Edward "exercising" 8/12/10 - Edward loves to do anything that Eddie is doing; he really looks up to his Daddy. Every day, Eddie does sit-ups & push-ups in the living room, and the other night Edward decided to join in. I'm so glad the camera was nearby to capture his unique workout style! **Edit 9-2-10: He's made some progress in his workout form, see 2nd video!**
Little Bookworm - Edward loves for us to read to him, and he chimes in to "read along" the phrases he's most familiar with. Some of his favorite books right now are: Goodnight Moon, The Going to Bed Book, Millie Cow, Dr. Seuss's ABC Book, Moo Baa La La La, Opposites, There's a Wocket in My Pocket, Mr. Brown Can Moo, Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs, and I Love You, Goodnight. Basically, he's crazy about the Sandra Boynton books and most anything to do with cows, although I think I see a trend/preference starting to develop for books with counting and numbers. :)
Today at the library, a lady asked me how many words Edward can say after she overheard him talking a little bit. My response was "well, I'm not sure, but...a lot!". So, while I have a minute, I thought I'd jot down the ones that come to mind: Mama, Dada, Mimi, Go-day, Nana, Papa, baby, hi, hello, bye, no, yeah, yes, mine, see, apple, applesauce, toast, banana, cheese, spoon, hot, animal, Elmo, Handy Manny, water bottle, octopus, blue, outside, tree, light, fan, slide, swing, up, down, get down, I get down, night-night, ball, soccer ball, bounce, book, choo choo, wow, what's this/that?, shower, towel, bath, car, teeth, elbow, knee, nose, ear, foot, shoes, tickle, chair, various animal noises (moo, quack, roar, meow, arf, etc.), I missed you, and our personal favorite...I low (love) Mama/Dada. I bet I forgot a word or two, but you get the picture. :)
