2/1/10....Happy Birthday Jacob!!!  We took Jacob to the Adventure Science Center today.  He had the best time he really loved all the things to see and touch!
He is growing up so fast I can not believe he is 2 years old.  He is becoming more and more independant which sometimes is not a good thing;)  I take him for his 2 year check up on Friday so I will post his progress then.  Please check out his pictures page for new pictures of the Science Center.

Unfortunately due to all the snow over the weekend we were unable to have his birthday party but we will be having it this weekend and he will get to be with his Nana's his Pappaw and his cousins!  I will post pictures of that on Monday!

November 17....Questions in Life???  How did we get from here to here so fast?  It seems like yesterday Gabe and I was on our way home from the hospital.  He is growing up so fast.  We have had a good summer and fall.  We are getting ready for the holidays and we are super excited about Christmas this year!!  Jacob will hopefully be into unwrapping his gifts and we get to play Santa for the first time!!  We are also hosting Christmas this year for Gabe's family and we are really excited about it!  Jacob is doing great he is learning new words daily he is also exploring so much and he  is so curious of how things work.  We hope everyone is doing well and we will be posting about our holiday adventures so stay tuned.

August 18....Ok so I know it has been way too long.  Jacob has been doing so great!  He has not had an ear infection in over 8 months! He did catch Hand Foot and Mouth Disease from daycare 2 weeks ago but other than that he has been in perfect health.  At his last check up (18 months) he weighted 24 pounds and was almost 33 inches long.  His vocabulary is growing day by day and he imitates us often.  He can throw and kick the ball and LOVES to be outside.  I have posted some new pictures so please take a minute to check them out.  We went to the Williamson County Fair over the weekend and he had a blast, we rode the carousel together and even though I thought he might be scared he loved it. Jacob loved seeing all the animals and petting a few of them although the horse made him laugh it scared him when it got to close.   I promise not to wait this long for another update!!

May 4....Jacob had his 15 month check up this afternoon.  He weighs 23.2 and is 32 1/2 inches long.  He has cut a molar up top and I think another is coming in on the bottom.  He is taking about 10 or more steps at a time without help so I would say in about another week we will have a walker!!

March 20....it has been a while since I have posted I know.  It's been fairly quite at the Hall household.  Jacob is taking steps independently every once in a while I'm sure he will be running around before I know it.  Last weekend we went to the Irish Festival in Downtown Franklin and despite the mist in the air we had a good time.  Well that's about all the excitement for know.

February 2....Jacob had his 1 year check up today.  He weighs a little over 20 pounds and is almost 31 inches long!!  He also has a molar coming in on the bottom right and the other is not far behind so this is most likely the reason he wasn't in a good mood at his birthday party.  His pediatrician said he is right on target with everything and that he was doing great.  He got 3 shots:( and will go back at 15 months for another round:(.  He is down to just his bedtime bottle and has started to drink mostly regular milk.  I'm pretty sure he will be walking real soon....I'll keep you posted...

February 1....Happy Birthday Jacob!!  Wow we can hardly believe it's been a year already!!  Jacob had his birthday party on Sunday and it was great.  We were able to celebrate his birthday with family and friends.  Jacob was a little shy and fussy throughout the party but other than that I think he had a good time.  He wasn't sure about his cupcake I think he didn't know what to do with it so he didn't have any of it and he cried when I put his hand in it but I'm sure he will make up for that in the future.  Thanks to everyone for making his birthday a special one!!

January 23....Jacob had his ear tube surgery today.  The procedure went fine.  He was a little groggy afterwards but it didn't take him long to get back to his sweet self.  He is crusing around everywhere and is able to walk with a push toy!!  I am sure he will be off and running before we know it!  He has 8 teeth now 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top.  We are getting ready to celebrate his first birthday on Sunday!!  Check back for post birthday photos.

January 8....We had a great holiday!!  Jacob got lots of great gifts!!  He is doing lots of things to make us think he will be walking soon.  He has another tooth so that makes 6 all together!!

Jacob will be getting tubes in his ears.  We had to make the decision on Christmas eve when we had to take him in for his 6th ear infection.  We have an appointment on Friday to talk to the specialist about the process then I guess we will go ahead and schedule the surgery.  Gabe and I both feel good about everything we know that it's necessary and will definitely be beneficial for him.  Please keep us in your thoughts as we go through the procedure.

