Conner lost his first tooth!!! He was so excited! We noticed it was loose maybe 4 or 5 days before it fell out. We were up visiting Grandma Schrader the other night (the 22nd) and Conner was having a piece of pizza when it fell out. It had been really loose but he didn't want us to pull it. He is pretty excited to have the tooth fairy come tonight, and he has been telling people that he hopes to get enough money from the tooth fairy so he can build his very own baseball field!!

Conner is playing t-ball again this summer and is loving every minute of it. He keeps track of what days his games are and the morning of his game he will wake up early and put his uniform on first thing. Then all day long he will keep track of the time to make sure we are not late to his game (his games usually aren't unitl 6:30p or later!! but boy is he ready!). He also loves to draw baseball fields, and he is really good at it. He is very detailed and will even draw different fields.

Conner still continues to be the BEST big brother too. He loves Brendan so much and he can make him laugh better than anyone can!

Conner is the BEST big brother. He loves Brendan so much and is so good to him. He is always keeping track of where Brendan is and what he is doing. Brendan is one lucky little boy to have such a great big brother!

Conner also is still enjoying pre-school. It's great that he is so excited to go everyday! He loves learning and coming home and telling us all about what he has learned. He is such a great kid, the other day he showed us he knew how to be a leader and do what is right even when everyone else around him was disobeying. His teacher sent him home with a special prize the other day because he was behaving when all the other kids in his class were not. We are so proud of him!

Conner received a Wii for Christmas and absolutley loves it! His latest favorite game to play is Mario. Uncle Travis has been staying some weekends with us lately and he can hardly get in the door before Conner can ask him to play Mario with him. He is amazed at how good Uncle Travis is at Mario.

Conner started preschool in August and is getting smarter and bigger everyday. He loves school and doesn't like to miss. He is also learning quite a bit. He does real well in school, the other day he even counted backwards from 100 for us. He still loves to color and his drawing and coloring has improved quite a bit also. It still seems as though his favorite thing to draw is baseball fields. He does enjoy other sports quite a bit such as basketball, soccer and football, but baseball is still his favorite.

Conner is also pretty excited for his baby brother's arrival. He asks a lot when his baby brother will be here.

Conner has quite a busy summer. We signed him up for t-ball this summer for the first time and he has loved every minute of it. The other night at his game he caught a fly ball for the first time in a game and was so excited. Everyone in the crowd cheered for him and he was just grinning ear to ear. He loves baseball so much and takes his t-ball games so serious. Usually the day of one of his games, he gets up in the morning and puts on his uniform and asks all day long what time his game is. He's too funny.Daddy has been coaching again this summer so we keep quite busy going to a lot of his games too.

Also, Conner is going to be a big brother! We found out in May that we are expecting another baby. Conner has been pretty excited and talks about the baby all the time, about all the things he is going to show it and do with it. It is pretty cute and I think he is going to make a great big brother. The baby is due at the end of December.

Wow, it has been so long since I have updated Conner's site! I'm sorry to those who check for updates. Well since the last post we have had a lot going on.

We have since moved to Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Conner has a new school he attends. He has done really good adjusting and loves to go to school. He has a great teacher and has made great friends in his class. At school they have been working on learning how to write different letters and he does a great job with his letters. So far he can write the letters: L, T, E, F. Q, M, N, H, O, Y, Z and can somewhat write the letters C, and R. So, he can write his own name but sometimes needs help with his C and R. At school they focus on one letter a week and learn how to write it and learn about different words that start with that letter.  We also found out in November that Conner was extremely far-sighted and needed glasses. He has done very good with his glasses (probably since he can see so much better.) He's such a good kid!! Conner also celebrated his 4th birthday in November. Wow how time flies, we couldn't believe he was already turning 4, it seems like he was just born not too long ago! He is growing up so fast and he is so stinking smart!!

Conner still continues to love baseball but since we have moved he has also got to experience football and basketball games and has learned to love them also. We attended all of the home football games at the university that Daddy works for, and Conner really enjoyed going to them. We have also been going to quite a few basketball games there.

Conner also LOVES Christmas!!! This year he has just been so excited for christmas. He loves decorating for Christmas and has helped decorate not only our house but also both of his grandparents houses. I am told that his Daddy was also this crazy about decorating and Christmas when he was little. We also have a calendar that we have been counting down the days til Christmas. He has also been acting like he was Santa wearing Grandma's santa hat and using our dog, Elway as his reindeer. It was too funny, but he makes a good santa going around saying "HO HO HO Merry Christams!!"

