Kiddo's Stats Update! Daddy took the kids for there 3yr and 18mo check ups... Both kids are perfectly healthy and on track or exceeding our doctors expectations! They got all there due immunization shots as well as there flu shots... I'm so lucky shots have never bothered either of them, Daddy said they were really good the whole time and so excited about having a scooby doo bandaid to even notice they got shots!

Makenna is 28.5lbs and is 32 1/2 inches tall:

Length = between percentile 50 and 75
Weight = between percentile 90 and 95

Raiden is 38lbs and 40 inches tall:

Length = between percentile 90 and 95
Weight = between percentile 90 and 95

October 10 th 2008

I know it's been an insanely long time since I actually wrote a REAL story... What can I say, we've had some really great times and some really hard times over the past few months and I just have not wanted to write. I feel like whatever creative writing skills I ever had are gone, I just sit here in front of the screen with my hands on the keyboard like... DDDUUUHHH! So I just wanted to write about the 2 things in our lives that keep us going strong, Rizzie and Nennaboo!

RAIDEN: We celebrated is 3 rd Birthday on September 19 th... WOW it blows my mind how fast these past three years have flown by! I didn't plan any big parties this year and with the way things have been, I am SO glad that I didn't.   We decided to take Raiden to the family fun center, just the 4 of us and had a GREAT time! Rizzie got to go on the bumper cars and bumper boats with Daddy, played all kinds of games, had pizza and candy... it was so much fun just being the 4 of us. The next day was cousin Alex's 3 rd birthday, we had just the family over to celebrate Raiden and Alex's birthday together. We let the kids decorate there own homemade birthday cakes, and of course opened prezzies... it was a low key but very fun birthday for both the boys.

He is doing so good, he learns so much every single day I don't even know where to begin..... He loves to sing songs, count EVERYTHING, talk and talk and talk about absolutely everything, he is such a conversationalist... Yesterday he looked at my phone and saw a picture of himself drinking some lemonade in our trailer, then went on to tell me what he did with Daddy that day over a month ago, EVERY DETAIL... 'Me and Daddy went camping in the trailer, and saw all the animals at the zoo and played with our nerf shooters, and Mommy and Nennaboo stayed home and played, and on and on and on... BLOWS MY MIND that he can remember everything from that camping trip with just Daddy and can tell me all about it. I would like to say he is fully potty trained, but he has #2 issues we just can't get past. He goes pee on the potty all day long, in public and even gets up a few times a night now just to go... but when it comes to #2, he is simply refusing... I'm not sure what happened because a few months ago we would go poo on the potty, but for some reason he just won't go on it now, sooo pretty much I clean poo out of his underoos every single day or night... If ANYONE has any good tips on how to get him to poo on the potty, please pass them along!

Rizzie is so funny at bed time, we have a nightly routine that takes a LONG TIME... After going potty and brushing his teeth, we pick up his room and get settled in... than we do rock locks (secret handshake!). knuckles, high fives, hand shakes (he always says 'nice to meet you sir'), hugs, then kisses... than of course all in one long sentence very single night we hear, 'I love you Mommy, I love you Daddy... Mommy you're so beautiful, and Daddy you're so handsome, and Nennaboo is a beautiful girl... Sweet dreams, GOOD NIGHT!' and he says it ummmm probably 5 times in a row, and we continue to reply 'We love you too Raiden, Thank you Raiden, Good Night Raiden', over and over and over... LOL it's so cute!!!

MAKENNA: Officially 18 Months... What can I say, She is just too sweet for words. This little girl is a pure joy, and a tough little cookie. She can fall flat on her face, get right up and keep running (Rizz on the other hand would need to be consoled!) She is a chatter box, and already talking in sentences! She can repeat pretty much any word that you ask her too, but she isn't really a fan of talking on demand, she does things on her own time.... She loves to play by herself with her baby dolls, she is sooo easily pleased... and OMG loves her crib and loves going to bed and nap time, GO FIGURE! She loves her room and crib so much I thought she might be ready for a big girl bed, so we converted her bed to a toddler bed a few weeks ago... she and Rizz had fun playing and jumping on it, but when it came time for bed she freaked out and DID NOT like it... after about 20 minutes of screaming bloody murder, we put the rail up, and she just looked at us and side 'Night Night'.  She really is just the sweetest little girl!

Raiden's 3 year and Makenna's 18 month check ups are scheduled for this afternoon, I'll update later with all those details!

Other Stuff:   We had so much fun in the beginning of this summer... Of course you all saw that I had the pleasure of being in my best friends wedding. Laura and Mika were married on July 19, and OMG the wedding was so beautiful and SOOO much fun, we had fun all summer planning everything for the wedding, and it turned out so perfect. Everyone had such a great time... We also had fun doing all kinds of family outings, camping, being with all the friends and family that we love... it was a great summer... up until the end.

On Sept 4 th we lost one of our dearest friends, Steven lost his life at work in a construction accident, we were all there at the hospital when he past, it was by far the hardest day of my life, to watch someone we love so much pass away. I have had a really hard time writing about him, it's been a hard month for everyone. Losing Steven has really make me think a lot, he has made me realize all that I have, all that I've lost, and all that I've taken for granted. Every day is a blessing, I am so grateful to have so many wonderful people in my life.

We love you and miss you so much Steven, nothing will ever be the same without you. Rest in peace my friend.

3/27/08 - Just wanted to say HELLO!!! I'm a little late but I still wanted to say that Makenna is officially running around like a wild child... Truly she starting taking 5 steps at a time right after turning 10 months, than she got lazy and stayed at 5 steps for almost a month... At 11 months she really became confident and starting taking 8-10 steps... after that it was history, she's been fully walking for weeks and now running, it's so CUTE! She has the cutest little walk ever, she always hold her hands up high and often walks kinda sideways :o)

I have so many cute video's of Makenna walking around but the files are .mov files and I can't edit them in movie maker or upload UGHHHH... They are so adorable, I'm trying to figure that out! Her first Birthday is only 6 days away!!!

Ooooh Kenna kisses are THE BEST! She loves to give wet slobbery open mouth ones... which is only acceptable from an adorable little girl like herself!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Terresa

3/19/08- Okay seriously, I am WAY behind on my stories! So I'm just gonna do a little (or big) recap of what's been going on with our humble little family!

First of all I'd like to thank everyone that responded to my diaper rash crisis :o) Everyone has been waiting so patiently for an update... I'm happy to say that Makenna's diaper rash was gone after 24hrs of trying a few of the things my dear BHP friends suggested...I got so many tips I just tried the first couple that I got... I bought some of the Mr. Smiths diaper rash cream which I'd never even seen before... with the combination of Aveeno oatmeal baths, Mr. Smith's cream, and a little Vaseline Makenna's diaper rash went away over night, it was a huge relief! I've saved everyone responses so that I can refer back in the future, so thanks again everyone!

Raiden is officially 2 ½ today!!!! My little man is doing very well, he's starting to speak in full sentences now and his words are becoming much clearer these days, very exciting! We are also working on the potty training thing, I had planned to do the 3 day potty training in mid February, but when it came time, Rizz WOULD NOT let me put his underoo's on him! He's warmed up to the idea over the past few weeks and we now I put his undies on him a few hours every day... first accident was yesterday and he really did not like the pee going down his legs, so I think that'll help hehe... So that's our main focus with Rizzie Dizzie right now!

Only 2 weeks until Ms. Makenna's 1 st birthday Woo Hoo!!! This little girl is SUCH a character, she is hilarious! She has really getting good at walking these days, we are passed counting steps now, she can walk pretty much anywhere and when she falls down she gets right back up... it's when she gets excited and tries going fast when she starts tripping over her own feet HAHA. She's also waving and says 'bye bye' when she feels like it, and she says Mama, Dada, Baba as well... She LOVES to dance and get her groove on, more like a wiggle side to side, it's so cute! This past week she's started throwing little fits, I try not to laugh but it's really cute to see her get all upset over something.. Rizz has to watch out now cause this little spit fire isn't gonna put up with him taking toys away for much longer, the girls got a set of lungs and she's not afraid to use them!

I decided not to plan a big party this year, just our family and close friends. I remember Raiden's first party was really overwhelming for him at the time, he took 2 naps during his party and crashed out the second it was over, so I think we are going to save Makenna's first BIG BASH for her 2 nd birthday.

Chris and I got to escape from our little boogers for the first time a few weekends back and we had an AMAZING time. It was the first time that I have ever left the kids over night so it was difficult at first, it would have been much easier if Rizz wasn't sick, but they still had a good time with Grandma and Grandpa. Chris and I went to Mt. Rainer and rented a secluded little cabin up in the mountains, it was AWESOME... We basically hung out in our hot tub and enjoyed each others company... we also went on a couple hikes and tried out snow shoeing as well, it was a lot easier than it looked! It was a nice little getaway for us, we're ready for another one already!

That's the scoop for now... Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter this Sunday!

2/27/08- I need HELP!!! Kenna has a horrible diaper rash. Yesterday we put her down for a nap and she must have poo'd right when she went down cause when she got up 2 hours later she was full of POO and a horrible red diaper rash. I've tried all the creams, and Aveno Oatmeal baths but it wont go away. Does anyone have any good diaper rash treatments? It doesn't seem to bother her too much but it looks horrible... This is the first weekend Chris and I are getting away and my parents are watching the kids, I really do not want Kenna to show up with this horrible diaper rash. Any ideas would be SO appreciated!

Another Aveno Oatmeal bath for tonight, and I'll let her air dry for as long as possible. Oooh poor baby!

Thanks, T

2/25/08 - TWO Short stories in one day, GO ME! I just had to write... Makenna just took 4 STEPS all by herself! She has been standing unattended for a few weeks now but only taken one step every so often, I think she'll be walking soon, SO CUTE!

Okay, Gotta go play!

T

2/25/08- Just wanted to share a message I recieved on my messanger today from Erin... I thought it was so cute!

ERIN says: You There?

ERIN says: I was letting the kids play a little while longer before going down for ther naps, but Raiden is so in routine, I was looking for him to put him down for a nap, then I go in his room, hes in bed, with his covers on ASLEEP!!! Hes such a good boy!!

2/2/08- What a rough 24 hrs. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled yesterday afternoon. Chris and Raiden both had a stomach virus on Thurs (2 days ago) and we thought it had passed and Kenna and I escaped. Nope I was wrong, both my babies have been up all night throwing up (mostly stomach acids cause they didn't each much yesterday). I feel so bad for them, here I am with a swollen face feeling pretty roughed up, but that is the least of my worries. I really wanted to let Chris sleep since he had been sick and just stressed from his very busy schedule lately. I don't think I've jumped out of bed and sprinted down the hallway more times in one night ever... I think the hardest thing about being a Mom is have sick kids, it's so hard to watch when there's not much you can do but show them you are there and love them.

This is really the first time Kenna's been sick and she's been so sweet all night, she'll get sick... look up at me with tears in her eyes and smile and lay her head on my chest, what a sweetie she is even in not so happy times. Ohhh and Raiden, That little boy just melts my heart, same kinda thing, I sprint in to his room and comfort him (and of course try to cover everything with towels) after it's all over he just looks and me and says 'Thank You Mama, I love you'. They both just warm my heart, they are my world.

The whole molar tooth experience started out very painful because I had a cavity one where my toothbrush can't reach, I had it filled once when I was pregnant. It really starting throbbing again last week so I went in and my dentist tried to pull it out, ugh that SUCKED. It just kept cracking and crumbling, so he had to leave half of it in there all broken up, and put some kind of numbing medicine at the roots so that I couldn't feel pain until my appt to have them removed. Yesterdeay was a breeze to say the least, I was talking to the surgeon one sec, the next thing I knew I was awake, felt like I just blinked. I took my friend Erins advice and ate a Wendy's Frosty, she did that and said she barely swelled... and I must say I think it helped a lot. Besides some pressure and lots of blood (gross I know!) I am feeling pretty darn good, of course I am all dopped up on pain meds.

Rizz is calling. Gotta Go.

1/24/08 - Just wanted to say HI.... I haven't been in much of a 'story writing' mood these days... but all the new pix will fill ya in on all the Johnsons happenings... Enjoy and I'll write more soon!

Take Care, T

1/14/08 - Dangit... Seahawks got creamed this weekend... maybe next year :o) That background didn't last long HAHA... now to find time to make another....

Hope everyone has a great day!

Terresa

MAKENNA At 9 months:

your child is 21lbs 12oz pounds, and that is
at the 85th percentile for weight.

your child is 27.25 inches, and that is
at the 31th percentile for height.

your child has a head circumference of 18 inches, and that is
at the 88th percentile for head circumference.

