud of him. He also sleeps in a big boy bed and his room is now decorated in all trucks. When we fist got the big bed he did wonderful in it. Then around his 3rd Birthday we got rid of his pacifier "Bobby", when the pacifier fairy came and picked it up for another baby who needed it and in return left him a gift of a puzzle. That was a very rough process of separating from his "bobby" and after several month he no longer asks for it or say he misses it, but he is still not sleeping well. So our house has been musical beds for a while now and we are trying to straighten that out. Some nights are better than others.

School is a great thing, he loves to go and learn and play with his friends. When I pick him up he always has a ton of things to tell me that they learned that day. Just this last week it was "hump back whales" and I thought that was so cool. One of his best friends is in his class, Max. The 2 of them just love each other. The are both kind of the the quite kid so I they just gravitated toward each other. Each day after school we go to the park with Max and his Dad and Braden loves to hitch a ride over there in John's bike attachment. I'm not sure what they are called but it looks like a tent attached to the back of the big. Any way it's just across the street so I walk across and meet them over there. The whole way you can hear Max and Braden screaming with joy and the two really come out of there shell. They play like mad men on the slide and what not for an hour and then we head home for nap. Which Braden does not always do these days and makes it hard on Mommies work schedule.

The big news in our house right now is we are expecting baby# 2 in December. Braden can not wait to be a big brother and is sure he is having a little sister. Hopefully we will find out soon. I will post picture of the ultrasounds we have had so far. This baby took 1 1/2 years to conceive with the help of 2 IVF cycles. The 2nd one working. We put in 3 embryos and one took so we were thrilled it all worked out for the best! We are just so thankful and excited to have another addition to our family. I've finally hit the 13 weeks so I'm no longer considered high risk and very thankful to now be in the 2nd Trimester. Braden always talks about the baby and how he is going to teach the baby how to play with toys and how not to bite them. He loves to give my belly kisses and hugs and say good morning to the baby when he wakes up in the morning. He always asked when December is going to be here so he can see his baby and hold his baby. We hope he keeps the same enthusiasm up when the baby is actually here too. :)

So out lives are pretty busy now with a 3 year old and one more on the way. Both Mommy and Daddy working full time and keeping Braden having fun. Loads of Dr. appointments which are slowing down for now. I will keep you posted more often on both Braden and the baby.

Hope you all are doing well!
Love, The Duffs!

05/11/07 - Braden is getting so big!!!! He is loving school (had a rough patch) and learning lot of new things. He is moving into the big boy class next week and he seems to be excited about it. Painting and dancing are his favorite things to do...wait take that back his all time favorite thing whether it be at school or home is BOOKS! The kid love to read books, which we love too! If you ask him what he did at school first thing he will always say is Books! At home we are reading to him all the time, he is very into it. Braden has known how to say all the colors for a while now but it you ask him what color something is he would always say blue. This week he is saying what color everything is and 99% of the time he is right. He loves counting but doesn't have it down yet. Ring about the Rosie is another fav of his...."we all fall down" being the best part in his eyes. What little boy doesn't LOVE to fall down. :)

Sleeping and eating like a champ are new things for us that we are all happy with. We have had some hard times with the eating for sure but we bought him his own little table and we put his meal down and he just sits there and eats it. Use to be such a battle in the high chair. Braden sleeps so well know that sometimes I have to go in and wake him up at 8:30 AM (knock on wood**). Which is really nice for Mommy seeing how I can't seem to fall asleep most the time before 1:30 am.

Potty training is our thing right now...which he has taken the lead on. He loves to use the potty, flush and wash his hands. He gets so proud of him self when he does it. No #2 yet but I think soon. He is the only one is his class at school that uses the big boy potty. We are very proud of him!

I just can't get over how big he really is, I was looking at baby pics yesterday and it just has gone by so fast! Where did our baby go? Braden just loves to be a kid, running, jumping, laughing, silly, affectionate little boy. Mommy and Daddy love you!!!!

01/18/07 - Juggling family and work is a lot more time consuming than I could have ever imagined. I wanted to apologize to everyone who checks this site often (or use to) to only be disappointed that nothing ever seems to be new. I always wanted it to be up to date so that everyone could watch Braden grow with us. At this time unfortunately fun things like this have taken a back burner. Thank you Sara, for putting a fire under my butt to at least get something up now and then.