It is so fun to watch Conner grow up and I will try to be better about keeping his site updated with not only stories but also pictures. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

March 19, 2009

I know it has been a long time since I have wrote a story about Conner, Sorry! Since the last time I wrote, we had a great time getting to go back home to celebrate Christmas with our family, and just recently we enjoyed a trip down to Mobile/Orange Beach, Alabama with the Baseball team for Spring Break. We had a great time and Conner really loved running around on the beach and watching baseball almost every day.

Conner is still growing up way too fast. He is getting so stinkin' smart. For example, the other night we went to the pond to feed the ducks and there were some other little kids there. One of the little boys there started throwing a fit to his grandpa and we walked right past them. Conner turned to me and told me "mommy, that boy is making a bad choice." And he kept going on about the boys bad behavior. It was too funny! He is also still obsessed with baseball (surprised??haha). He loves to line things up (mostly just his letters from the bath) and announce them like they are baseball players. Then when he gets them all lined up he will sing the national anthem and they will play a game. When the game is over he is push them all under the couch and say "games over. the baseball players are going to eat!" He definitely keeps us smiling!!

December 16, 2008

So we have recently learned that Conner loves to sing. Apparently this is a trait he has received from Mommy, as I was told I used to sing constantly about anything and everything when I was little. The other night Conner was singing "Santa Claus is coming to town" (his new song he has recently learned at school) but instead of saying Sata Claus he said "Albert Pujols is coming to town." It was too funny!! He loves anything and everyting to do with baseball and baseball players. He has a book with a bunch of well known baseball players and he can pick out which one is Albert Pujols and Derek Jeter. The other night when Daddy asked Conner his rankings for the best baseball players, Conner replied 1. Pujols 2. Jeter 3. Daddy 4. Conner.

November 19, 2008

Well Conner celebrated his 3rd birthday friday, but he was sick that weekend so we didn't get to do a whole lot for it. We did however take him out to eat to Cowboy's BBQ (his choice) and we had a birthday cake for him. He also received a present from Mom & Dad, and was very excited about all the cards he received from our family (Thank you!).

September 7th, 2008

I know it has been a long time since I have updated Conner's site. Sorry about that. He has really changed a lot since the last story. He talks so much more now, and is developing quite the personality. He also has a really good memory, and becoming a lot more independent. For example, he like to do things for himself, like go potty by himself, get his own snacks and drinks, and even pick up after himself (most of the time). He refers to himself as "Conner" and whenever he wants to do something by himself he will say "Conner do it" and even sometimes tells us to "go away." He is also starting to understand and talk more in sentences. Some of our favorite things to hear him say are "allll the time" and "member" (meaning remember). For example he will be eating a popsicle and say "Conner likes to eat green popsicles allll the time" (yes he draws out the all). or he will say "Conner doesn't like that mommy, member?"

When we came back from our summer at home Conner started daycare at a new "school." It took him a little while to adjust going into new surroundings and new people, but he is starting to adapt better. He seems to enjoy school for the most part and we love to hear him tell us about his day when he gets home. A lot of the classes at his school eat in one big lunch room and he always tells us that he doesn't like the lunch room because it is "too loud."

He is still obsessed with baseball and wants to play constantly. He is getting really good too. We can hardly play inside anymore because he hits it so hard, and he is getting better at catching the ball too. When we can talk him into taking a break from baseball he also enjoys painting, playing with his blocks and once in awhile watching some of his movies.

March 11, 2008

Conner is too funny. He is very observant and picks up on things quite easily. This past weekend we went to one of daddy's baseball games. When we came home Conner, like always, wanted to play baseball. So he got his bat and brought us the ball to throw to him. He then went and got his stocking cap and wanted me to put it on him, like a batting helmet. So we would throw him the ball and after he would hit it he would throw the hat off of his head and take off running down the hallway and then come back and slide into the living room (as usual). He has sinced moved on to wearing one of daddy's baseball hats instead of his stocking cap. Also, the other night we went to Wal-Mart (one of Conner's favorite places to go) and we were getting some more Rice Krispies (one of his favorite foods) and Justin handed Conner the box to put in the cart. Conner first looked around the box to see the back before putting it in the cart. Once before I tried to get him Rice Krispies and they had Barbie on the back and he didn't want them because of Barbie. So now he always checks to make sure that there is no "girly" Barbie on his cereal before we can buy it.

