April 13 2012- We have had a busy couple weeks. We had Uncle Ken and Grandma and Grandpa visit two weeks ago for Adams party. We put up the monkey bars for the swing set and went on an Easter egg hunt and they got to see noah and adams last swimming lessons. This past week for Easter noah had a hunt at school and again at mom mom and papas and ingrids, as well as Aunt joannes!! Let me say Noah was an Easter egg hunting pro by the end of the week! He found eggs faster than i could by the end! He had such a good time!! We have been having a hard time with soccer though. Noah does really well in the drills at practice. He takes great care to have control of the ball so i thought he would do well in the game. However when the game started and the other team scored a goal he face planted in the ground and would not go back in the whole game. sigh. we had a long talk with him but this week we got him a toy to hopefully bribe him to play the whole game. :) I will let you know if it works.
March 24 2012- Noah has been really, and i mean REALLY, into ghostbusters lately. He sings the song everywhere and my mom gave him my old "trap" and ghostbuster backpack which he puts on at least 4 or 5 times a day. He is also doing his second set of swimming this month and next month he is doing soccer. we met the coach today.
Adam is taking swimming lessons with ben now too and the teacher said what a natural adam is at swimming.
We are thinking of signing noah up for tball in may and ben might be the coach :)
March 6 2012- Soo glad we had one nice snow storm this year for the boys to enjoy and go sledding. Adam was pretty cold but noah and ben spent almost two hours outside playing in the snow making snow angels, sleding, making snowmen. When they were all done they came inside for some warm hot chocolate :)
Feb 3 2012- Noah had his annual trip to monster jam this past weekend and went with daddy, ingrid and papa. he had a great time. he talks about how the smoke came out of the monster trucks nose :) I am hoping next year adam is old enough to sit through it.
Adam also loves playing with legos. He can sit for a very long time just building things. Noah likes legos too but they are definitely adams favorite toy. Adam woke up this morning singing "ashes ashes down". He likes that song :)
January 16 2012- Noah went for his 4 year check up the other day and he was 41.5 inches tall for the 75%, and he weighed 37lbs for the 50%. He had a good check up, and they even checked his eyes and hearing to prepare him next year for the kindergarten test! I cant believe we are even talking about that already. Time is going so fast!
Adam has been running really fast. and he has gotten into playing "duck duck goose." In adams world it means running up to someone taping them on the head and saying goose and running away while that person chases him. very cute.
December 25 2011- Today has been really exciting. Noah woke up jumping around with excitement. Adam took a couple minutes to register it all. Once adam figured out there were toys for him under the paper he wasted no time digging in. Noah got exactly what he wanted...work gloves and a hoe to work outside in the yard with daddy. He also got a mobigo and a game, slinky, and some little things. Adam got the imaginext batman castle and some legos, and small other things. Adam got a fever as the day went on so he has not been himself :( . He is still enjoying the day though which is good. He is saying so many words now. He says "duck (truck)" or "gane (train)." Noah was sick a couple days ago but luckily he is all better today. We are very excited to visit family later in the week! Noah got me a moose pillow pet which i love, and love even more how excited he was to give it to me :) . He also got a wii game to play with daddy.
November 28 2011- We have had a busy couple weeks. Noah had his 4th birthday! We had a party for him with his friends. They had a great time. Noah picked out an animal jungle cupcake cake so i went with an animal theme for the party. We played pin the tail on the donkey and musical chairs. I cant believe he is 4 already!
November 1 2011- Noah and Ben took two hours to carve the pumpkin on friday because noah loved playing in the gooey mess. He could have done it longer if it wasnt bed time. Adam was not so amused with the mess.
Trick or treating was lots of fun last night adam had enough after about 2 houses but noah could have gone for a lot longer.
Adam had his check up a couple weeks ago for his 18 months. He is in the 3% for weight and 10-25% for height. Short and small. He is the same height at 18 months that noah was at 15 months.