12/26/07 - I sure hope that everyone had as GREAT of a Christmas as we did! I'm sorry I didn't make it around to all of my BHP friends website, I made a point to keep the pc turned off during my 4 days off for Christmas. This holiday was absolutely perfect, both Raiden and Makenna were so sweet and just a joy to be around... it truly is so special to see Christmas through the eyes of a child.... I'll write more about Christmas later... but I had to let someone know that today is BABY DAY!!! My best friend Laura is 6 days over due, and because of her gestational diabetes her doctor says today is the day, Ms. Sinikka is on her way! Laura was admitted to the hospital a few hours ago. When she got there she was still 1cm as she has been for a couple of weeks now... I cannot wait to meet Makenna's bestfriend Sinikka!

I'll write more later, back to work for now!

Terresa

12/20/07 - 5 Days Til' Christmas Woo Hoo, I am so excited for Christmas this year! Chris and I had the BEST night with the kiddo's last night... we love coming home to our happy little family. Both Rizz and Kenna were balls of energy and laughter last night. Rizz was being so silly, dancing and singing twinkle twinkle little star... we took a long long bath until we were all pruney.... Rizz has really been interested in his potty lately but I didn't want to be pushy if he wasn't ready yet... he's constantly asking to go in to the bathroom, he pulls down his pants and takes off his diapers, than he just sits on his potty and make the 'sssssss'... Last night was different... He sat down and just sang for a while, Daddy had to go peepee too, the second Daddy started to pee ( I KNOW TMI but I have to tell it has it happened!) Rizzie started to go potty too!!!! We were all so excited, Rizz was clapping and I of course was nearly in tears over the first dropple of pee in the potty - GO RIZZIE!!

Makenna is such a little speed demon these days, she is so funny, I call her my Lil' Spider! She'll be looking around kneeled down on all 4's, being super quiet and not moving an inch... the second she spots something she's wants (i.e. Rizz's eggo he left on the floor) she's like a bolt of lightly, as fast as I blink she run crawls across the floor and snatches whatever she's after, It's HILARIOUS! She's also mastered pulling herself up on to anything and she's even started walking along the couch!

Today is my best friends due date... and still NO BABY GIRL, her belly looks like it's about to POP, literally! I know that Laura is so ready for Sinikka to get here, I cannot wait to share the news with everyone... soon soon soon! Sorry BHP friends, she has no website, but I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures to post soon, she and Makenna will be best buds, how exciting!

That's all for now... Only a few more odds and ends to pick up for Christmas, other than that we're ready!

~ Random Thoughts Of The Day ~

December 10, 2007

- All of the sudden Rizz has decided to be a very picky eater, I don't know what happened, he use to eat whatever I put in front of him! If he were the boss, he'd eat 4 eggos, 2 yogurts, and 5 apples a day... that's it! Ooooh and tons of water, this kid drinks A LOT of water! Funny thing is he still eats whatever Erin puts in front of him... for example, PBJ Sandwiches, he eats them all the time when Erin makes them, but when I make them he just pushs the plate away... just like everything else, what is up with that?!?!?!

- Rizz is talking up a storm! His words still are not very clear but we understand everything he's saying... anyone that doesn't know Rizz lingo... has to ask us 'WHAT is he saying?!'. I worry about his words not being very formed but it seems as time goes by the clearer they get, I might bring it up to his pedi just to get her opinion though. Examples... Thank you is 'Tantu', Please is 'peez', ext... he is so polite, he says please and thank you ALL the time, even when I open the gate to the kitchen he says 'Tantu Mama', I LOVE IT!! He called Makenna 'Nenna' so we've been calling her that too lately.

- We took the kids to see Santa last week and surprisingly enough they BOTH loved him! Makenna just starred the whole time, and Rizzie was so cheesy, just kept pointing and screaming 'Santa Santa', I've been prepping him all week watching all the classic Christmas cartoons, he is so much more in to Christmas.

- Rizz is IN LOVE with our Christmas tree... always moving around the ornaments, he loves pointing at the lights to tell me what color they all are... he's getting really good at knowing his colors thanks to our TREE! I need to start working on numbers and the alphabet with him now... oh and there's that scary thing called potty training HAHA... I purchased an ebook for potty training in 3 days and I plan to stick to this method in hopes that it works, I've heard GREAT things about it so we'll see. I'm thinking of trying in a couple of months after things calm down from the holiday season, 2 ½ is a good age I think.

- Makenna is 8 months old now, she is getting so big! I don't know exactly what she weighs right now but I'm guessing she's about 20lbs... we'll see at her 9 mo wellness check up. He is crawling around and getting in to absolutely everything, she's pulling up on everything, she does a whole lot of baby talking, both MAMAMAMA and DADADADA, but I don't think she knows yet what she's saying, I think it's mostly just sounds. She's still fascinated with Rizz, the moment he just looks her way she gets the BIGGEST smile on her face, he plays rough with her, and I always get nervous but she loves it so much, something that I would guess would be squishing her or hurting her she just cracks up at.... Definitely not fragile these days.

- We went and got family pictures done this past weekend! I seriously do now know how some people do it ALL the time with little kiddos, it's so stressful and I always leave those places all hot & sweaty. We made our appt for 8:20am... I wanted to get up and get it done! We got there on time but the photographer was running late so we had to wait a half our, finally the girl at the first desk called her boss and got the okay to take pictures for us... which I was really happy about because she was a really nice girl and she loved the kids... the 'photographer' that came in was a grumpy pissy lady, so we lucked out... Soooo we did family pictures first while everyone was in a good mood. We got 2 pictures taken, than Rizz decided he WAS NOT havin' it... the kid started having a complete melt down, throwing himself on the ground, you know how it goes... So Chris took him out for a little walk while we got some pictures of Makenna, she was SO SWEET during the while shoot!! So we got some good family pictures and a bunch of pictures of Ms. Makenna... maybe some other time several months down the road we'll try again, not anytime soon though :o)

- Christmas seems extra special this year, maybe it's because I have two babies now and Rizz is really getting in to it, but we've had a lot of fun shopping, putting up the tree, shopping more, visiting Santa, decorating, did I mention shopping? We're going to a Christmas light show this week and we're really looking forward to that as well. I really want to go downtown, Seattle is so beautiful with all the lights and the big tree, I just love it!

- I've really been enjoying my new camera but I still have NO IDEA how to use most of the settings. I'm gonna check in to classes at Kits (like Rits Camera), Julie (Torresluna) seemed to really enjoy it and it sounds like she learned a lot!

- I LOVE BABIES! Congrats to the Torresluna Family on the birth of there precious baby girl Ava Claire, she is so gorgeous! I received a call last night from my Dad, one of my cousins is having a baby girl, she's due in January but little baby Cloe has other plans, she's coming now, best of luck to Corey and Kim! One of my very best friends Laura is due with her first baby in just 10 DAYS... I am so excited, Makenna will have a buddy to hang out with when we all go camping for years to come! What is up with all these baby girls? I swear everyone I know is having girls (Kimi and Brad, YAY for girls!)...

That's all for now.... Hope everyone has a great week!

Terresa

11/30/07 - WOW already the last day on November!!! I don't have long but wanted to recap the last couple of weeks before I forget the details... I'm sure this will be a rambling story so bare with me HAHA... We've been on the run and having lots of fun! I took all of last week (Thanksgiving week) off of work, I really looked forward to having 9 days off to be with my family... It was a busy week but so much fun. Thanksgiving was absolutely perfect, Chris says it was probably the best one we've ever had! It decided last minute to just stay home and have Thanksgiving just the 4 of us, it was so relaxing, we stayed home all day, cooked dinner in our pajamas, and just hung out with the kids all day, it was perfect! MAKENNA GOT HER FIRST TOOTH ON THANKSGIVING, YAY... now she has the two middle bottom teeth, I was kind of surprise to see them because she's been so happy... I AM NOT COMPLAINING!

The day after Thanksgiving we packed up the family and headed down to Ocean Shores, WA... we LOVE it down there, Chris and I use to go every couple of months before we had babies... This trip we went with Chris's parents for clam digging... I'm not a clam eater but clam digging is actually a lot of fun. We stayed in an older hotel but it was really nice and clean, Rizz loved the indoor pool! I of course played a lot with my new camera which I LOVE by the way :o)

Rizz hasn't been feeling good at all this week... His 2 year molars are coming in, he's had high fevers, won't eat, and he's just not his happy normal self.... He's lost 4lbs in the past couple of weeks... he's so skinny!!! Down from 36lbs to 32lbs, AAAAHHH I need to chunk up my skinny boy... the kid needs a haircut in a serious kind of way too... maybe this weekend.

Chris and I (along with some good friends) went to see DANE COOK live... OMG it was so much fun, I love that man! Tonight we're going to my holiday party so that should be a good time as well... I plan on decorating this weekend, maybe do some shopping (haven't even started!!), and enjoy my babies (and hubby too!)... Gotta run for now, hope everyone has a great weekend!

11/12/07 - Hello Friends, I felt like a horrible Mommy last week! Rizz was being a grump, he started to throw a fit because I wouldn't let him through the kitchen gate, I grabbed his arms to lift him up and at that moment he dropped his feet from underneath him, I felt a little POP... OMGoodness I knew I popped his arm out of the socket right away, I let go of his arms and his left arm was complete limp and he was freakin' out... as I was as well! Luckily Erin was still over getting ready to leave and neither of us knew what to do... I called his doctor and they told me to bring him in right away. Erin was nice enough to stay and hang out with Makenna... Off we went to the doctors, she took us right back and within seconds she popped his arm back into place... She reassured me that this happens all the time and don't feel guilty, but of course I did! At least now I know how to pop it back in if it ever happens again! While I was there I got his flu shot out of the way... It was a rough visit for Rizz, he was a good boy though so I caved and let him have the sucker the doctor gave to him... everything was sticky by the time we got home.

How is our sweet Makenna?  Every month I say this, but I CANNOT believe she is already 7 months old! She's getting better at crawling, now going forward instead of just backwards, YAY! She's also become a real chatter box, she is constantly babbling! Other than that she's just being her happy cute little self :o) Oooh and we've make the switch to her crib which I think has been harder on me than anyone else, I just LOVED having her (and Rizz too!) sleeping next to me in the bassinette, I'll get use to it I'm sure, but I sure do miss her at night!

We took Rizz to see 'Go Deigo Go' on Saturday and he LOVED every minute of it! My Mom stayed at our house and watched Makenna for us so that Chris and I could have some special time with Rizzie... John and Erin brought Megan along as well, we all had a GREAT time. It was so much fun watching the excitement on his face, I don't think he took his eyes of the stage for even a second... He was so into the show, I of course couldn't take my eyes of Raiden, Chris and I both had so much fun just watching his facial expression during the show, I think I was in tears half of the time, he really melts me. I took some pictures but not many, my old camera is on the fritz and I'm waiting for my new one to show up in the mail any day now, Woo Hoo!

That's all for now... Just working and enjoying my family, I took Thanksgiving week off work and I'm really looking forward to 9 full days with my family!

10/31/07- HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Thanks to everyone who's signed the guestbook, I'm gonna do my best to get back to everyone... in case I don't, be safe and have fun, I love seeing all my favorite BHP kids all dressed up, it'll be fun to see all the pictures! It's gonna be a fun night... We are heading to a Trunk or Treat with my sister and nephews which is what we did last year and it was pretty darn cool, so we're really looking forward to it. Rizzie is a little pirate and Makenna has a cute little fairy costume, but it's not very warm so she's gonna wear her little Halloween jammies when we go out, with her matching orange binky and hairbow of course!

I didn't find time to right about it, but as you all have seen, Rizz came down with the Hand-Food-Mouth Virus a couple of weeks ago, which I had never even heard of up until he got it, we were at the ER all day on Sunday 10/14... it looked absolutely horrible but it didn't seem to bring him down too much. It's highly contagious and I have NO idea how he could have gotten it, somehow Makenna didn't get it which really surprised me since he was kissing and slobbering all over her up until we noticed it... Thank Goodness! Other than that Rizz has been good, he's such a little sponge, soaks in every little thing...  Diego is coming to town next weekend and Erin and I plan on taking the kids to the show, I bet he is going to love it, I can't wait to see his face light up, I'll be sure to take pictures!

Makenna is such a sweetie... She is practicing her crawling and it's pretty darn funny right now, she gets up on all fours and than starts to hump the floor HAHAHAHA okay not really but it looks like it... she tries hard but mostly she ends up going backwards, than gets tired of trying so she plops down and rolls across the room to get whatever she's after... I really need to get a video of her 'humping' action, it's hilarious! She loves standing up holding on to things and she babbles a lot these days, just yesterday she started saying DADADADADADA over and over again, not really saying Daddy, but it's a new sound for her so she's been saying it non stop LOL...