As for Braden he couldn't be better. He is talking really good and is finally coping things I ask him to say. He puts two words together mostly "Mommy No" or his other favorite "No Mommy". He loves to play, dance, color, drum, run, slide and fall! A true sign he is all BOY!

He even has a best friend Zakk who he calls Akk. Braden asked for him several times a day and the two of them have a blast together. They love to chase each other, dance, read books and watch movies. Today is actually his buddies 2nd Birthday so Happy Birthday to Zakk!!!!!

The holidays flew by this year but I guess they do ever year huh! Thanksgiving was a lot of fun and fun to see out families that day. Christmas was a blast of course; Braden was really into opening the gifts this year. He would get distracted by the toy and wouldn't want to open the next one she it took a while to finally get them all open. That was a 3 day event of visiting Grandparents to make sure that everyone got there share of Braden for the holiday. New Years we stopped by our good friends the Culvers and Braden and Everett played and the adults hung out and we all had a great time. We went home and put Braden to bed and the parents had a quite New Years which was nice.

So now it's 2007 and we have a great year ahead of us. We can't wait to see all the new thing Braden will learn and explore. He has started school two days a week. It's only been one week so he is still adjusting but I think he will be just fine. He has lots of friends his age at the school so once he is 2 he will be in class with them as well and I think that will make it easier on him. Right now he is just observing and hasn't participated in much but for being away from me for the first time with out any other family there that is to be expected.
We wish all of you a wonderful New Year as well and hope it's full of wonderful things to come for everyone.

Love,
The Duff's

10/18/06 - So life with a toddler is much busier than I could have imagined! Braden loves to play and giggle. We had to move my office downstairs because he's such a light sleeper and I was waking him up in the middle of the night by working. So he lucked out and got his very own playroom. We got him a table and chairs to sit and and color...boy does this kid love to color. All the time!!!! I think he has it in his blood. When we are not at home playing we are with his friends because he has such a busy social calendar. He as gym class Mondays and a playgroup Tuesday and another Wednesday. Thursdays & Fridays we hang at the house and run errands.

He now has a mouth full of teeth and loves to brush them. Which is a good thing for sure! Loves to play in the tub and some nights it's hard to get him out. He is such a little water lover! As you can tell he loved his swim classes, but we missed the last two due to the Roseola so we didn't get the ribbon of completion. That made me sad.....but we will just do it again next summer. So back to the Rosela....that was no picnic that's for sure. He had high fevers of 104 for 4-5 days and went to the dr. almost everyday and they weren't sure what it was and said it could be Roseala but didn't know for sure. Then sure enough the fever broke and the rash popped out all over his body minus his legs. Which was a extreme cases because mostly it's only on your trunk. It didn't bother him but it was sad to see it all over his body and nothing we could do to help. After 2 days it was gone and he was 100% again.

Braden is still the little picky eater, loves fruits and veggies but when it comes to main courses....he doesn't eat much and still wont drink milk! "What does the chicken say", "what does the Monkey say".....I feel like a broken record, but it's good because Braden's vocal has multiplied in the last month. It's amazing the things he can say now. I love to hear his little voice talk....so precious...I wish I could bottle it up. My fav is when he says "oh no" it's sooooooooooooo cute I could eat him. I will have to get some new video so you can all enjoy too!

That's it for now, hope you all are doing as well! Happy Fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (our favorite)

07/03/06 - Well I think this is the longest I have ever gone with out up dating the site since we started it like 2 years ago. For those of you who check regularly I'm really sorry for dropping the ball. As all you parents out there know it's hard to get time for the extra things like this site that are just for fun. I love to share Braden with everyone because I think he?s the world's greatest kid of course! : )

Braden now has 11 teeth, 4 front top and bottom and then 3 molars. He has also recently had a large growth spurt and think he has gown about 2 inches at least, in the last month or so. He's a little bean sprout who now also knows how to open the doors. So more child proofing!

I think Braden's favorite thing to do is make people laugh, he is such a ham. He does something funny and then looks at you to make sure you are laughing too. Every time you bring out the camera he looks and smiles like here I am shoot away. Little super star!

Last month Braden took his first airplane ride to see his Great Grandma is Illinois. The flight there was not fun for any of us that is for sure but thankfully the way home was picture perfect. We believe he had a hard time adjusting to the pressure and his ears were hurting him because he doesn't normally just scream like he did for no reason. Thankfully they plan was not full and we were able to have an extra seat for him. The way home we brought the car seat on board and he feel asleep right away and stayed that way for 2 hours and then watched Elmo the rest of the flight. A huge difference the car seat makes, at least for my kid it does. We will NEVER fly again with out it. Over all it was a great trip and it was great to see Braden with is Great Grandma...they both enjoyed it and had a great time.