February 19, 2008

Conner has taken another step forward in the potty training process and will now allow us to put big boy underwear on him. For awhile he would not even let us try them on him, but now he will, so just to get used to them for now we just put them on over his diaper. Conner is developing quite the personality. He is so funny just to watch. He difinately picks up a lot of phrases from us. For example, the other morning we were eating breakfast and the dog started scratching on the back door, Conner has heard us get on to the dog for doing that quite a bit, so he turned and yelled "Stop it dog, Don't jump on the door." He is getting really smart too. He can count to ten, and sometimes farther, and he recognizes some of his letters. He knows the letter "o" and he knows that Elway starts with the letter "E". He will pick the letter E out of his magnetic letters and say "E for Elway" at one time it was "O for Olway" but he's got it figured out now. Conner also still loves to sing, his teachers tell me that he is always singing at school. Some of his favorite songs are Happy Birthday, Jesus Loves Me, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, and the LaLa LaLa LaLa song from Super Chapel at school.

We have been thankful that Conner has been pretty healthy lately. He hasn't had an ear infection in quite a while thanks to the tubes and him and I were both lucky not to catch the flu from Justin this past week.

December 12, 2007

Last night Conner performed in his very first Christmas Program at his school (daycare). Each class got up and performed 2-3 songs. Since Conner is usually pretty shy around large crowds I figured he probably would be scared and not want to go up in front of everyone. But he surprised us all, even his teachers, he marched right up on stage and sang and did all the motions to the songs. It was so cute! He was just smiling the whole time. In fact when his class was finished and it was time to come off the stage, Conner didn't want to the come down, he wanted to stay on stage. He is so funny!!

Since the last story Conner celebrated his 2nd birthday. He is so grown up now!! We had a little party for him over Thanksgiving break. Thank you to all of you that were able to come! I know Conner had a great time getting to see you all! Conner thought it was great to hear everyone singing Happy Birthday to him. Also, since then we moved Conner into a "Big Boy Bed" and out of his crib. He was pretty excited about it. The only thing is that now he will wake up about 5am and go lay on the couch! o well!

November 6,2007

I know it's been so long since I have updated Conner's site, Sorry!

Well, next week Conner will celebrate his 2nd birthday! Time really flies!

Since the last update Conner has changed so much! He now can identify most of his colors and counts to 3 (or 4 I should say because most the time he skips 3).His vocabulary has really taken off! He talks quite a bit now and we can usually understand what he is talking about. He has learned a lot of his animals and the sounds they make including dog, cat, cow, horse, owl, duck, monkey, and lion (and I'm sure there are a couple more I may be forgetting). He also still loves to play with Elway, they act like brothers sometimes the way they pick on each other. Conner loves to have the dog go to the park with us and thinks it's hilarious when Elway goes on the equipment with him.

August 19, 2007

Conner has really started to take off on expanding his language and knowledge. He has started to recognize and even knows some of his colors. The two he knows real well are red and blue. And if someone says 1 for him he will count to 3. He has started to put words into sentences, he says "I want more of that." and he loves to sing. Right now his favorite song to sing is "Bob the Builder", who by the way he loves anything and everything to do with Bob the Builder. He has also learned some of Bob's characters such as Scoop and Dizzy. We accidently showed him Bob's website, and now thats all he seems to want to do anymore is to play Bob on the computer. But he still loves to play baseball and with Elway.

July 21, 2007

For the 4th of July, Grandpa Randy and Grandma Nancy came down to visit. We went down to the firework display they put on here down by the river. At first Conner was pretty scared but as he got used to it he ending up loving it! Grandpa and Grandma also brought Conner a new swimming pool, which after a little getting used to he really enjoyed! He even figured out how to blow bubbles in the water!

Well as you can tell by the pictures we got a new member of the family. Elway, our puppy, is 8 weeks old and is a lab mix. Conner absolutely LOVES him. All he ever wants to do is play with him. He like to have him chase him around. Also, we finally took Conner's pacifier away, and he did pretty good with it. I thought it would be horrible, but he only cried for about 15 minutes the first night without it! He such a big boy. I think he is also starting to hit the "terrible twos" stage of his life. He wants to be Mr. Independent!