So when do infants sleep through the night and toddlers wake up 3 times a night? What is Rizzie's deal? Makenna goes to sleep every single night at 8pm, and she does not wake up until 7am... 11 HOURS STRAIGHT!!! Raiden on the other hand has decided he doesn't like sleeping through the night, he still goes to be just fine at 8pm but he wakes up crying 3 or 4 times... so we go in his room, lay with him, cuddle with him, give him a sippy cup, change his diaper... I just don't get it, it's been a couple of weeks now and it's really wearing on me, having to get up at 4:30am is hard enough! Maybe he's having nightmares, or he's just uncomfortable... I don't know, but if anyone has any suggestions please pass them along to me, I need him to SLEEP! Makenna is such a hard sleeper, Rizz will come in our room screaming his head off and she'll just snooze away...

Chris and I went to a Halloween dress up party last Saturday night with John and Erin... It was fun, but I wasn't very comfortable in my little geisha girl costume, so that kinda stunk, Chris went as a hill billy... he looked absolutely hideous HAHA I still have to upload those pictures but I'll be sure to post them soon!

Just wanted to say HI and Happy Halloween... Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe evening!

In Loving Memory

A Little Star In Heaven

10/8- Soooo sorry for the delay! Gosh I wish I could keep up with all you BHP Mama's, I really do not know how you all do it! Ooooh let's go way back... Rizzie's party was a HUGE success... We had about 60 people over, tons of little kids running and bouncing around, I think everyone had a great time, at least it seemed that way. Everyone was so generous, Rizzie now has more toys than I know what to do with (as if he didn't already?)... I still have tons of Thank You cards to send out... another thing on my To Do list! It was so nice to see everyone, lots of people we haven't seen for a long time, only problem is I didn't get a lot of 'visiting' time cause I was so busy running around... but non the less it was great to see everyone. So many people helped me out with his party, my good friend Bridgette loves to cook so she slaved away in the kitchen making baked spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and special macaroni pasta for the kids... Ooooh it was all SOOOO good, I don't know what I would have done without her! Our friends William and Janica let us borrow there big canopies and a table which came in handy big time, made everything look so nice! The inflatable bouncy was a big hit, all of the kids and parents had soooo much fun, Chris and I did as well! Ugh, All my birthday pictures came out a little fussy, I had my camera on a weird setting and I didn't figure out how to reset it until after the party was over.... but I posted the ones that I did get and of course all our friends sent me pictures as well.

What's up with Rizzie?

What a huge personality this little boy has... he is such a sweetie! He is talking up a storm these days.... he can repeat pretty much anything I ask him to, and he's now putting a few words together but no long sentences just yet... some of his words only we can understand but they continue to get clearer every day. He is obsessed with Makenna, he calls her 'My Baby'... This passed weekend we visited my parents... when it was time to leave I pretended like we were leaving without the baby... Rizz freaked out, grabbing her hands saying 'My Baby... go bye bye', he refused to leave without her! Earlier that day.... I had made Makenna a bottle in the morning because I knew should would be waking up soon... I put the bottle in the living room and went back in to the kitchen to finish up the dishes... I realized Rizz was being really quiet so I went looking for him... Found him next to Makenna's bassinet, with her diaper and wipes in one hand, and holding her bottle in her mouth with his other hand.... OMG it was so cute! I looked at her, she's got the bottle in her mouth with a big'o smile on her face... PRICELESS! What a little helper he is... he is constantly talking and playing with her, he loves to dance with her and show her how toys work... it's just too darn cute, I am amazed at how good he treats her!

What's up with Makenna?

How lucky am I to be blessed with two amazing kids? She is just a bundle of love, always happy and smiling and laughing... She is a master roller these days, rolls across the living room to get what ever she's after. She's been sitting up since 4 1/2 months so she's very good at it now, she can also move from the sitting position and get down on her belly to roll around. I think she'll be crawling here pretty soon as well, she gets up on all fours and sways back and forth... she tries the army crawl but doesn't get very far with that... not long though before she's crawling! She is obsessed with her brother, she loves him to pieces and watches every single move he makes... and of course he loves that!

Both the kids are growing perfectly. I took them both in on Friday for there 2 year and 6 month wellness check ups. Rizzie is now 33.5lbs and 36.5 inches tall... both between the 90th-95th percentile, so he's still a big boy like always, I'm sure he'll be built just like his Daddy! Ms. Makenna has really chunked up since we started her on formula, she is now up to 17lbs 13.5oz and she's 26 inches long, which is 50th percentile in length and 75th for weight... Her pediatrician was very impressed with her eye/hand coordination and sitting skills, she said Makenna is sitting up and coordinating better that most 6 month old she see's, so that's good news!

I have much more to write about but I figure this is a good start :o)

10/1 - Hey Mama's... New story (novel!) will be posted shortly... for the time being... I wanted to share an awesome website to get hairbows from... all of Makenna's newest bows came from Shaybugs Bowtique... The are AWESOME bows, click on the link below! If you order any please mention that you heard of them from me... so that I can get some free bows for Kenna :o)

9/18/07- Oh My Goodness my baby boy is gonna be TWO YEARS OLD tomorrow **Tears** Seriously, I start thinkin' about it and my eyes get all watery... Ooooh I love my Rizzie more than I can even explain, what an amazing little boy he is.

I have tons of new pictures to post, I just got a new pc yesterday so I'm hoping to get some time to play around with it tonight!

I'll write tomorrow for sure!

Proud Mama, Terresa

9/6/07 - Hey BHP Mama's! First off I wanna say THANKS to Tina (bhp/babywiggins)for making Rizzie's birthday background, isn't it SUPER cute? Tina's been learning so much with PSP and we've had fun playing with it together... You are a true friend Tina, thank you so much!

As you all know The Singh family (bhp/ahrenjudekarransingh)welcomed there baby girl Aryanne to the world last week... I had SO much fun updating there website! Now I'm working on Aryanne's birth annoucement, but I'm kinda stuck and I'm looking for some creative opinions... and I know many of you are so creative!

Here's what I've got so far... I think it's cute but maybe lacking something... What do you all think? Anything I can change/add to make it better? Awww, isn't she just so precious? I wish I could hold her!

9/4/07- Makenna turned 5 months old yesterday, WOW!!!! Oh she is such a little character these days let me tell you! She is such a smart baby, now sitting up all by herself very well, holding her own bottles (when she wants too!), flashes a HUGE smile and a chuckle every time you even look her way! She is a people person kinda baby, loves new faces and LOVES behind held by anyone that is willing to hold her! These days are so much easier with Makenna, no more reflux and now that she is eating PRUNES no more constipation, YAY! The first few months were a real struggle, but I am so happy she's feeling better and now as happy as can be!

My lil' man is going to be 2 years old in just a couple weeks, sooooo hard for me to believe! He's very in to doing everything for himself... feeding, putting his dishes away, getting his own sippy and snacks, dressing himself (tries to at least!), brushing his own teeth. He's talking soooo much these days and every day now he's saying new words and putting more and more words together to form sentences, I need to update his vocabulary list on the front page cause it's grown so much!

Makenna and Raiden are equally obsessed with one another and it's the cutest thing to witness. Now that Kenna is so much more interactive... sitting up, playing with toys, smiling, laughing, looking when you talk to her... Rizzie is in HEAVEN!! Last night Rizzie made me hold up Kenna so he could grab her hands and dance around with her... he was singing and laughing and she had the biggest smile on her face! He loves to play peek-a-boo with her now too, he covers his eyes and gets really close to her face and says 'PEEK A BOO'... at first it kinda startles Kenna but than she starts crackin' up, it's so funny! He is constantly looking for the baby, giving her kisses, telling us to 'SHHH Baby go night night' when she is a sleep, he shows her how toys work, and talks to her in his 'baby' voice... I've always heard that 2nd babies learn faster because they have older sibling to show them how it's done... and I can see now how that is so true!

We had a really nice relaxing 3 day weekend... really just chilled at home with the kids... I miss those lazy days during my maternity leave of just staying in my pajamas all day and playing with my babies, I feel so lucky to have had 4 months off to spend with them, I'll cherish those months forever!

OOOOH, I wasn't planning on having a big party for Rizzie this year but for some reason I got a hair up my butt and decided to plan one anyways... on short notice! So I rented one of those big inflatable bouncy castle for little kids to jump around in... it should be fun! It's not gonna be anything big, just a few fun things for lil' kiddo's to play with and pizza, it should be a good time! If any of my BHP friends would like to fly in to bounce around with us just let me know :o) The party is on Sunday 9/23 at 2pm!

Gotta run for now... Until next time!

Terresa

8/28/07-  Hey Everyone... I just got that CALL we have all been waiting for... The newest BHP princess is ON HER WAY... Be sure to visit The Singh Family website for updates on Rondha and Aryanne!

http://www.babyhomepages.net/ahrenjudekarransingh/index.php

(Here's the story I was writing before my exciting call from Rondha!)

I don't have long but I wanted to write a little update and thank everyone for the birthday wishes!

Couple of exciting updates... First off Makenna is starting to sit up, YAY... She can actually sit up for a couple minutes now without falling over, and the whole time she has the biggest cheesiest smile on her face, it's so darn cute... I just posted some picture of my sweetie sittin' up!

Raiden is doing great, He is starting to talk so much and he vocabulary is getting HUGE, he's finally starting to talk in sentences which I am SO excited about... the other night he told his grandma while shaking his head no 'No Grandma, I don't wanna go to sleep'... and he's always walking around asking 'What's that?', and whenever you ask him where something is he looks around and says 'There it is'... or There she/he is... and he's copying pretty much everything we say so we have to be careful of what we say around him!

I had a wonderful 27th birthday... I got a new camera for my birthday which I really am not too impressed with but that's another story... Chris took me out to dinner and we went down to the River (where we use to always hang out) and just spent some quiet time together, it was SO nice! He also took me to The Download Festival at the Gorge this last weekend with some good friends... it was an amazing show, we saw Incubus, Modest Mouse, Presidents, and a few other small bands... I had SOOOO much fun, it's been a long time since I went to a concert, now I wanna start going all the time, it was AWESOME!

8/20/07- Big news in MakennaLand... She decided last Friday to give in and try out the bottle, come to find out she LOVES it! She loves it SOOOO much, that she's decided she no longer wants to nurse!!!! OOOOH I am so sad and so happy all at the same time! It's been a real struggle trying to get her to accept the bottle, and now that she is taking it so willingly I don't want to mess that up by forcing her to continue nursing. I tried to nurse her last night but you know how it takes a minute or so to get the milk 'flowing'?? She's not willing to wait for that anymore... she likes the instant gratification a bottle gives her now. So after trying to get her to latch on for a few minute, I tried a bottle of formula and sure enough, she chugged it down. I did get to nurse her this morning before work but I think that's because she was half asleep... so I'm gonna continue nursing her for as long as possible, but I can tell the end is near and I'm gonna miss nursing her so much! She is a very cuddly baby and she loves being held, so I know I'll get my lovey time in with her!!! I have noticed though that she's been really happy for the past few days, so maybe this will be a good transition for her!

Rizzie's birthday is less than a month away and I have yet to planned anything!!! Chris and I decided to keep it low key this year, so maybe just chucky-e-cheese or something like that... I'd better get planning huh?!?! I want to make a new background for his birthday as well... AAAAHHH, time is of the essence!

8/15/07-  I took Kenna to her 4 month check up on Monday (4 mo and 10 days to be exact!) She is doing great, now weighing in at 14lbs 4oz and she is 24 3/4 inches long, both in the 70th percentile for her gender and age, she got 4 more shots and she took them like a pro! It's amazing to me how different she and Raiden are at this age, Rizzie was the exact same weight at his 2 month check up, he was such a beefy baby HAHA! I love that Kenna is still itty bitty, I feel like she is going to be my baby for longer, Rizzie grew up on me way too fast!

We are still trying to get Makenna to take a bottle, can you believe that it's been 2 1/2 weeks and she STILL is refusing a bottle? I have every kind of bottle along with every size of nipple flow... no luck! If any of you have any clever ideas PLEASE pass them along to me. I can tell that I am already producing less milk since I started back to work, so I sure hope she warms up to the bottle soon cause I think we'll be giving her some formula in the near future. We also started giving her a little bit of rice cereal during the day to help keep her full, she really loves it! Ooooh I am so releived that Makenna seems to be growing out of her reflux, it has really bothered her since birth, but she barely spits up at all anymore and she only gets tummy aches once in a while now, so she's been a much happier baby, YAY... I hate seeing her in such discomfort.

Rizzie is doing great... learning new things every single day! BREAKING NEWS... Rizzie has not had a binky for over 2 weeks now, YAY! I have to give the credit to Erin though, I honestly gave in to him pretty easy when he wanted his binky, but Erin just say NO... so I've been following her lead and sure enough, NO MORE BINKY! I tried to get his 2 year pictures done this weekend but he just would not cooperate, he thought it was so funny to go running off just as the photographer got him in place... lil' stinker! I did get a few good pictures of Makenna but she was a little fussy as well, I think they would have turned out even better is she was her happy smiley self!