This will be a busy summer for us. Braden has Gym class, Music class and this weekend start swim lessons. We also have been taking him to Disneyland a lot since we got the passes at his birthday. He loves it there and is great exercise for all of us...so much walking!

I'm sure there are so many things to tell you all about but Braden calls...its lunch time! I hope you all are doing well and please sign out guest book to let us know that you have stopped by. : - )

04/25/06 - The wonderful world of a toddler! Braden loves to explore everything. He is very observant of things and people around him. For instance every morning we take Macio outside to go potty and being that we don't have a yard we have to pick up after her right away. So we use plastic bags and I let Braden hold one while we wait for Macio to do her business. Braden will walk over to the side of the driveway were the dirt is and bend over with the bag in had and act like he is picking up stuff from the dirt. Just like Mommy does...it's the cutest thing. He also loves to take paper towels and rub them on everything...he is cleaning like Mommy and Daddy do. It's amazing how they really do soak up stuff like a sponge.

Braden is walking like a pro and almost running sometimes. He sure does keep us on our toes. Still have a couple more drawers to child proof and then were all done.

Teething is not such a wonderful thing for parents or children. Braden has 8 now. 4 top, 3 bottoms and 1 molar. It affects everything he does, eating, sleeping and mood for sure. For the most part he is always in a great mood but every once in a while you can just tell he does not feel good. His whole had will be in his mouth and he will be screaming! I hate to seem him in pain as I know all parents do.

I guess the biggest thing going on now is I'm weaning him. It's going good so far he actually slept though the night 3 nights in a row after having some really rough night prior to that. Daddy and Mommy will be happy to finally get a decent night sleep. I really can't believe I made it this far breastfeeding. I remember the first few days and I didn't think I would make it one week. I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking to it. Pat pat on my back...lol

We had a great Easter! Braden did an eater egg hunt with his friends and it was great. Check out the photos when you get a chance. There was a photographer there and she took some great shoots of him?his eyes look so amazing!

Thank you everyone for checking in on Braden. We hope you all are doing as great as he is.

03/21/06 - I can't believe that Braden's birthday was 3 weeks ago. We have been so busy since then. Braden is now a walker. You can check out some new videos in the picture section. He has been working on getting more teeth but still only 4 of them are out. He had his one year check up and shoots which went great. Until a few days after when he had a reaction to the chicken pox vaccine. He had about 3 chicken poxs so he was on quarantine for a week or so. That has all cleared up and he loves seeing his friends again

So as you can see on his pictures we went to Disneyland on Braden?s birthday and we all had a blast. Braden smiled and giggled the whole time we were there. He loved his Mickey balloon the best. Zack took him on the Mary go Round for his first ride and they had a great time. When Braden would come around he would wave to me soooooooooo cute. I tried to get pictures and video but never really got a great shot. But it?s burned in my memories for sure. The following Saturday was his birthday party and all his friends were there. It was a beautiful day and I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. I couldn't believe when it was over I didn't want the day to end and for more than one reason. Not only did I have a ton of fun but my baby was growing up. I wanted time to stand still just a little bit. He is enjoying everything around him it's just so much fun to watch him discover new things, but now my baby (who will always be my baby) is a toddler. How did that happen?!

I hope everyone is doing well and thank you for watching Braden grow!

Love,
The Duff's

02/28/06 - I still can't believe it's been a year. I'm really blown away by it. I can't believe my baby is one! Wow! So it's almost midnight and I was just writing Braden's birthday card so I'm kind of sentimental right now. This time last year I couldn't sleep and I was counting the minutes to my c-section. Time has really just flown by.

It's so amazing how much you love them.....you really can't explain it. I waited my how life to be a Mom and it's so much more than I could have ever dreamed of.

Braden,

We love you and you will always be our baby boy! Mommy and Daddy will always be here for you and support you in all your life's choices. May all your years be as happy as your first!

We love you,
Mom & Dad

02/25/06 - Today was my due date last year and boy was I was ready to POP.....I can't beleive that my baby is going to be ONE YEAR OLD in 4 days!