December 22....Jacob is growing up so fast!  He is doing great no really big changes he gets more and more personality everyday!  We are so excited to celebrate his first Christmas.  We will make sure we post plenty of pictures!!

December 1.....Jacob is 10 months old today!!  We had a great Thanksgiving holiday!!  He got to see his great grandmother, nana, and papaw again.  I'm trying to introduce new table foods to him as often as possible in order to wean him off baby food and for the most part he is trying what I give him although he still wants to try to cram all of it in his mouth so I have to make sure I don't give him too much at one time!! We are planning on seeing Santa this weekend so I will have to let you know how it goes!!

November 20th.....Quick update - Jacob's other top tooth came in a few days after the first one which is what I was expecting.  He is not crawling yet but he can scoot-or as I like to call it his crab walk -  he can get anywhere he wants to go.  He is so very curious about everything which is fun to watch.  We are getting ready for Turkey Day we will be going to visit his Great Grandmother and his Nana and Papaw.

November 6.....We have another tooth!!  I noticed it this morning it's the top left tooth!!  I'm sure the other one will be in by this weekend!  I will keep you posted!

November 3....Jacob had his 9 month check up today!!  Everything went great!!  He is 29 inches tall which puts him in the 70th percentile!!  He weighs 17 lbs 12 oz.  He had to get his flu shot  but other than that he did great.  He can now scoot pretty much wherever he wants to go so I may give up on him crawling for now he can also sand by himself for a brief time.  We had to lower the mattress over the weekend because he now knows how to sit up in his crib!!!

October 31st.....Happy Halloween!!!  Jacob will be dressing up as Superman tonight!  I will post pictures shortly!  We have had a busy couple of week!!  On 10/25 we went on the Breast Cancer Walk it was lots fun he had such a great time!!  I participate in the walk every year with Wendy and Evan and this year through generous co workers I was able to raise $320.00 for the Breast Cancer Foundation!!

On Monday we will be going for Jacob's 9 month appointment wow right!!  He will be getting a flu shot and will have his finger pricked for an iron check so it won't be that bad.

October 18....We went to Gentry's Pumpkin Patch today and got some really cute pictures!!  We also had our Couples Supper Club tonight and the little ones got to dress up!!  They were all so cute!!  i posted a few pictures of the days events!!  We are doing great I think Jacob is cutting his top teeth so that has been trying at times but I'm sure they will come through soon and we will have our sweet boy back in no time or at least until he cuts more teeth.  Wendy and I will be going on the Breast Cancer Walk this weekend and I am so excited!!  Jacob loves being outside so I'm sure he will love it!!  I will post pictures of the walk and an update next week.

October 1....Jacob is 8 months old today wow how time flies by!!  It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home.

We officially have 2 bottom teeth!!  They ended up coming through at about the same time!  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but still I am not looking forward to the next time.  I am so excited about Jacob's first Halloween!!  After lots of searching on the intranet and in the stores I have decided to make his costume so stay tuned for pictures!!

September 22...Jacob is cutting his first tooth!!  I felt it on Saturday afternoon it's on the bottom right.  He is also holding his bottle by himself through an entire feeding.  He is getting so big so fast.

September 2.....Yes I know I know it has been way to long in between posts.  This month has been filled with all sorts of milestones!!  Jacob has learned to feed himself puffs, he is sitting up really good on his own, and he really wants to go go go!!!  He is also experiencing a little bit of stranger anxiety.  I am starting to feed him little bits of real food like bread, cheese and mashed beans.  He doesn't have any teeth just yet but I can see them coming from the top and the bottom so who knows which ones will come in first.  I promise I will post more about him this month.  Talk to you soon!!

August 1....Jacob is 6 months old today!!!  wow how the time files when your having fun;)  He went for his 6 month check up today he weighs 15.9 which puts him in the 25th percentile and he is 27.25 inches long which puts him in the 75th percentile!!  For those of you that know about the flat spot on his head the doctor saw much improvement and has no worries about development!!  I was shocked to find out that Jacob's 2 front teeth are coming in quicker than his bottom and will most likely cut first which is not totally uncommon but different.  He had to get the same vaccines as he did at 2 and 4 months:( but he did a lot better this time he cried when he was getting them then after I scooped him up it only took about 10 seconds for him to calm down!  At his 9 month appointment he will only get a finger prick Hurray!!  he is starting to sit up on his own with little support although he would rather stand than sit he is getting the jest of it.  He is going to be off and running before we know it!