I am super excited I bought a new digital camera on ebay and I should have it by Friday... Early Birthday present for myself  HAHA... OOOH I am super excited, I might even try to take my own 2 year pictures of Raiden, it was such a headache trying to get both kids to smile for the camera at the studio... not sure I wanna try that again any time soon!

As most of you know... one of our dear BHP friends Rondha is due to have her precious baby girl Aryanne any day now. I'll be updating her site as soon as I get that phone call so be sure to check in - http://www.babyhomepages.net/ahrenjudekarransingh/

I can't wait to get that phone call Rondha... Hang in there, only one more week :o) since we all know she'll be born on my birthday 8/22... YAY!

Terresa

8/07/07- BABIES BABIES AND MORE BABIES! Awww, I swear I am obsessed with them! It seems that everyone I know just had a baby, is pregnant, or is trying to get pregnant... How Exciting!

It's official... I'M BACK TO WORK! Last week was my first week back and I'm just now getting back in to the swing of things, it takes a while to adjust! Last week was hard, I miss my babies so much during the work day. Babyhomepages really helps me get through the day, I'll just pop to my pictures page and look at my beautiful babies and I feel better right away! It does feel good though to get out of the house and have some adult time, I've really missed my friends here at work and my job, I actually enjoy what I do (I'm a Project Manager :o)!

Rizzie and Makenna are adjusting well with me being away... I take that back, Makenna STILL will not take ANY bottle, I've tried a ton of different bottles, even one that looks and feels just like a boob, she doesn't even care that it's breastmilk in the bottle, she just wont take it... THIS GIRL KNOWS WHAT SHE LIKES! Erin has been feeding her about 2oz of breastmilk during the day using a medicine dropper or squirting the milk in her mouth using a bottle, can you believe that? I thought for sure by now she'd be okay with it... the funny thing is she isn't fussy or acting hungry at all during the day, she only gets mad when Erin tries to feed her with a bottle! Oh well, I guess if she's hungry enough she'll eat it! Rizzie on the other hand is still happy and playful and REALLY happy to see me when I get home which I love. Rizzie, Megan, and Jack all get along really well and play great together, I think he really likes having other kids at our house all day long.

Rizzie's birthday is next month... I'd better start planning huh!?!? I just can't believe he's going to be TWO years old already, he'll be my baby boy forever!

Back to work for now...

Terresa

7/31/07- Three years ago today... I married my Best Friend, and next month will be our 7th year together... it's amazing how fast time goes by when you are enjoying life!

I am so blessed... what else can I say.

Terresa

7/18/07- - It's been a BIG day for both Raiden and Makenna today! First off, I've been trying to get Makenna to start taking bottles because I'll be returning to work in just over a week... but she's been putting up a real fight. I got her some new NUK bottles that are shaped just like her binky and today I did the ol' switch-aru... and she drank the entire bottle (3oz) like a pro!!!! Oh what a relief that is, I was really worried about her not accepting the bottle in time.

And for Rizzie... He's sleeping in his big boy bed for the FIRST TIME as I type this, I am SO EXCITED!!! I've been talking to him all day about going night night in his big boy bed and he's been running over to it and laying down on it, saying night night and pretending to sleep.Once it came time for bed he had a hard time staying put, he would get up and run to get a toy and run back, I have a little video monitor that we watched him in... it was hilarious to watch him! It took him a good 30min but he finally crashed out around 8:30, not bad! I'll have to let  you all know how the night goes, hopefully he stays put! He'll be 22 months tomorrow, only 2 more months until his 2nd birthday!

Oooooh yeah and Makenna is super close to rolling over, she gets all the way over but her arm gets stuck so she flips back, she' loves to play on her floormat and she already likes the exersaucer as well!

Gotta go watch the new Miami Ink... love that show!

Terresa

7/13/07- Happy Friday! We went and had Makenna's ears pierced yesterday, OOOOH They look so cute! She only cried for a second than forgot all about it... you'd think I was in more pain than she was, I was a nervous wreck!

Back to work in only 2 weeks! I've been cleaning and organizing in preporation for our friend Erin to start watching the kids at our house everyday... My sister watched Rizz for us but she got a job while I was on maternity leave to help ends meet and she's decided to continue working. I was so scared I'd have to take the kiddo's to daycare and I really really didn't want that... I am SO excited they will be home everyday, Erin is going to bring her kiddo's Megan (3) and Jack (1) over to our house everyday to watch Rizz and Makenna. Erin is so good with her kids and she is wonderful with both Rizz and Kenna, I think the only problem we are going to have is feeding Makenna, the first few days are going to be ROUGH! She is a boobie baby and she makes it pretty clear that's ALL she wants... she's only taken breastmilk out of a bottle a couple of times now and it's been a fight every time, a couple of times she just didn't eat. I bought a few new kinds of bottles to see if that helps.... So Erin and I have been hanging out a lot so that the kids get use to each other and I want to make sure Erin feels at home at our house. Her kids are really good kids and they all seem to play well together, I am SO HAPPY that I wont have to worry about my babies while I'm working!

Okay... so Makenna isn't colic, I think she just has the occational fussy night and it seems to happen a few nights in a row... but she's been such an angel since the day I wrote that story! When Rizzie was a baby he barely never cried, It's amazing how different each baby really is!

We're off to our friends annual weekend BBQ Bash, they have 5 acres and fill it FULL of people... It's a little different going now than it was a few years ago, it use to be all about partying and drinking (like most camping trips use to be!)... but now it's all about keeping the kiddo's happy... HAHA, I still have fun anyways! There's always after they go to sleep ;o)

Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend... I"ll post pix of Kenna's cute earrings soon... I don't know why but it's so hard to get a good picture of them!

Love, Terresa

7/8/07- I sure hope everyone had a GREAT 4th of July, we sure did! I accidentally left my memory card in my pc on the 4th of July, so I wasn't able to take any pictures... darnit! I'm going to put Makenna back in her cute lil red/white/blue dress just to take pictures... Raiden's t-shirt with a flag on it isn't nearly as fancy but I'll snap some pictures of him too :o) We went up to our friends cabin on a lake, same place we went last year like every weekend, it's so relaxing there!

So I've started doing a little research... and I think Makenna may have Colic... NOOO! The early half of the day she is SO SWEET, such an angel, smiles at a glance and she's so chill...  but every night starting between 6pm-8pm she get's really fussy and wont stop crying... we walk her, take her for car rides, swing, tummy time, bouncer, you name it we've tried it... she'll calm down for a few minutes but than all the sudden starts screaming again... POOR Baby, I feel so bad for her cause I can tell something is upsetting her but I just can't seem to make her happy! It gets frustrating and very tiring for sure, but mostly I just feel so bad for her, I want to take her discomfort away but nothing seems to work for long. If any of you BHP Mommy's have any suggestion PLEASE let me know, I just want to help my poor baby! My email is terresa15@hotmail.com or just sign the guestbook, I would really appreciate any advice and some support!

My pc has a bug... so I'm using my work laptop to write this... I have NO idea how to fix it and I'm sure it's about to just crash at any moment... so I'm not messing with it anymore!

I'll post some new pix soon... I got some super cute ones of Makenna... I try my best to get pictures of Rizzie but my camera has a slow shutter speed so by the time it actually takes the picture he's already gone! Babies are much easier to photograph, they just lay there and smile :o)

Love, T

7/3/07- AHHHH, it's been so long since I've written a story I don't know where to begin!

First of all, Our princess Makenna is 3 months old today! WOW, I just can't believe it, she is growing up so fast already! She is such a sweet little baby, for the most part she's all smiles and giggles... but let me tell you, if she's not feelin' good she let's ALL of us know and she does not settled down until the problem is fixed, but I do my best to calm her of course. She had reflux really bad the first month, spitting up all the time and I could tell it was really upsetting her, luckily she's already started to out grow it so she's not spitting up much at all anymore... her pediatriction was surprised at her weight gain being that she spit up so much... at her 2 month check up Makenna weighed 12lbs 8oz and she was 24 inches long, that is between the 90th-95th percentile for her age, what a lil' chunk! I'm sure she's pushin' 14lbs now. We've also been battling thrush since she was about 4 weeks old. It goes away after I medicate it but seems to come back after I stop, so I'm just gonna keep swabbing her mouth even if it looks like it's gone... it doesn't seem to be bothering her at all though so that's good. Ooooooh and Makenna has been sleeping through the night since about 6 weeks, she goes to be at 10pm and wakes up between 6am-7am, I LOVE IT... Rizzie didn't sleep through the night until he was 8 months old so I'm feelin' really lucky this time around!

Rizzie is 21 months old, Oh my goodness only 3 months until he is the big 2.0... these days he's loving the outdoors, his favorite things to do these days are watering the flowers, playing in dirt, playing with all of his toy cars, trucks, quads... he's obsessed with Daddy's quad and he's always baggin' to go for rides! Rizz is really talking up a storm these days, he's such a good boy and almost always listens to me, unless he gets a taste of freedom in public, it's impossible to get him back in to a stroller... In all honesty, he's been my best lil' buddy over the past few months... we play, talk, wrestle, basically we do everything together, I'm really gonna miss spending all my time with him and Makenna... he is learning so much every day, I feel so lucky to have had the last three months off work, he's changed and learned SO much since Makenna has joined our family... he's such a big help to me during the day, he's my little 'go getter', I can ask him to get anything I need and he runs to go get it... what a sweetie!

Daddy has been one busy guy with his business... it's been going strong since he and Herb started it almost 10 months ago, they've already completed 45 jobs and they hired there first employee last month, with more to come I'm sure! Chris was also asked to teach a class at the college he attended, specializing in design and pipe fitting... he is highly respected in his trade, it seems everyone knows him or knows of him.... so he's got a lot going on and I am SOOO proud of him!

As for me... I am keepin' busy let me tell you! TWO kids is definitely a lot of work, especially at these young ages, but I am really loving every moment of it. So in between feeding the kids, playing with them, and changing lots of stinky diapers, I try to clean up the house, go for walks, run errands... all that fun stuff. I'll be returning to work at the end of this month, and while I've had such a great time with my babies, I am really looking forward to getting back to work. I've been asked to start working from home when I have time, so I have my laptop here but I just haven't been able to find anytime to work from home... I always thought that would be so cool to work from home, but now I see it would be REALLY hard to stay focused at home with the kids. Other than that I've been working really hard to lose the baby weight, I have about 5lbs more to go to get to my pre-preggo weight and I have another 10 I'd like to lose... but overall I'm feeling really good about myself and it seems like it's been a long time since I have... go me!

As a family, we've been having a ton of fun! In between all that madness, we've been going out of town nearly every weekend... camping, the ocean, friends cabins and properties... this summer has already been jam packed with fun and it's just started! Oh and of course we've been working really hard on the yard...okay, mostly Chris but I try to help when the kids are sleeping! We've got the decorative curbing done, got the rocks, and had the hydroseeding done all last week... now we're just waiting for it to grow... It's going to be SO nice to have a pretty front yard again, our house has been such a mess since last winters wind storm!

Now that I've kinda recapped our last few months, I'll do my best to keep up on stories... it's much easier to write a short story once a week than it is to write a novel every couple months!

Well, We're off to our friends cabin for the 4th of July, I got Rizzie and Makenna some cute little outfits! I hope everyone has a fun and safe Independence Day!

Love, Terresa!

Oh I almost forgot to mention, my nephew Issac graduated the 6th grade last week... I am so proud of him, You Go Issac, I love you!

6/20/07- Ahhhh my computer is driving me bonkers! That's all for now...

Terresa

6/9/07 - HI Everyone.... I know I am LONG over due for an updated story! I've had so much fun making new graphics and stuff for the website today and I have tons more ideas brewing... We are all doing wonderfully and I promise to write all about what we've been up too soon!

Just wanted to say HI... I'll be around more often now I'm sure, YAY!

Terresa

(Bragging Moment: Makenna is a GREAT sleeper, she has been sleeping through the night since 6 weeks!)

5/14/07- Just wanted to say HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.... To all my Mommy friends out there! Sorry I have not had time to wish everyone a wonderful day individually, we've been at the ocean for a few days! Rizz is getting ready to take a nap and I have SOOO much to write about... I'm hoping to find some time later today!

Just wanted to write a fast story... I have tons and tons of pictures to post as well.

Be back later (keeping my fingers crossed!)

Terresa

4/27/07- Hi Everybody! So my first week home with both kids went so smooth... some how it has gotten harder over the past couple of weeks, AAAAH! Raiden is still very good with the baby, but he has been throwing some serious tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants... Last weekend Chris and I went to the mall and Raiden threw the biggest fit ever when I took him off the kiddy rides... OMG it was so embarrassing, I swear he turned in to a holy terror, it was the first time he has ever thrown a fit in public... kicking, screaming, throwing himself on the floor... UGH we could not get him to calm down so we had to leave... guess I'd better get us to it huh?