September 5 2011- We had a great family visit with grandma, grandpa, and uncle ken this past weekend. Friday we had a picnic at the sprayground park which noah loved. He would stand under the bucket again and again as it dumped water on him. Adam was shy with the water. Saturday we went to peaks of otter where you were able to get within feet of deer. So the boys had fun throwing a deer some apples and throwing rocks in the lake. Yesterday we went mini golfing and then for ice cream. We had such a good visit it was sad to see them go this morning. Adam has been saying about 10-15 words now, and can run to keep up with his big brother. Adam can say doggie, uh oh, mommy, daddy, ball, again, and a few more. Noah started preschool last week 3 days a week/3 hours a day. He so far really likes it which is better than last year. Last year i had to drag him to school, but this year he wants to go so far. Hopefully it continues! He really likes his new teacher miss julie, and he is with older 3 year olds so i think it makes a difference.
August 8 2011- Whew it has been busy. Two weeks ago we drove to knoebles for my dads family reunion. It was so wonderful to see everyone we havent seen in so long. We really had a good time. Noah loved watching the haunted house but didnt go in. He still talks about it!! It was a very hot day though!! Adam got an elmo balloon there which made him happy.
Then we went to busch gardens/williamsburg this past weekend. We had such a good time. The weather was wonderful. We had a whole house and backyard to ourselves so the boys could play. It was really nice not having to worry about waking someone up (other than family). if the boys were loud. Noah loved the water park. He could have stayed all day! Although adam got scared of the water slides!! Busch gardens was fun too, we even ran into our friends Alexis and Todd with thier kids there!! Everything would have been perfect if we didnt have salmonella from the turkey recall though. Luckily noah never ate it so he was fine. Adam ate a little and got a little sick, not as bad as ben and I though.
July 9 2011- Adam has been talking more he says "ba" for ball, but his favorite is "uh-oh." My dad taught him to say tree yesterday (dee). Noah took swimming lessons the past 2 weeks and really learned a lot. Now he is not scared to jump in the pool and can swim really well with a float belt. Before he would just hang on the edge. Ingrid came to visit this past week and we all had a really nice visit. we are really sad to see her go!
May 31 2011- We just got back from a wonderful visit with family! We went to the pittsburgh zoo. Noah and Adam had a blast. Adam liked it so much he didn't fall asleep for his usual afternoon nap. He was so busy looking at everything. It rained for a little while we were there which made nice puddles for noah to splash in too! :) Noahs favorite animals i think were the sea lions and a big snake that was moving around. It scared me though! We also had a nice time seeing great-grandma and great-grandpa. We also went swimming saturday night and the boys had so much fun! Noah went down the huge water slide almost 10 times by himself, and adam took a while to warm up to the pool but then he started splashing and had a good time. Adam says the word "uh oh" now. I hear it quite often too :).
May 8 2011- Today is mothers day and I must say I feel so blessed to have such wonderful boys. Noah made me a magnet flower and a handprint at school.
Noah has also been playing obstacle course around the living room lately and its cute because he calls it "hospital course." :) Noah will be going to school twice this week for regular class and the end of the year picnic.
April 24 2011- Today the Easter bunny visited out house and left some small toys, a sippy cup for each, silly straws, and a little candy for noah, and a soft cookie for adam. The boys were so cute in their easter outfits. I will post pictures of those soon. We went to see the imagination movers last week and i don't think noah was ever so excited. After 5 months of waiting the day finally came and he just loved it. He sat through the whole show and has had "shows" all week reinacting the concert. So cute! We also went to a transportation museum in roanoke on friday since Ben had off and it had soo many trains. Trains that were even over a 100 years old. They also had passenger cars you could walk through we had a good time. After the museum we went to Chuck E Cheese. Noah loved it. So did Adam. They enjoyed watching the show more than the games at this age though.
April 7 2011- Adam had his first birthday. We had a wonderful party with family and friends. Adam ate all his cupcake :) . It seemed to be a second birthday for the year for noah. He enjoyed all the toys and presents very much. Grandma, grandpa, and uncle ken made the party too!!
March 14 2011- Adam is taking lots of steps now. He is really enjoying walking. He takes a couple steps and then looks around to see if anyone saw him and gets all excited! So cute!
February 27 2011- Today Noah and Ben bought a kite and tried flying it. They had a great time, and it was a lot of fun for me to watch. We had wished there would be more wind since rain was predicted but there wasn't too much wind. We also had a wonderful visit from Uncle Ken two weeks ago and we visited amazement square and I think Ben and Ken had just as much fun as Noah and Adam :)
