Watch Our Family Grow

Whew we have survived another Northwest winter and are happily aproaching some spring weather!! Sam and Ella have been some busy children, Ella is still loving first grade and has many silly first grade games and antics to prove it! Sam is growing so fast that he is growing out of his pants daily one day they are fine and the next thing I know he is wearing highwaters!! While they are both learning alot in school they just started spring sports, Ella is doing her first year of Softball its quite a change from Tball because the girls on the team will be pitching to one another, this should make for an entertaining season! Sam is also playing ball this year and its going to be his first year with the "little leauge" he is very happy and excited to play with the big boys. I will be emailing out schedules for those of you who want to catch a game or two! I hope you all enjoy your spring and I promise I will do a better job updating the website now that I have a camera to take pictures with :)!!

Wow... Both kids are in school, I didn't think I'd see the day and here it is!! Ella just started first grade and she was soo happy to be back at school and see all of her friends, She loves her new teacher Ms. Newman and loves being able to eat lunch and go to recess. Sam just started Preschool two days a week and he was hesitant at first but he loves it, he said he "likes doing circle time wif the other guys". I am soo proud of my two babies they are growing up soooo fast!!

Happy Birthday Ella and Gigi!!! My it has been a busy summer! We have had some non stop action this summer with camping at deception pass and playing at Papa and Gigi's Lake and watsching the turtles hatch, to camping at ocean shores and going to Udy's Cabin on Anderson Island. We have had some fun adventures like flying kites and intertubing for the first time. Now the weather is fastily changing and school is just around the corner, Ella is starting all day first grade and will now be having lunch at school mommy is slightly nervous but I know that she will do just fine and she is very excited to see all her friends. Sam is also starting his first year of preschool two days a week and I hope that I dont get empty nest syndrome! Next week both the kids will be back to playing sports (soccer) and swimming lessons and we will be running around like crazy people making sure everyone get to practice on time!! We had double Tball saturday yesterday!! Sam had his very first Tball game and he did so well! He had 3 great hits and a couple of good throws to first base, we are soooo excited to see him begin his baseball journey because we know it will be a great one he is such a baseball player!! Ella also had her last game of tball for the season and it was great they played at a special feild and had an announcer who said stats about all the players!! It was great fun to hear Ellas name being called as she went up to bat! Now that that crazy day is over we are nearing the last days of school!! Ella and Jason have 2 days of school left and then I will have a FIRST grader AHHHHH!!! Also next week is Sam's 3rd Birthday I cant beleive how fast these past 3 years have gone by! And if thats not busy enough Jason andI will be taking off for Washington D.C. to chaperone a trip for his 8th graders on the 25th of June. We are excited to go to the east coast escpecially me because I have never been, although I must admit I am nervous about leaving my babies for a whole week, I will miss then like crazy!! Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms Mothers Grandmas and Aunties in our life! The Lunders are having a very busy spring Ella is playing on the Mill Creek little league tball team this year and daddy is the coach. There are lots of girls on Ellas team that she knows from school and some that she nows through mom and dad. She is having a blast and improving alot from last year. Sam's Tball that Daddy is also coaching will start next week we are all excited to see what he can do on the field!! Mommy is working hard at her schooling and is looking forward to the sunny weather so she can kick the kids outside!! Daddy is working hard with his students and getting ready for our big D.C. trip in June which Mommy will also be attending as a chaperone this year Yay!! Were soo excited! Hope yall are enjoying the spring and we hope to see you at some tball games!!

The new year is almost here, and I can't wait to see where 2010 will take us! We had a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of family and friends and lots of food! On Christmas Eve morning we took the kids up to Snoqualime summit with our Friends the Turcotts and their two girls Katie and Maddie, the kids had a blast but were ready to go in after out two hour session! Ella of course was the daredevil going adown the hill all by herself and putting her havds up as if it were a roller coaster, our sweet sam was a little bit more hesitent but enjoyed it none the less! Christmas eve we had a feast of Ham and homemade mac and cheese with Papa and Gigi at our house then we tucked the kids in bed and threatned them with "santa is watching" one last time before turning in ourselves! Christmas am started for us about 6:00 cuz thats when the kids decided it was time. Christmas day was very relaxing and fun. Ella had her very first trip to disnsyland this week and she had a blast! She was very brave and did all the rides in fact her favorite is space mountain which is a roller coaster ride in the pitch dark we went on it 6 times in one day! She enjoyed meeting all the princesses at her special princess dinner she was especialy excited to see Ariel and so was Mommy!! We had a great girls trip to the Park!

I cooked a great Thanksgiving dinner, my first time all by myself. Julia Child move over! It was a good day with the Hares and for some reason the kids were extremely thankful for the tooth fairy every time we asked them what they were thankful for. I was pooped after all the cooking and eating so it was an early to bed night. No black Friday shopping for me.

December is coming up. Ella, and I and Gigi are going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks and we're going to meet Minnie Mouse. Sam is growing tall and perfecting his swing. (Gonna have to move his tee outdoors for his swinging soon before he takes out a window.) He's really good.

What an exciting weekend coming up. We're all going to Disney on ice in Everett. It's been a busy fall. Ella is doing great in Kindergarten and she loves going though she is disappointed that she doesn't get to ride the school bus. I think she's kinda gotten over it and she gets to ride the bus on Fridays. Ella is taking swimming lessons on Monday and Friday evenings. Sam misses his sister while she's at school. Sam takes his mom to story time at the library on Wednesdays and he goes to gymnastics on
Thursdays. He's really strong and loves to go.

On May 1, the Gateway Middle School PTSA presented the 2009 awards for Golden Acorn, Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Advocate at an assembly attended by students, parents, teachers and staff.