Other than that he has been a good kid, and his vocabulary is growing daily, he is learning new words and copying everything we say! I'm going to start a word list on the front page of all the words he uses daily... he copies a lot of words, but the list will be of the words he uses and we understand regularly.

Makenna is 3 weeks old now and she is really chunkin' up fast, I'm sure she is right around 10lbs now... she's already outgrowing her newborn clothes and her 0-3 month stuff fits well... If she's like Raiden she'll be wearing 12 month clothes by the time she is 4 months old, CRAZY how fast he grew and she seems to be on the same track!

I hope to find more time to update the website, I really want to redo the entire front page including everything on it... but I've barely been able to find the time to post pictures or write stories... I have NO idea how you Mommy's with 2 or more kids keep up so well on your websites or social life, seems being a Mommy is all I have time for these day. It's all good, I really enjoy my babies and I know that soon enough I will be looking back at this time in my life wishing I could go back.

Ooooh BIG News... Our very good friends Mika and Laura are expecting there FIRST baby... WOO HOO I am SO excited I can't hardly stand it! Laura was one of my bridesmaides at our wedding, I'll have to post a picture of her and Mika from our wedding! Laura is due on Dec 19th and I cannot WAIT!

Makenna is starting to wake up now... Oh, I just posted a new video of her, I love to hear all of her little baby sqeeks and noises... check it out if you have time!

Lots of Love, Terresa

4/17/07- Our lil' princess is 2 weeks old today... My Oh My does the time fly when you're having fun! Raiden and Makenna are both doing so great, and I am having the time of my life with the both of them! Raiden loves his baby sister SOOO much, he has yet to show any jealousy towards her what so ever. He is constantly giving her kisses (as you can see in the pictures!) and whenever he hears her wake up he immediate starting running around looking for her saying BABY BABY, it's so cute! Over the past couple of weeks it seems Raiden has really grown and learned so much... his vocabulary is huge now, I'll have to start a list of words on the front page, but he's talking non stop these days, and he definitely understands everything we are saying to him, we've had to start spelling out words like 'BATH' so that he doesn't run to the bathroom or start taking off his clothes as soon as he hears us say it!

Makenna is such a happy baby... whoever said that newborn babies don't smile, obviously has not met my baby girl! She is constantly smiling... not only when she has gas either :o) whenever we rub her hair or touch her face softly, she get's the cutest little smurk on her face and she has the CUTEST little dimples when she smiles... Awwww, she is such a doll! She's a very mild mannered baby just like Raiden was, just wants to eat, poop, and sleep... she really only fusses when she's hungry. She sleeps 3-4 hours at night in between feedings, so I usually get up around 1am and 5am just to nurse and change her diaper, than she's right back to sleep.

Makenna had her first visit to the pediatrician at 3 days old, her weight was down to 7lbs 4oz., but that was also the day my milk came in... so we've been working hard to chunk her up! Today was her 2 week check up, she is now up to 8lbs 6oz and she is 20 1/2 inches long... She's already getting a double chin :o) I love chubby babies and I can't wait for her to having those same chubby thighs Raiden had! The peditrician was impressed with her weight gain and says she's doing really really well!

Honestly, I was terrified to be left home alone with both Raiden and Makenna, but it has been much easier than I had anticipated... The first day Chris went back to work I cried like a baby, but ever since it's been smooth sailing... Everything this time around has been SOOO much easier than the first! Recovery and nursing this time around has been a breeze... I am feeling great and almost back to my old self already (okay, not really, but I still feel good)!

That's all I have time for now... Rizz is waking up from his nap, time to go party!

Love, Terresa

4/9/07- Sorry for the delay... I'm sure everyone can understand that I've been busy... bonding with my husband, my son, and of course our precious new daughter! Here's a LONG recap of a very special day I will cherish forever, the day my daughter was born.

Last Monday was the last day I spent with Rizzie, just he and I. I had so much fun spending an entire week with him, playing and laughing... while I was getting anxious waiting for Makenna, he definitely kept me busy and distracted. Chris came home from work holding something behind his back... Of course I knew it was a gift for me cause I have the best hubby ever :o) he took the box from behind his back and I knew what it was right away... a digital photo frame! My friend William has one at work and I've been wanting one ever since he got it, just save your pix to the frame and it flips through them in a slide show, the colors are amazing! Chris didn't even know what it was, he said he saw it at Costco and thought it was cool and thought it was something I would really like... BOY does he know his wife! So after playing with that for a while, the three of us went down to Sizzlers for dinner (high class huh? HAHA!) We had ourselves a delicious buffet style dinner, chatted about the day and how excited we are for the baby to come. After dinner we drove to the park and chased after Rizzie for about an hour... he loves the park and loves to swing on the big kid swings, he holds on really tight :o) Then headed back home and just hung out, enjoying each others company. Chris was ready for bed around 10pm... I told him I was going to stay up (AGAIN!) because I had started to have contractions just like the previous 5 nights and just couldn't sleep yet... little did we know these contractions would actually be doing something! So I stayed up, played on the computer and cleaned up the house... The contractions were very consistent, at the most 3 minutes apart and getting stronger which of course made me excited.

I decided to lay down in bed around 1am, basically to watch the clock and time the contractions... By 3am I was in serious pain... NO way this could NOT be the real deal! I rubbed Chris on the back and said 'Baby, I think it's time, I'm going to call the midwives now', He wakes up in a daze, 'Really, Are you sure?', I told him to stay in bed until I get off the phone with the midwives, we already had our bags packed so there wasn't much we had to do but call Grandma Penny to come up and watch Raiden so we could leave. I got out of bed, went in to the living room to grab my cell phone and the moment I flipped it open I felt a teeny tiny 'pinch'! I knew that feeling for last time, sure enough fluids started trickling down my leg... not a big gush like last time, but there was no doubt about it, my water sprung a leak! I was SOOOO excited, NO more guessing!

The drive to the hospital was rough, I thought Chris was intentionally going over every pothole in the road, my contractions were about 2 minutes apart and I was in SOOO much pain, and I was having severe back labor just like with Raiden... Ugh a 10 minute ride seems like hours. I was wheeled directly to our room when we arrived, put on the cute hospital gown and as soon as I climbed on to the bed, I got that big GUSH I had been waiting so patiently for! The midwife checked me at 4am and I was already 4cm... I asked for the epi RIGHT AWAY please, I could not handle the pain for much longer! I of course had to get fully checked in and do all the 'other' fun stuff before I could get the epi, so I had to just breathe through them as they continued to get stronger. Around 5:30am I got the epi... after an hour it still hadn't kicked in so the anesthesiologist had to come back in and up the dose (or something, not sure what he did!) but about 30min later I couldn't feel a thing! By 7ish my midwife checked me again and I was 10cm dilated and 100% effaced. I told the midwife that I did not want to start pushing until I had that 'urge' because with Raiden I pushed for 4.5 hours and I think it was because his head was still a little high... she said no problem as long as the baby is tolerating labor fine which she was. I was checked again around 10am... baby was doing great and was sitting very low but I still did not have that 'urge'. We tried pushing for about a half hour or so but I was getting VERY frustrated because I could not feel anything and I wasn't making much progress. We decided to turn OFF the epidural and wait a while longer until I could feel my contractions or something... anything! Another half hour or so passed and I still couldn't feel the contractions but I did start to feel pressure... PERFECT, just what I needed! I don't know exactly what time it was, but once I felt that pressure, we started pushing again, and in a matter of a few pushes I was being told to slow down and just give little pushes... I looked down and saw her sweet face looking back at me! The midwife told me to grab my baby and help pull her out... so I did, I grabbed Makenna under her arms and pulled her right up to my chest!!! OOOOH, By this time I was a sobbing mess, I was so relieved to have her in my arms, she was so perfect!

I had such an amazing labor and delivery with Makenna, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Chris was amazing just like last time and he was my support the entire time. My midwife was the BEST, as well as the nurses we had during delivery. My sister was there as well, she was so excited to see the birth of her first niece, it was comforting to have her there. Chris and I fell in love with Makenna the moment she arrived, she is such an angel and we feel so blessed to have her as part of our family!

More to come... There is so much I want to write about yet I have so little time these days.

I hope everyone one had a great Easter Sunday... we sure did!

Love, Terresa

3/31/07- 39 weeks & 1 day... 6 days left or even MORE??? NOOOO! Do I have the right to start complaining yet? I do my best to stay positive, but I'm getting very frustrated now! I have not been able to sleep for over a week now, besides 30-45 min here and there and it's really wearing me down. Last night I 'thought' it may be time to call the midwife, but of course things slowed down... from 9pm to Midnight I was have very consistant contractions anywhere from 2-5 minutes apart. The pain was manageable, I could still walk and talk through them, the most painful part was my back ache, it was throbbing all night, I thought just 'maybe' it was time... Around midnight they started slowing down, I went and laid down in bed with Chris and fell a sleep for maybe 15-20 minute, when I woke up my back was feeling a little better and the contractions were few and far between...

GRRRRR! I am SO ready at this point! I have this annoying cold so I'm all congested, I have NO energy from not sleeping yet I'm doing all I can to stay active and of course taking care of Raiden, I've been having contractions and back pain for a few days, but it just doesn't seem to be progressing yet.

PLEASE... Any suggestions feel free to pass them along. Chris had a few things to finish up on a job site this morning, he'll be home minute. I think I'm going to ask my Mother In Law to come over and hang with Rizz for a while, maybe Chris and I can go for a long walk or a bumpy ride or something!

I really want Makenna to come on her own time... but dangit, I AM READY... Even though she didn't come this past week I am so glad I took it off work, cause I would have been miserable with everything going on.

COME ONE MAKENNA!

3/28/07- I just got back from my weekly prenatal check up... 38weeks & 5 days! GREAT NEWS... I normally would not have been 'checked' but I asked out of curiousity if they could... and of course whatever the Mommy wants the Mommy gets :o) Soooo, I found out I am 2cm dilated and 50% effaced... thinned out. Everything looks great, the baby is still low in my pelvis, my BP and everything else is within normal range... I've lost 1lb from last week and I haven't gained ANY weight in over 4 weeks now... HOOO WOOO!!! I have had some pretty intense contractions at night and I have not been able to sleep a wink in 3 days... It hasn't been too consistant so I'm hoping it'll pick up here really soon!

Just wanted to write a little update... Everything else is going great, I am really enjoying my days with Rizzie, he's been such a good boy!

Remember to keep poking at my bag of water! Today is the day my water broke (38w 5dys) with Raiden, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Love, Terresa

3/21/07- HAPPY SPRING!!!! 16 more days??? I can't wait that long!!!! Raiden and I both had doctors appointments yesterday. Rizzie is doing wonderfully, he weighed in at 29lbs 6oz (lost almost a lbs since he was sick last month!), and he is 34 inches tall... he's in the 75th percentile for both height and weight, which his pediatrician says is perfect, he's height/weight purportionate. He is also doing everything that an 18 month old is suppose to be doing... running, climbing, talking, feeding himself, understanding, playing, and of course throwing the occasional fit :o) He had 3 more vaccination shots yesterday which he wasn't happy about, but he got over it in no time...

I had my weekly prenatal midwife appt yesterday as well, at 37.5 weeks... Things are still going great, not too much to report as usual! My stats are all good, the baby's heartbeat was in the 140's like it usually is, and my belly measured 37.5cm... right on track! Ooooh, one small development, I once again tested positive for the Group B Strep (GBS), which I did with Raiden as well. It's a bacteria that 30% of woman carry, it's harmless to me but if passed along to the baby during delivery it can cause serious complications. So when I do go in to active labor, I'll be given an IV of antibiotics which will eliminate the baby's risk of infection.

That's about it for now... just playing the 'waiting' game! The baby is still head down and sitting very low in my pelvis, she's dropped a bunch and I have a ton pressure going on 'down there' that I never had with Raiden. I have the occasional contractions but nothing too serious or regular. With Rizz, my water broke 9 days before my due date, and I only had a couple mild braxton hicks contractions before my water broke, I didn't feel it coming at all... I'm kinda hoping it happens the same again this time. I HATE the guessing game 'Am I in labor? Is this false labor?'... There was no guessing last time, my water broke and contractions started right away...

Only 2 days of work left... I'll miss my friends here so much, but I'm really looking forward to spending time with my wonderful family and new baby! Chris has been a little overwhelmed lately and I feel so bad for him. His business is seriously booming, he's been working such long days and is always busy doing something... He's worried about staying on top of everything going on with work and being able to spend time with us. It'll all work out... he's such an amazing husband and father, and just wants to do the best for us.... I am so proud of him.

That's it for now... I'll be sure to update the site if anything exciting happens... and if I can't, my friend Tina will be on top of it!

Let's all start poking needles at my bag of water ;o)

Terresa

3/19/07- Rizzie is 1 1/2 years old today... Happy HALF Birthday baby boy!

Mommy loves you SOOO much!