02/17/06 - Well if you could tell by the lag time in post, we have been pretty busy lately. Braden keeps me busy during the days with music class and play dates and then I have been working nights. Zack works all day and then comes home to hang with Braden while I get in more work time. Weekends we just hang out as a family, as you can see from the pictures last week we went to the beach. Braden loved it! Can't wait for summer now.

So all I can say is holly cow! It's so hard to believe this time last year I was huge and we were counting the days to meeting Braden and dreaming of holding him in our arms. Now he's almost ONE! How does that happen in the blink of an eye. This last year has been the best of my life and I enjoy every moment we all have together.

Braden is very close to walking around the room. He has taken 5-6 steps at a time and each day they get more confident. His very fist step was Jan 12th, so he was about 10 ½ months. He beet me but tied with his daddy. I walked on my fist b-day and Zack was also 10 ½ months. He's such a good crawler (fast) that I think he prefers it to walking. We'll keep practicing.

Well I hope everyone is doing well and happy that I have finally updated the site (Heidi!). I will post again after Braden's birthday along with pictures. Oh yeah we are going to Disneyland on his birthday...can't wait to see his face when he see Mickey for the first time. :)

01/16/06 - I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since I have posted! Time just flies by these days. Braden keeps us busy that is for sure. He is crawling and climbing on everything, so we have to watch him like a hawk of course. His latest and greatest accomplishment is standing on his own and just this last Thursday (1/12/06) he took his first 2 steps! Yeah Braden..such a big boy. Every day we work on his standing and walking and before we know it he will be running around and I'm sure getting into everything!

He has also gotten his top two teeth so that makes 4 chompers! I have been trying to give him finger foods at every meal. Some time he eats it all right up and other times I think Macio is getting most of it. Braden loves to share with her and you know that when ever there is food she is not far behind. The two of them get along great. Braden will throw her the ball and she will get it and bring it back to him to throw again, it's so cute!

I hope everyone's holidays were as great as ours. Braden was truly our best gift. Now that he is with us it's almost hard to remember all the years we dreamed of him. We are so fortunate to have him with us and we cherish him. Well the big Fist Birthday is on its way...can't believe he is almost a year old. It's been a great year and we look forward to lots and lots more of them.

11/30/05 - Wow, time fly's when you're having fun! I can?t believe how long it's been since I have written. Braden has grown so much over the last month or so. Just today I came across one of his newborn diapers and boy was it small. It's so hard to believe that he was that tiny at one time. I know wait till he's in collage and then say that right...lol. But in all reality he has made so many changes it's almost everyday he learns something new. As most of you know Braden is an observer and it's really paying off because he seems to really grasp new things very quickly. Like clapping for example took him about 3 days to learn that..amazing I know! The book says some kids don't clap till there are 13 months. He does so many things it would take a whole page to write about each one so here is a list:

Waving
Clapping
Crawling
2 Teeth
Pulls up on everything!
Sits up by himself
Walks along the furniture
Plays ball
Says Dada, Baba, Mama and Hi (don't think he knows what they mean just yet)
Says No by shaking is head side to side (and knows what it means)
I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of right now.

We've had a rough month or so in the sleeping department. Braden deiced to STOP sleeping though the night. I talking 2-3 times a night he was up and hungry at most of them. Dr. said it probably started out as hunger and then went to hey if I wake up and cry you will feed me,so great I can when ever I want. So we started havening Daddy go in first and if he still wouldn't sleep he was hungry. That in combination with a few cry out sessions and the heater at 75 degrees we ALL sleep thought the night for 3 nights now and loving it. So everyone knock on wood right now! Thanks!

Braden has his 9 month B-day and doctor's appointment tomorrow. So I will let you all know is new stats. I think he's about 19lbs 8oz and 27.5...but we will see. Not shots at 9 months so that is good! This is our favorite time of year! Well, starting with Halloween of course. Zack filled you all in about our Halloween which was a blast. Then on to Thanksgiving, we went to both Grandparents that day and eat and eat and eat...it was soooooooo good! Braden got a little cranky and sleep though the first turkey meal. After a couple hours of grumpy but and two naps he was good to go again. The second meal he hung out and eats his pea/rice and apples/plums while we all ate. The boy loves his food that is for sure! So over all Thanksgiving was a wonderful day. Our tradition is decorating the tree the day after thanksgiving and we missed it last year do to our move,so this year was great. I love to see all the holiday stuff up and twinkling. Braden likes the tree and is not quite sure about the branches yet but loves to look at it. He helped hang a few ornaments. December is a busy month for us already almost all booked up between Braden's holiday party with his friends and our family parties. Who has time to shop...well I better get busy. I can't wait to see the look on Braden's face Christmas morning...when he sees all the paper he can play with. We wish everyone a very Happy Holidays!