Outstanding Educator Award recipients were Jason Lunder, Stacy Stephens and Kimberly Demetre, and Outstanding Advocate Award recipient was Mary Donnelly.

The Outstanding Educator Award was created to recognize individuals who have provided outstanding educational opportunities for children and youth that are beyond the normal scope of their jobs. The Outstanding Advocate Award was established by the state PTA in 2004 as a statewide volunteer recognition program to recognize and honor individuals for their advocacy work on behalf of youth. The Golden Acorn Award is presented to volunteers who have given outstanding service to all children in the school community and volunteer service above and beyond a job description. Since the beginning of this Washington State PTA program, more than 44,000 Golden Acorns have been presented to volunteers throughout the state.

Gateway Middle School PTSA has made a contribution in the name of each recipient to the state PTA Financial Grant Program. From these contributions, the state PTA is able to provide grants to freshman students entering post-secondary education.

Ella is back in school and Loving it, She has a new teacher this year and lots of friends Ella is the teachers helper and often is greeted at the door by her classmates in the morning. We have had a buisy but swift transition into the school year and now we are settling in for the cold months ahead. Sam is growing like a a weed and becoming more like his sister everyday. He loves his sister and his mountain of balls in the living room that he plays with and he escpecialy likes to pick up a baseball bat and swing it around! Ella's favorite thing these days is playing outside with all the older neighbor kids, its the joy of living in the cul-de-sac I guess! Sam n Ella are becoming quite the pair they are currently tryling to learn how to get along... but they are having fun chasing eachother around the house and oh yes torturing the dog as well. hmmm well I guess thats it for now we'll see you all soon check back often for new stories and pictures there should be some fun halloween ones coming soon!

I am a soccer girl playing soccer is fun, at least for the first half anyway i get sorta pooped by the end! Well I have practice once a week and 1 game on the weekend and I love to wear my green soccer shorts and my red uniform shirt my team is the Red Jaguars! I am number 11!! My friend Logan is on my team and I play another team with my friend Avery on it! I can not wait until summer I want to go camping with my brother and my dog!! Yay for spring! Sam is on the Go he is crawiling and pulling himself up on everythig and loves to get into the pots and pans and his favorite the DOG FOOD! yuck! we hope to see everyone soon, Happy spring!!!

I love everyone! Sam and Ella are growing sooo fast, Sam is eating solid food now and LOVING it so far so good with no allergies! Ella is Loving school and has started an after school cooking class with her teacher Ms. Katie. Sam is sitting up on his own now and is contemplating crawling, he is not so sure about getting up on those knees. Ella loves her little brother Sam and is always trying to get him to play with her, her favorite thing to play with Sam is Doctor she likes to give Sam a little check up to make sure he's growing up just right. Bbrrrrrrr.... I cant beleive how chilli its getting outside, cloudy and foggy in the morning and sunnyish in the afternoon... must be...... FALL! Well lots of fun fun fun things happening with the Lunders! Sammy boy is rolling over and holding his head up like a super champ and Ella has been driving! thats right driving she has a new favorite toy her jeep, just like Anty Linda's! She wants to ride wether its fall or not so outside we will go! Ella has been learning a lot in school she is currently learning about.... FALL! We hope everyone can stay warm and dry as can be this fall!

I am such a big girl I am just turning 3 and I am starting school! I am soooo excited I got lots og new school clothes and a special backpack! It is going to be sooooo fun to go to school, Mommy says I am going to make a lot of friends and I think that she's right! I am going to be going to school three days a week for 4 hours, all by myself! YEA I am going to learn all sorts of things, this summer at my summer school I learned all about parades and I even got tp be in one! I learned how to draw circles and make cookies out of them! I learned lots and lots! I am on the way to outsmarting Daddy!!! I love being a big sister to Sammy and I can't wait until he is big enough to play!

Wow it has been a while since I have updated my website, I am such a busy girl these days! I am in preschool now and it is soooo much fun I love to learn and play with my friends! I go to school one day a week with my Mommy and I like to paint at school and play with the kids. Things are soo fun at home to because Mommy and Daddy let me play doctor and check them out and my favorite part is checking Mom's Belly to make sure brother is doing good. Mommy is sooo proud of me because I am totaly potty trained, I can count to ten and sing my ABC's and I am working on my colors using my favorite treat SKITTLES! I am looking forward to being a BIG sister and teaching my Brother Sam how to bug Mommy and Daddy by asking WHY? Which is my favorite word right now. well Spring is here and I am sooo excited to play outside, I hope that Mommy will bring her camera and take some more pictures of me because well, we need some!

Wow! The leaves are on the ground and they are so much fun to crunch under my shoe! Now that Daddy is back in school Mommy and me have been doing all sorts of fun things together, we have been going to music class and I get to dance around with all the other little kids we have so much fun learning about BIG sounds and little sounds!!! My other new favorite thing to do is take a picnic to see dirt! (construction sites) I just love to watch all the neat trucks! I make Mommy slow down when we drive by dirt so I can see all the neat stuff! I am talking so much now my Mommy thinks Im soooo funny when I say silly sentinces like "Ella help" which really means Ella wants to do it all by herself. I have still been using the potty though not as much because its so hard when you are such a busy girl. I love to read books before I go bed Mommy and Daddy are glad that I can sit still long enough to read a short book :) Well the fall has been good to me I get to play with my friends a lot! On Wednesdays I like to play with my friend EEE-YEE (Avery) we play soo good together Our favorite thing to play is Babies! On thursdays and Fridays I like to play with Marno (Marlow) and AJ, Marlo and I play while Mommy works with AJ and then when she is all done we all like to do Ring around the rosie! Being two is so much fun. I love to discover new ways to have fun everyday!