3/15/07- Not only do I have great co-workers, but they are great friends as well! My department put together a small baby shower for me today... it was so thoughtful! We snacked on 7 layer dip, fruit, meats & cheeses, and a bunch of yummy desserts! They put all there money together and bought us almost everything we had left over to get for the baby... SO from EVERYONE we got... 3 packs of diapers, wipes, 30 piece care kit, snugli carrier, night gowns, jumpers, 3 bibs, 2 towels and a bunch of washclothes, a super cute little dress w/ bloomers, plus a $30 gift card for whatever else we may still need!

Special thanks to my good friends Kimi and Bridgette for putting it together for me... I really cannot tell you how much I appreciated it! And of course thanks to everyone else who showed up and chipped in... It meant a lot!

I took a few pix... I'll post some later tonight!

Terresa

3/13/07- Just a little update from yesterdays 36 1/2 week prenatal appointment... It was a good one! For the first time EVER, I actually lost a pound instead of gaining 4lb - Woo Hoo! Not only that, but the baby has dropped... Yippee! I thought I had notice a difference over the past few days (after I took the 36 week pix!) My belly actually measured smaller this time, 35cm, the midwife said that a lot of times when the baby drops the belly measures smaller... I guess the appointment just made me realized just how close we are to meeting our baby girl... HOW EXCITING, I am starting to get anxious now!

I'll have to take some new belly pictures, I can definitely tell she has dropped... I actually have some space between my boobs and belly... HAHA!

Terresa

Oh, one side note... the baby has been head down for a long time but her back is up against mine which made it a little harder to hear the heart beat... this is how Raiden was during delivery which caused the WORST BACK LABOR in the world, I am hoping that she'll turn around before delivery time!

3/12/07- 36 weeks (& 3 days to be exact!)... This pregnancy is really flying by! I remember with Raiden it seemed to take forever, I think that this time around I've just been so preoccupied with my little guy that I haven't had time to just sit around and 'wait'! I can't complain, both of my pregnancies have been fairly 'easy'... besides a few minor aches and pains I feel great.... Although I am starting to feel 'worn down' a little faster these days, we've been doing a lot of cleaning and organizing around the house these past few weeks in preparation for Makenna's arrival, and I've notice I have to stop and take breaks often, otherwise I start to get contractions and light headed... no need for all that yet!

Raiden is doing so great... I am amazed at everything new he is learning and saying! He and I take a bath together almost daily, and for the past few weeks he's been dunking his head under the water and laying on his belly to 'swim'... it's so cute! His newest favorite word is 'HOT' which he learned from the bath tub facet... He always wants to play with them so I let him turn on the HOT water and he learned REALLY fast what hot was, now when ever he sees the fire place, facets, heater, the first thing he says is 'HOT' and he steers clear :o) which makes me happy! His new room is slowly coming together, it's nothing fancy but he loves it, I often have to go check on him to make sure he's not getting in to anything, but he's always just hanging out playing with his toys. He's really in to his learning toys these days, anything with shapes, colors, things he can open/close, stacking toys, puzzles, books... He's little mind is growing and it's amazing to watch him figure things out, he get so excited! Ooooh, He's also likes to color now, I LOVE watching him 'color' (okay, scribble!) his mouth never closes, just like me when I color HAHA!

Sooo... We are slowly but surely preparing for Makenna's arrival, and seriously soaking up all our time with Raiden... He is such a ray of sunshine and watching him grow and learn has been one of the most amazing things we have ever witnessed... We are so excited to start from the beginning with a whole new life!

I have yet another prenatal appointment this afternoon. I'm still carrying the baby high... I didn't realize it at the time, but after looking back at my belly pix with Raiden, I can see my belly dropped right around 38 weeks, and my water broke a few days later... so I think we still have a couple more weeks before Ms. Makenna makes her appearance! Guess well have to wait and see :o)

Next Friday is my last 'scheduled' day of work... Woo Hoo!

Terresa

3/2/07- I can't believe it's March already! I just got back from my 35 week prenatal check up... once again, nothing interesting to report.... Baby is doing great and everything seems to be right on track, my belly measured 36cm this time :o)

Everyone is feeling so much better... Rizz is 100% back to normal, thank goodness! Chris and I are both feeling good as well, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that we can stay healthy for the rest of the winter!

Not much else going on... I'm definitely getting that earge to 'nest'... My Mom and Sis are coming over this weekend to help me clean up, I want to clean out cupboards, origanize closets, clean out drawers, and do some really good deep cleaning! I can't wait to have those things off my mind!

Okay well, just wanted to write a little update. I think I'm going to start getting some things done!

Take Care, Terresa

2/23/07 - 34 weeks down... only 6 more to go (hoping for less!)!!! Thank Goodness it's Friday... It's been another rough one let me tell you! First of all, Rizz is still sick, turns out he has the stomache virus... He's been throwing up everything since Wednesday morning, he hasn't kept anything down, not that he's had much to eat. I've been giving him only pedialite, crackers, and a few bites of things here and there... He hasn't gotten sick at all today yet, he's just very sluggish and tired... earlier this morning he did drink a sippy cup of pedialite and half a cup of water, plus some crackers, so hopefully he's going to start feeling better soon.

I had a very interesting day yesterday to say the least... My Mother In Law Penny was going to stay home and watch Raiden so that I could go to work, I REALLY did not want to leave him being sick and all so I was struggling with that all morning, but I had to go...I have already missed so much work lately and I wanted to get things caught up before I was too far behind. So I left... but all morning I was feeling pretty depressed and felt like such a horrible Mommy leaving my baby.  I worked 4 hours straight, not really paying any attention to the time, just trying to get everything caught up so that I could leave early to get back to Rizz. Around 10am or so I realized I hadn't eaten anything yet so I toasted my english muffin and got some water... scarfed it down and went back to work.  Around 10:30 or so I'm working away and all the sudden I started to feel really weird and got hot, so I took off the little jacket I was wearing and just sat there with my head on my desk for a minute... I thought maybe I should splash some cold water on my face so I got up and started walking to the bathroom, all the sudden I started to get really bad tunnel vision, started to drip sweat, and I started to stumble as I walked... I just kept telling myself 'I have to make it to the bathroom!' I get to the bathroom door, put my hand on the door handle and BOOM, lights out! There I was passed out on the floor right at the bathroom entrance... I wasn't out but for maybe a few seconds, I could hear people saying 'Are you okay?' but my eyes were closed and I just could not get up.  Needless to say everyone at work was in a frenzy trying to help the pregnant girl out... TWO fire trucks show up and probably 6 firemen come in to take all my vitals stats, check my head for bumps, put the oxygen tubes on me... asking me all kinds of questions, it was nuts... the whole time I was just a little light headed but other than that I felt okay. Then of course they had to call the ambulance to take me to Labor & Delivery to monitor the baby and make sure everything was okay. I was at the hospital for a few hours, all my vital stats were perfect as well as the babys... They checked my urine (nearly 4 hours after I fainted) and said I was slightly dehydrated and my blood sugar was a little low. So I ate a turkey sandwich and had some water...and felt 100% again.

I am sure this was a one time thing... I think with everything going on I was just a little overwelmed... Being sick last week, being worried about my sick baby at home, trying to get caught up at work, being a little dehydrated and low blood sugar... Guess I just need to take it easy for a few days.  Everyone at work was so worried and helpful, but it was one of the most embarrasing things that has ever happened to me... Being on the floor in the bathroom, all the firemen and the ambulance, being hauled off strapped on to a bed with everyone watching... all cause I fainted for a few seconds! I'm greatful everyone was so helpful, but I am not looking forward to going back to work on Monday and explaining what happened over and over again, I just want it to go away!

So I'm home today, but I feel just fine... I actually got up and got all ready for work but when I saw Rizz this morning I just could not leave him, he has been so weak and limp all day... luckily I got some fluids in him and he's napping now... I made him an appt for today at 3:30pm just to be safe.

We'll be laying low this weekend for sure!

Terresa

2/21/07 - OH My Goodness... It is never ending! I could have sworn Rizz had a flu shot at his 12 month check up... my nephew Aaron caught the flu and since Rizz is over at my sisters house everyday I thought I'd call his pediatrician just to double check... come to find out he didn't get the flu shot, I don't know how I mixed that up, I thought for sure they said 1 of the 5 shots he got was the flu shot! Soooo.... I took him in yesterday and got his flu vaccination. I know there are flu like symptons that can occur after getting the flu shot, but Rizz has been acting just fine since he got it. Well this morning Chris dropped Raiden off at my sisters house, and on my way in to work Misty calls saying Rizz is throwing up everywhere.... NOOOOO! Sooo, I turned around and headed back to her house to pick him up.

I called his ped office and asked if one of the flu shot symptons was actually throwing up and they said No... not usually. I'm waiting for a call back from his pediatrician. I am praying this was just a bad sympton and NOT the actual flu... we'll see.

My poor baby, I just hate hate hate to see him sick... and this years flu has been horrible for everyone I know, I am hoping and praying this will pass really fast! I'll write an up date once I know more.

Sad Mommy... Terresa

2/16/07- Happy Friday! Boy am I glad this week is over... it's been a rough one! I started feeling better on Tuesday night... than of course Chris and Raiden both had to get a touch of the cold again... Oh well, We are all getting over it now so I'm thankful for that.

I went to my 33 week prenatal check up today... once again, not much to report :o) Makenna is growing right on track and everything is moving along perfectly! We don't have much planned for this weekend... Chris has to work on Saturday, and I'll probably just hang with Rizzie and clean up the house a little. Rizz has been such a little goof ball lately, always making silly faces and he is constantly cracking himself up over nothing, I love it!

I can't really think of anything else to write about right now... it's almost 10pm, WAY past my bedtime :o) so I'm going to snuggle up with Chris before he passes out!

Have a nice weekend!

Terresa

2/13/07- Yuck, I finally caught the nasty cold/flu bug that everyone has been getting... I thought I was in the clear free zone once Chris and Raiden both had it 2 weeks ago and I didn't get it... boy was I wrong! I'm on day 4 of  'the yuck'... been having really bad cold/hot flashes, it's like 75 degrees in my house, I am so freezing and sweating all at the same time, NO FUN... my fever has been around 101 for a couples of days, plus theres the fun cold/cough/sore throat thing to go along with it... ugh I feel super weak, it hard to even walk! Needlesss to say I've stayed home from work for 2 days now and I HATE missing work... but I know that if I don't stay home and rest than it will last even longer, plus everyone at work is sick too! Yesterday was the first day I have been home alone without Raiden since he was born, can you believe that!?! Too bad I feel like pooo, there is so much stuff that needs to get done around the house before the baby comes, I just do not have the energy to do anything!

If the fever lasts much longer I'm calling my midwife. Makenna seems to be doing fine, I feel her moving around all the time, but if her movements slow down or I get hehydrated I'll need to go to the docs just to be safe! I have my 33 week prenatal check up on Friday, so hopefully I'll be okay until then. Which reminds me, I forgot to write about my 31 week check up a week and a half ago :o) Not much to report, everything is great... my belly measured much better at this appt, they took a long time finding exactly were to measure, I measured 32cm which is great for 31 weeks, just one week big... my weighed gain is on track and my iron level and blood pressure are all perfect!

Thats it for now... I'm going to lay back down... I'll write an update on Friday if not sooner!

Terresa

1/26/07- YAY... Finally a minute to myself! BIG Milestone today, we are 30 weeks pregnant... only 10 more to go (hopefully less!)!!

I had my first midwives appointment last Monday, at 28.5 weeks... I was so excited to go back to the midwives, I went to them during my entire pregnancy with Raiden, so it was nice to see some familiar faces, everyone is so nice there! They changed hospitals so I'll be delivering Makenna at Valley Medical Center... I loved my experience at Highline Medical Center, but I thought it was more important to stick with my midwives than the hospital Raiden was born at.

My appt went great... up another 4lbs, and measured REALLY big, at 28.5 weeks I measured 33cm... which means my belly measured about 4.5 weeks big! I can tell Makenna has grown so much over the past couple of weeks, she is moving all over and I can feel her way up in my ribs and way down in my pelvis all at the same time... It's so exciting!

Over this past month Raiden has really taken a liking to my new round belly. He loves to lift up my shirt and blow bubbles on my tummy, than when he's finished he puts my shirt back down, it's so cute... whenever he walks by me he has to stop and pat on my big o' belly... I think he definitely knows things are changing, but he's a little to young to try to explain!

Daddy and Raiden have both been sick over the past week or so with nasty colds... I haven't caught it yet, I'm hoping that all the extra vitamins and the flu shot are helping to keep it away!

I'm gonna take some 30 week belly pictures this weekend so come back and visit soon... I'm going to take a bath while both of my guys are sleeping!

Good Night!

Terresa

1/12/07 - UPDATE FROM EARLIER TODAY- I passed my gestational diabetes test, YAY! A normal blood sugar level after drinking the sugary drink is between 99-139 and I scored a 113, so NOT even close this time around!