11/02/05 - Well its November and our favorite time of year! Thanksgiving, our favorite holiday is just around the corner and we hope this post finds everyone happy and healthy. Braden is awesome!! He had a great Halloween. We all went to a party the Tursday before Halloween with all of his friends and were able to see everyone (Bradens friends) in their costumes, it was a blast. Alison went to a Halloween party on Saturday and had a great time. It was a costume party and she went as a cereal killer. She took a bunch of the mini boxes of cereal and stuck knives into them and used red marker for the blood. She looked great. Alison had a great time at the costume party with all of her friends. I decided to stay home with the little man and hang out. We had dinner and played and laughed and took a shower and read a book and then off to bed. We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of times and that went OK. Both times Braden was tired and just not to into the whole thing. He will enjoy it more next year. Halloween night was a lot of fun as well. We went to both Grandparents house to trick-or-treat and so they could see him in his dinosaur costume. After he got his treats (jars of peas, candy and a toy truck) we left to go back home. For the first time ever we ... had trick-or-treaters!! It was only 3 or 4 sets but still it was better than none at all.

We have had to lower his crib to the lowest setting possible. He is now pulling himself up into the standing posistion in his crib. We think he is asleep and will walk in and there he is, just standing away. he is belly crawling all over the place now so we have to get baby gates this weekend. The other day I was folding his laundry and he was hanging out with me, next thing i know he is on his way down the hallway to see his mom. It is a good 25 feet or so and he made it down there pretty fast! It is amazing to watch him grow. He is amazing.

Last weekend we also went up to see uncle Jeremey at his new place in Venice. He has a great place about 30 yards from the beach and the Venice boardwalk. We all (myself, Alison, Braden, Grandma D, and Jer) walked the boardwalk and had a great lunch at the Sidewalk Cafe. We had a blast.

Anyway, that is all for me. Alison will be posting soon.

09/26/05 - So do you count the teeth as they cut through or when they are fully up? Braden has one tooth that is half way up and another that just cut through on Saturday. I'm not sure what date to use for his baby book...any one has suggestions? Any way he now has two teeth!!! What a big boy! In honor of those pearly whites and the fast approaching holiday season we would like to dedicate this next song to Braden. Now playing, All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth by The Count from Sesame Street.

Over the last few days we have been trying to give Braden more fruits and veggies with less starch (he got a little back up) and in this process we found some foods that he is not to fond of. Turns out the boy doesn't really care for APPLES! Come on now...who doesn't like apples? Makes faces at the juice and the food...silly boy doesn't he know an apple a day keeps the Dr. away. Zack was able to feed him some of the apple food but he wouldn't take it from me. I guess Daddy has that special touch. One thing I know for sure is that Braden LOVES his Daddy! His face lights up every time Zack walks in the room, actually both there faces light up, every time I see it my heart melts! I love my men! Speaking of Daddy, Braden has been saying da da and ba ba...still no ma ma... hopefully soon!

We got back from Las Vegas yesterday and Braden was great the whole weekend! The car ride there (and back) was very smooth, we stopped a few times for Braden to nurse but the rest of the time he slept or played it was great. The first night was a long one...he didn't like not sleeping in his crib. He was fussy because he was so tired and he didn't want to sleep in the pack-in-play so I rocked him and he finally fell asleep next to me on the bed (which means I didn't sleep) and then once he was sound asleep I picked him up and placed him in the pack-in-play, the moment he would roll over and touch the side he would wake up screaming! So I would pick him up rock him and set him next to me on the bed and once he was asleep I would put him back in...and he would wake up screaming again...this went on about 6-7 times and finally about 2:30 decided to leave him in bed with me. Zack had just gotten back from Adrian's bachelor party so with us on both sides we knew he wouldn't roll off the bed. Only problem was I couldn't sleep...I always worry when he's on the bed. So I finally fell asleep about 3:30am and had to get up at 6:15 to go meet Steph and the ladies for the days prep for the wedding at 3:00pm. So needless to say Braden sleep wonderful last night when he was back in his own bed. The wedding was beautiful and went off with out a hitch! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Adrian Amposta!!!!!