July 3, 2007

Big News!! Last night Conner pottied in the big boy potty for the first time! He was pretty excited for himself and we were excited for him! He has also started talking a whole lot more too! He talks all the time but we can only understand about half of what he says. He does say "please" now when he asks for something. He loves to sing, and his favorite song to sing is "Jesus loves me" but he also trys to sing his "ABC's" too.

Conner's absolute favorite thing to do these days is to go play at the playground right near our house. The other night we got him to finally get on a trike and try to ride it. He hasn't quite figured the pedals out yet, but as smart as he is I'm sure he'll have a hang of it in no time.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Fourth of July!

June 10, 2007

Just a couple of days ago we got home from vacationing in Florida. We flew out of Memphis and met Grandma and Grandpa Mullins, Uncle Travis and soon-to-be Aunt Rachelle in Orlando. This was Conner's first experience flying, and he did really good. Most of the time he slept! We spent half off the time staying in Daytona at a resort right on the beach. Conner got to see the ocean for the first time, and he wasn't too excited about going in it but he did walk in a little ways if we were holding his hand. The other half of the time we stayed at a resort in Orlando. We hung out a lot at the pool, and Conner loved swimming, once he got used to it! We also took a day trip to Tampa to take Conner to his very first major league baseball game. We saw the Devilrays play the good ole' Royals. It was a lot of fun! We all sported our Royals gear! Make sure to check out our vaction pictures on the picture page.

May 20, 2007

Daddy is now done with school and baseball so last weekend we took a long weekend to go back home to visit friends and family. We had a lot of fun and we were glad we had the chance to go. Conner of course, loved getting all the attention! This weekend was our first weekend to actually just do whatever, so we took Conner for his first fishing trip. We bought him his own little fishing pole and he loved it.

Conner has now officially moved up into the small toddler class (ages 18months-2 1/2yr) at school. He is doing really well in there. His teachers tell me that he is the best eater and always eats everything on his plate. Since he has had his tubes put in he has already had 2 more ear infections. When we went back to see the specialist he said that one of his tubes was clogged. Having to watch them unclog it was not very fun, and Conner didn't enjoy it either. But now he is doing better!

April 29, 2007

Well right after I had posted my last story about Conner not having to have tubes put in his ears, he came down with yet another ear infection Easter weekend. So he went ahead and had the tubes put in on April 12. Everything went smooth, and Conner was back to his normal self by the time we got home from the hospital. Also since the last story Conner has went ahead and moved up to the older class, which is called the small toddler class. The age range in there is 18months to 2 1/2yr. He has really been enjoying it in there, they have a lot more planned activites and they get to go outside twice each day, so Conner really loves that. Everyday they do some type of artwork, so we now have a frig full of his artwork.

April 4, 2007

I know I must have said this a million times in all my stories about Conner, but I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He is getting so smart too! We went to the ear specialist monday to find out that as of right now Conner doesn't need to have tubes put in, which is a big relief. But the doc did say that if he gets another ear infection within a couple of weeks, he would have to reconsider. So, lets all pray that doesn't happen. I would hate to have to see Conner go under. But since his ear infections have healed up you can tell he can hear a lot better because just within the past couple of days his vocabulary has grown a ton! He says "ought oh" really clear and says it all the time whenever he sees something dropped or on the floor. He also loves to talk about and watch baseball (i'm sure no one guessed that was coming). Conner has also taken a liking to watching movies, especially Kidsongs and his new movie Bob the Builder, which he does say Bob Mo (movie) when he wants Bob the builder. He has also figured out on our T.V exactly which button to push to start the movie. Conner has also gotten pretty good about obeying too, well with the exception of at school. For some reason he always goes around the class hitting and pulling the hair of the smaller babies, especially when the babies cry. But, he is going to move up to the older class by May, so I think that will stop all the hitting and biting, Hopefully. When he is not hitting and biting other babies, he has a new buddy who is only 2 days younger than Conner that he like to chase around and play with. His name is Tyson, and they are so cute when they play together. Well, tomorrow our class is having an Easter party, so I will try to take some pics and put them up so everyone can see Conner's friends.