On the other hand... My iron was a little low and they said I could be slightly anemic, my iron should be 36 or above and it came back at 35... Nothing really to worry about but I'm gonna start taking iron vitamins every day just to be safe!

That's it for now, I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Terresa

1/12/07 - Woo Hoo, We've made it to the 3rd trimester! 28 weeks down... only 12 more to go, WOW!

I went to the docs on Wednesday to have my blood drawn for the Gestational Diabetes test... I should hear back with the results today, I sure hope I passed! With Raiden I failed this one hour test by 2 points and had to take the 4 hour test at the hospital, it was no fun but I passed with flying colors... hopefully I don't have to do that again!

My belly is growing so much faster this time than it did with Raiden... I can tell Makenna is getting big in there, I am starting to feel her in all new places, in my back, sides, ribs... I'm not to that uncomfortable stage yet, I love to feel her in there moving around! I'm starting to feel a little more prepared for her arrival and I've passed that stage of fright about having two kids... Raiden was always an easy baby and so far has been a really happy toddler, I think he's going to be such a great big brother!

This past month Raiden has learned so much, seems he is doing new things every day. Yesterday he woke up before I left for work... When he wakes up you can here in him his room moving around and talking nonsense, then when he's ready to get up he starts to yell out 'Dada, Dada' cause Daddy is usually the first person he see's in the morning. I walked in to his room and he got the big'o smile on his face and started dancing in his crib saying 'Mama Mama'... I love it when he wakes up all happy like that! So I picked him up out of his crib and put him on the floor (after he grabbed is blanket of course, he doesn't go anywhere without it!), he ran to the living room and turned the TV on... then ran over, grabbed the remote and brought it over to me... He KNEW I was going to turn on spongebob so as soon as he handed the remote to me he started to smile and dance... once the show started he sang along starting with 'OOOOOOH'... It was hilarious! As he stood there dancing away I said to him, 'I'm gonna go make you a Baba' (we still call his sippy cup with milk a baba) he runs in front of me in to the kitchen, points up to the counter and says 'Nana', and of course he always gets a banana with his milk! So I got his milk ready and pealed back his banana, he ran back to the living room, grabs his blanket and sat down on his little couch with his hands out... I give him his banana and milk and he turns in to this little zombie! He just sits there, eyes on spongebob, and goes back and forth from his banana to his milk... then he hands me his banana when he needs it pealed back more!

Chris and I can't wait to get home to see him everyday... as soon as we see our little boy our hearts melts and all the worries of the day fade away. Chris and I watch the things he does and we just look at each other and smile... we are so proud to be his parents, we still say to each other every day 'Can you believe this little boy is ours?'! Raiden is really into showing us just how much he loves us too, at night before bed he loves to sit on the big couch, I'll lay down and rest my head on his lap and he's just sit there and play with my hair and lean his head on top of mine... he is always giving us hugs and kisses... OOOOH, There is nothing like it!

I am really soaking up these last few months that it will be just the three of us... My last day of work will be March 23rd, 2 weeks before my due date. I want to spend some time with just Raiden before his sister gets here... She is going to be such a wonderful addition to our family, but I want to make sure Raiden never feels like he is less loved... He will always be our baby boy and he's going to be such a great big brother!

I'll write an update on the Gestational Diabetes test as soon as I hear back, keep your fingers crossed!

Terresa

1/4/07 - Happy New Year! Ooooh we've been super busy lately, and I thought I'd better write about Christmas before it's a faded memory! We had such a WONDERFUL Christmas.... Raiden of course was super spoiled and now has more toys then I know what to do with! I have a closet full of toys for 3 + year olds, so we are stalking up! This year was so exciting... Raiden had so much fun opening gifts, after opening each one he'd want to play with it... so we ended up having to open up some of them, he was just too pre-occupied with everything going on! Our little guy is getting SOOO smart, we are just in 'AWWW' at all of the new things he is saying and doing! Over the past few weeks he has really starting to talk a lot more, his favorite thing to eat are bananas, and now he'll run to the kitchen and point and yell 'NANA'... it is SO cute! He jabbers all kinds of stuff which we cannot understand, but he's definitely trying to tell us stuff! Oh man... I gotta get back to work right now, but I'll update more on Rizzie and Makenna soon!

12/21/06 - Things are looking up... it could have been a lot worse! We knew that a wind storm was going to hit on Thursday night, but really didn't think anything of it. Chris and I woke up around 12:30am because we heard our power go out and we could hear the loud winds outside. We couldn't sleep so we got up and went into the dining room so we could watch out the front window, I was standing behind Chris's chair. We were watching a huge tree across the street because it was bobbing around and we thought for sure it was going to fall... Well Chris starts peddling backwards pushing me out of the way and I really didn't know what was going on, sure enough, one of the tree's in our front yard was coming straight towards us! It slammed into the house but luckily it didn't break through the ceiling! At the same time another tree fell heading towards the house but our walnut tree was in the way, so it stopped there, PHEW!

Our yard looks like a war zone... Chris, Aldo, and Lonnie worked last weekend to clean up what they can, the adjuster guy from our home owners insurance wont be out to access the damage until Christmas Day. In total 4 tree's came down, and all of our shrubs were destroyed as well... so we'll have a lot of landscaping to do. The guys chopped up the trees in to logs and piled up all the branches... we had a few HUGE piles of branches, twigs, and leaves but some city truck came by yesterday and spent a lot of time cleaning all that out of our yard.... so that was nice. The damage to the house doesn't look too bad from the outside, there's some broken wood near the gutters, and our porch seems a little crooked... no holes in the roof which was a surprise, but they'll have to climb up in to the attic to see if any of the wood was damaged.

We finally got our power back after 3 days, luckily we have a little generator so we were able to turn on Spongebob for Raiden and use the microwave... we had hot water the whole time too, so it wasn't too bad. Since everyone else in the family was out of power too, we had lots of family and friends stopping by to warm up by the fire... it was fun.

Other then that, we've been finishing up shopping and prepping for Christmas. I haven't had much time on my hands for taking pictures, but I'll be sure to get some good ones of my belly and my cute lil' boy over the holiday!

It's hard to believe that tomorrow I will already be 25 weeks along, ONLY 15 weeks go... I had my 25 week check up last night, everything is looking great, measuring exactly 25 weeks, Makenna's heartrate was 137, and she is moving around all over the place. The only thing I'm a little bummed about (okay, TOTALLY bummed about) is the fact that I've already gained 22lbs in 25 weeks. UGH, I hate gaining weight.... I have to remind myself daily that it's not about me right now, it's about our baby! Once she's here I'm sure I'll be able to get the weight off again, it's just frustrating right now!

In case I don't find the time to tell you all personally, we hope you and your family have a Wonderful Holiday!

Love, The Johnsons

12/17/06- Woooo Hoooo... We has POWER!!! After three days without it... It's nice to be able to SEE again! I'll write all about our mini crisis tomorrow, I just wanted to get a few pictures posted and tell everyone we are just fine... but stuck in the middle of a MESS!

Be back tomorrow...

Terresa

12/15/06

Hi this is Tina, Terresa's friend from BHP. I wanted to let everyone know that Chris, Terresa, Raiden, and Baby Mckenna are all fine! They were hit by the Pacific Northwest storm yesterday. The high winds knocked a tree onto the house. Thank god no one was hurt. They are cutting the tree up as I am typing. Terresa does not think that there is much damage to the ceiling but there is some damage to the roof and should be able to stay in the house. She also said they might not have power for up to 4 or 5 days. Lets just hope its sooner. She also said Raiden slept thur it all, which is good and she is at home playing with him in the dark. They have a generator so will use it when they need to. She will be updating me and I will update the site with any new news. Please keep them in your prayers! Tina

12/7/06 - I just had to write a HUGE Thank You to my dear friend Tina! She gathered some things that she still had around from her baby girls and even bought a few things and sent them to us for baby Makenna... I just can't believe all of the nice stuff she was able to jam into one diaper box, she more then double what I had for Makenna! Raiden had a lot of fun climbing on the box and he loved opening it and taking everything out, within a minute of opening the box there were baby girl clothes and blankets all over the living room and I hadn't even had the chance to look at them yet :o) After putting Raiden to bed I was able to look through everything and GEEZ, she really went out of her way to send us all of this GREAT stuff! There were probably 10 pairs of super cute jammies, 5-6 outfits, onsies, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 super soft blankets, new receiving blankets, and a cute lil' bathrobe! I just kept looking at it all over and over again...

Tina, You are such a thoughtful person. I can't Thank You enough for being such a good friend to me. I can only hope that one day I can do the same for you!

Love, Terresa (and my family!)

11/17/06 - Wooooo Hooooo... Can you all believe it??? Makenna is HALF WAY BAKED ALREADY!!! 20 weeks down... 20 more to go! Time is flying, Makenna will be here in NO TIME! Ooooh, I have so much to do and so much GIRL stuff to buy!

I've been kinda bad at taking pictures lately, I'll definitely take some family pictures on Thanksgiving, we are due for a new one...

I hope you all have a Wonderful and Joyful Thanksgiving!

Love, Terresa

11/16/06- Raiden has a MOLAR... crazy huh! As far as I could tell he had 8 teeth, 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom. My sis just called me and said she was playing with Rizzie, he was laughing and tilted his head back with his mouth wide open and there was a BIG white tooth in the back on the right, she felt it and it was all the way through... It's he young for that? I've heard that those are the most painful to come in and we didn't even know it was there... Rizzie must have a high tolerance for pain, teething has never really been an issue for him! I thought Molars came in around the age of 2... what's up with that? I'll have to check with his doc... when should I take him to the dentist? I should probably check in to that too! I can't imagine him sitting still right now to let anyone look in his mouth, he doesn't even let me do that!

Okay, just had to tell you all... laters!

Terresa

UPDATE!!! Here's what I've learned...

When do toddler teeth appear?
The teeth most likely to cause discomfort are the first molars, which are likely to come through between 12 and 15 months, and the second molars which are likely to appear around the end of the second year. The sharp-pointed canines are usually cut in between and with relatively little trouble.

11/07/06- Okay so I think it's finally set in... Oh my gosh, I just can't believe we are having a girl, I was SO sure we were having another boy, I was even looking forward to seeing Raiden have a little brother to play with! I think I convinced myself it was a boy because last time I wanted a girl soooo bad, and I was a little 'let down' when I heard the word 'boy' (which is even hard me to admit... I had no idea...) ... and now that I know just how much I love my little boy, there was no way I was going to feel 'let down' with another boy! I was wrong YET again... my 'motherly intiutions' are way off HAHA... but I knew I would be truly happy either way this time!

The ultrasound was great... our little girl is just like the energizer bunny, she just keeps going... and going... and going! The U/S lady wasn't sure she was going to be able to tell the sex because she would not stop moving! She's head down but kept moving from left to right and squirming her lttle legs around, and she kept putting her hand up to her eyes... I swear she was playing peek-a-boo with us! So the lady looked for a couple of minutes but just could not get a clear image of her 'goodies' so she went on with the U/S and said we would check again in a minute (when the baby calms down!) We checked again and I could see right in between her lil' thighs, I definitely didn't see a lil' wee wee like I did with Raiden. She finally caught a still frame, there were definitely three little lines... All GIRL! Ooooh I was so thrilled, Chris and I just smiled at each other... I know he is excited, but I'm pretty sure he's nervous about having a daughter too :o) I think that will all go away once she gets here, she is going to melt him! I tried so hard not to cry but of course I couldn't hold it back (I am such a cry baby!) Ugh I was a wreck when I called my sister and parents... we have ALL been waiting for a baby girl for SOOOO long. On my side of the family we have tons and tons of boys, 4 within the past year, but NO baby girls! There aren't too many little kids on Chris's side of the family yet, one of his cousins has a 3 year old daughter.... but that's it!

Our daughter's name is already set in stone, Makenna Lynn Johnson. I have had my first daughters name picked out for about 4 years now... before we were even married, I told Chris I had dibs on our daughters name :o) but when I told him he loved it too... so it worked out great! Back then I had never meet any Makenna's, but I know a few now... I think it's such a pretty name, and we can't wait to meet our lil' Makenna!

Time to start SHOPPING!!!!

Terresa

OOH... I forgot to mention that our baby girl is measuring right on track, she measured 18 weeks 4 days...  and we are at 18 weeks 3 days! Her heart rate was 137 bpm!

11/06/06- IT'S A GIRL!!!

I'll write all about the ultrasound real soon I promise... It was GREAT! Life does not get much better then this, first an amazing little boy that means the world to us, now we get our lil' princess... AMAZING!

I'll write more when I come down from cloud nine. Thanks for checking in... I couldn't wait to share the news!