OK I have a bone to pick with some of you readers out there. Over the last week or so I have ran into several people who have seen this site and admitted to not signing the guest book. I would love to hear from everyone who stops by. Please just say hello in the guest book if that is all you have time for. I do most of these post at 1and 2am so I would be nice to know that someone is actually reading them. OK, now that I have that off my chest..I hope you all have a wonderful week and Braden says " oo,s ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzvdafsaf gfhfb".

09/20/05 - Things are going great in Braden's neck of the woods. He had his first trip to play in the park last weekend and he loved it. Wasn't quite sure of the grass at first but he felt it and then did seem to mind it. Macio played ball and would run back over to make sure the little man was still ok.

Braden is eating up a storm! Every night he has some rice cereal and a whole jar of a stage one veggie. He barley gets any on his face any more, it all makes it right into the mouth. He gets upset if I don't feed it to him fast enough,he starts to pound on the high chair...so cute...at least for now :). So far he has had carrots, peas, green beans and squash and he has loved all of them. Such a good eater! We dropped the 11pm feeding and he is sleeping from 8:30pm to 7:30am. Which is great but, I miss the 11pm feeding it was great to cuddle while he was a sleep. I miss him not sleeping in out room at night because I love to watch him sleep. I could stare at him for hours, he is just so amazing!

Still not crawling but working on it for sure. He loves to go from sitting up to his belly on his own. It started about 2 weeks ago, he was reaching for a toy just out of his reach and he fell forward to his tummy and now he can do it when ever he wants. He just needs to get the knees up for the crawling. I will try to get a video of it so you can all see what I mean...it's hard to explain. So we will have to lower the crib to the lowest level because he is learning how to pull up. He hasn't done it yet but I think very soon!

This weekend will be his (our) first trip/vacation! We are heading to Las Vegas for Adrian and Stephanie's wedding!!! We can't wait and I know Adrian and Steph can't either. We hope to have photos to post when we get back but Zack and I are in the wedding party so may not have time to do photos. We will have plenty of out trip though...Friday we are taking Braden to see the sharks and lions...should be a fun!

Almost fall...can't wait...our favorite time of the year. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas...it will be Braden's Birthday before we know it. Speaking of Birthdays I almost forgot...I just had my 28th B-Day on the 12th and it was great! Zack, Braden and Macio got me some great gifts. One was a pottery class that starts in October. It's 3 hrs. a week for 10 weeks...I can't wait! They know I have been wanting to do it for years plus it will be good for me to have a little"me" time every week and the boys will watch Monday night Football while I'm gone.

That's it for now...I will try and post when we get back from the wedding!

09/04/05 - Can you believe it's been 6 months...that's a half of a year. At this rate his 1st birthday will be here before we know it! Everyday Braden is learning and discovering new things, such as the carpet, sitting on his own, how to get from sitting to his belly on his own, how to use a sippy cup, eating cereal and how to take off his diaper. He is such a happy baby who loves to laugh. It use to be that we had to really try to get him to laugh and now you can just do something silly and he will giggle away...I love that sound!

On September 1st Braden had his 6 moth check up, which went great! The Dr. is very proud of him and said that he is advanced for his age (proud mom can't you tell). She had him sit for her so she could see it for herself and sure enough he sat straight up and held out his arms. She smiled and said "he sure can sit", as I'm standing there beaming with joy. So his new stats as of 6 months are: height 27in (60%), head 17 ¼ in (70%) and weight 17 lbs 3 oz (55%). As you can see he is growing right on track! He also had his round of 6 month shots and he did great with them. Once the shots were done and I picked him up he didn't cry again...such a brave little man.

We started with cereal again and he is doing much better this time, last night he even eat a whole serving vs. the 3 little spoonfuls the prior days. Tonight we tried carrots and he ate some but wasn't too fond of it. Hopefully tomorrow he will be a little more interested. He now has his own high chair like a big boy...will post pictures soon!

Braden picked out new toys today...6 month toys...a whole new world opens up at 6 months. One is a telephone because he loves to grab the phone and remotes so we got him one of his own and so far he likes it. I'm sure he will still want the remote....what boy doesn't!

So much changes everyday I'm sure I'm leaving something out. Just keep checking for more posts. Between work and Braden I haven't been posting as much as I would like but I will try and do more if I can. By the way I know there are some of you out there that are reading this and have not signed the guest book...Please sign, we would love to know you stopped by. We hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!