Love, Terresa

11/01/06- Hope everyone had as much fun as we did last night! Even though Raiden was still a Lion for Halloween, we never received the one I ordered online, I'll be getting a refund for that! Our friends William and Janica had gotten Raiden a cute little bat costume at a 2nd hand store, it was really big on him. My sister had gotten Alex a Lion costume from a friend, but it was a little small on him. Since Alex is a little bigger than Rizzie now we switched... they both looked SO CUTE! We took more pictures of both of them with my sisters camera, so I'll be downloading more pictures of Alex and Rizz soon! I only took a few pix of Rizz at home and they all turned out a little fuzzy... he was so darn cute so I posted them anyways...

We decided to do the 'Trunk-Or-Treat' thing with my sister and nephews, I'd never been to one before, it was REALLY cool... I wish I would have taken some pictures there! People volunteer to back there cars in, decorate there drunks all different ways, and hand out candy to all the kids. Some people got really creative it was so neat. We walk trunk to trunk and saw all the cool decorations and all the cute kids, but we didn't get much candy... I really don't need it around the house, and we don't let Rizz eat candy either. I made the mistake of letting him taste a tootsie pop a couple weeks ago and he did not want to give it back to me, when I took it he totally throw a huge fit... so no more candy for him!

The walk back to my sisters house is about a mile. Raiden started to get a little tired and fussy in his stroller so Chris took him out and put him up on his shoulders... he loves being up on Daddy's shoulders, he looked so happy it was too cute. Chris and I were walking along and Chris says 'I think he's falling a sleep'... I looked up and sure enough he was sleeping, Rizzie had his head resting on the top of Chris's head, AWWWW, it was the cutest thing! I wish I had my camera!

That's it for now... 5 more days until the BIG ultrasound (not that I'm counting!!) I wrote a story a while back about having a dream about giving birth to another little boy, it was so vivid... Well last night I had a CRAZY off the wall dream about the ultrasound. I dreamt that for some reason I couldn't make it to the ultrasound so Chris went without me (HAHA!!!) he came back and I was like... don't tell me, let me see the U/S pictures... So he handed them to me and they were a bunch of regular pictures of people and kids, I started getting mad because I couldn't find any pictures of boy/girl 'parts'... I started crying and said just tell me, he got a little smirk on his face and said 'We're having a 'Girl' and I started bawling!!! So now I've had a dream about a boy and a girl... I have NO idea, my 'mothers intuition' is failing me :o) Not much longer!!!

More pictures too come!

Terresa

10/30/06 - I know it's a little premature to change my background to Thanksgiving but I thought it was so darn cute... my Halloween background was pretty lame, I just didn't have the time to get creative with it! Do you like it?

Originally I wasn't planning to get Rizz a costume this year for Halloween... most costumes these days (at least the cute ones) have hoods or hats and he HATES anything over his head, plus they are so overpriced it's crazy! BUT, I broke down and got him a cute little lions costume on-line for only $8.00! I should be getting it today, I figure for $8.00 hopefully I'll get some cute pictures :o) Not sure what we're going to do yet, maybe go to the mall, or just hang out with my sister and nephews. It's too cold outside to take the babies trick or treating, plus he's still too young... not only that but we don't give him candy and I sure as heck don't want it tempting me around the house!

Great News... My Quad screen results came back regular :o) ONLY ONE MORE WEEK.... WOO HOO!!!! I am so excited I can't hardly stand it!!! I had a friend say to me 'Sorry, But I have a feeling it's another Boy'... I'm like 'WHY in the heck are you SORRY??'... As if I will be upset if we have another son, who could resist another sweet boy like Raiden, plus we already know we make darn cute boys ;o) Either way, we are just excited to have our family grow!

I posted a few new pix of Rizzie over the weekend... more to come soon!

Hope you all have a Fun & Save Halloween!

Lots of Love,

Terresa

10/23/06- Wow... I was doing so good at updating the site and now I'm way behind! I was reading all about the things Layla was doing on her website and I thought I'd better write about Rizzie! Layla sounds like she's up too all the silly things Raiden is :o) His favorite game to play these days is Peek-A-Boo, he'll play it with his blanket, or hide around the corner and jump out... basically whatever he can hide behind he does, then he pops out... and we say BOO (Peek A Boo takes to long ;o) and he just thinks it's the funniest thing he's ever seen HAHA! He also likes to walk around with his blankey over his head, he just walks until he bonks into something and turns around and keeps going... Silly Boy!

Raiden really enjoys feeding himself these days, he loves to hold his own fork or spoon so I just let him go at it... he loves it when I give him whole eggo's so he can take big boy bites out of it, after every bite he gets this cheesy grin! He still has around 3 bottles of milk a day, he drinks everything but milk out of a sippy cup but for some reason he still likes his milk in his bottle, I haven't really forced the issue yet, but we'll have to get him off the bottle soon... and his binky! He's now up to 6 teeth... 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom, and there are 2 more on the bottom that are just about through... teething as never been an issue for him thank goodness!

A day in the life of Rizzie.... He has a great schedule and he's very predictable which is nice for us parents, he wakes up all happy and laughing around 6:30am every day, after spending some quality time with Daddy after I leave for work, Chris takes him to my sisters house and he's always so happy when he gets there, like he's there to party all day :o) He takes a nap around 9am to 11am, then I pick him back up at 3:30pm... usually when we get home he's really for another mini nap, but most of the time he'll just sit in his crib for about 30 min just to have some time to himself, he really likes that. Around 4 or so he's usually roarin' and ready to play, Daddy and I usually race to his room so that we can be the first to give him hugs and kisses... then of course we play for a few hours, eat dinner, and it's already time for bed around 7 or 7:30... We lay him down and sometimes we turn on the portable DVD player so he can watch spongebob... he never fusses, just hangs out in his crib until he falls a sleep. Rizzie has always been such an happy and easy-going kiddo, I sure hope we are as lucky with our new baby!

I had my 4 month check on last Friday... and it went 'so-so'. Don't worry, the baby is just fine! His/Her heartbeat was 147 bpm and is measuring right on track! I had to get my blood drawn for the Quad screen test... I have very small veins and the nurses always have the hardest time finding them... I was poked 9 times before she finally got a vein in my arm, she felt so bad. The scary part was my blood... it was so thick, I'd never seen it like that before... the nurse said it looked like I was dehydrated! I do drink water but obviously I haven't been drinking enough! She finally got a little bit of blood but then had to stop because my arm was getting really swollen, I have a HUGE bruise on my arm now! Not only that but I am retaining water (because I'm dehydrated), I've already gained 9lbs... I was so bummed to hear that! Needless to say everyday since last Friday I've drank at least 50-60oz of water each day... and I am not drinking anything but water right now. I've been watching my diet (which I always do anyways!) and I go walking as much as possible but with the cold rainy weather it's been kinda hard.

One GREAT thing did come out of my doc appt... I got to scheduled our BIG ULTRASOUND... Mark your calendars, *Hopefully* we will be finding out the gender of our little bean on Monday, November 6th... only 2 weeks away!

See what happens when I don't write for almost a month.... you all have to read a novel!

I'll be posting more cute pictures of my sweet boy soon, stay tuned!

Lots of Love!

9/28/06- We got to see our lil' bean on Tuesday... It was so awesome! This baby is SOOO active, he/she would not sit still for a second... (I don't want to say he or she yet so for now we call it 'Bean' or 'it' which I know sounds bad :o) It's in there bouncin' off the walls, sucking it's thumb, doing back flips, stretching, it just wouldn't sit still, the U/S lady had a hard time getting the heart rate cause it just wouldn't sit still :o) We didn't have an ultrasound with Rizz until 18 1/2 weeks... this was a new experience for us, they definitely have more room at this point... Chris thought it was so funny, he was laughin' the whole time! When we went in for the U/S I was 12 weeks and 4 days preggo, and the baby measured exactly 12 weeks and 4 days... which means my due date is officially April 6th! Watch... we'll probably have the baby on April Fools Day and everyone will think we're just pulling a joke HAHA!

I wanted to thank everyone that send birthday wishing to Raiden last week... it's so nice to see how many people out there actually read and follow up on his website... I love it! Honestly we don't have a whole lot of friends close to home that have kids, we were the first out of our group of friends to have a baby... so it's nice to have friends all around the country (and world!) to talk too and share experiences with that can relate to what we are going though. I don't know what I would do without some of you Mamas!

I need to send a few Special Thank You's out to some really good friends... My dear friend Rondha (Ahren's Mommy!) in So. America sent Raiden and Baby J a little gift... for Raidens they sent a cute little shirt and a couple of cans of cereal that they only sell in So. America... and Rizz LOVES it... and for our lil' bean she sent a cute little shirt! My friend Tina (Emily and Gala's Mommy!) in California sent Raiden a super cute book that was specially made for Raiden, it's called 'My Adventures in Birthday Land' and Raidens name is printed through out the whole book as well as his cousins names... I'm not going to let him play with it yet cause he'll probably try to rip it apart (it's not a hard back) and I think he'll really love it when he gets a little older! And of course... My bestest friend Theresa (Laylabugs Mommy!) sent Raiden the cutest layered outfit. it has a fleece long sleeved plaid shirt underneath and a cute little sweater with a dinosaur on the front, along with matching pants... it's really cute, it's kinda big for 18 months so it might be a couple months before it fits, but it's perfect for the cold holiday season!

I took a ton of awesome pictures of Raiden opening the gifts he received from you all, and then like a dork I was playing with my camera and accidentally deleted them all :o( I was nearly in tears, I'm so sorry! I may try to re-enact the pictures so that you all see him with your gifts :o)

So... Thanks again to all of my wonderful friends for sending so many birthday wishes and gifts to our son... you all definitely made his 1st birthday a memorable one!

Lots of Love,

Terresa

9/22/06- Big News.... I had my 12 week check up yesterday and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat.... YAY!!! I finally feel like this pregnancy is real, hearing that little beat was the best feeling! We were a little bummed because Chris wasn't able to make it to the appt because he had to work and pick Raiden up from my sisters house, so he feels a little left out right now. Good news is that we scheduled my first ultrasound for next Tuesday 9/26 @ 4pm. So my sister is going to watch Rizz late that day so that Chris can come with and SEE the baby with me, YIPEE! This ultrasound is just to confirm my due date and to make sure the heart is developing normally, which it sure sounded great yesterday! My due date based on my last menstrual period is April 6, 2007, but if my ultrasound shows anything different then it my change. With Raiden he always measured about a week big and he was born a week early, so I'm hoping, just maybe... this one will be the same! So maybe we'll have a March baby :o) The sooner the better! Only 2 more months before we find out if Raiden will have a lil' brother or sister... I can't wait!!!

I'll right more next week!

Terresa

9/20/06- HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY ALEX!!!!

Just a quick update... We just got back from Raiden's 1 year doc appt... He is now up to 26lbs and 31 inches in length... he's in the 90th percentile in weight and 80th percentile for height. So he's only gained 1 pound and grown 1 inch in the past 3 months, he's obviously starting to shed that baby weight! His doctor was very impressed at how well he was walking around the room and he was even happy and smiling while she checked him out... She says he is exceptionally healthy, we've only been in one time for a cold when he was 3 weeks old other then his normal check ups! We've been doing half whole milk and half formula for a few weeks now and she says it's time to go straight to whole milk, so we'll give it a try later tonight, he hasn't had any problems with it yet so hopefully it's a smooth transition... He also got 5 shots today, poor baby held his breath through the whole thing but was just fine when she was finished... all smiles again as soon as I picked him up... He was feeling just fine after we left the docs so I took him to get his hair cut again... he's lookin' all handsome like usual :o)

I'll have to update his growth chart soon, it's way outta date! Welp, I gotta go fold the clothes and get stuff done while Rizz is napping. We are going over to my sisters house for dinner tonight, I want to see Alex on his birthday since I wasn't able to last year... we were in the hospital at the same time :o)

Lots of Love,

9/19/06- Happy 1st Birthday Raiden.... WE LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH! Mommy and Daddy have been blessed over and over again throughout the years, but nothing could have prepared us for you... you are by far the best thing that has ever happened to us and we thank god every day for bringing you to us!. Thank you for filling our hearts with so much love, thank you for always smiling and laughing, and giving us hugs and kisses... You will always be our baby boy... always and forever...

We love you Rizzie!!!

Love, Mommy and Daddy

September 19, 2006

9/18/06- Raiden and Alex's party was GREAT... lots of people, lots of preparation, and very exhausting :o) We had about 35 people over... both boys received tons of clothes, toys, and even some money, I think Raiden came out with $32 bucks, what a big baller he is! Alex was all in to his cake but Raiden wasn't as much, he was hesitant at first so I slammed his hand in to the cake which probably didn't help much cause he didn't like how it was all stuck to his fingers hehe... Alex probably ate half of his cake, Raiden on licked his fingers a few times... then crawled to Daddy like 'Help me Daddy ?!?!' I think all those people really pooped him out, he took 2 naps during his party and 30 minutes after it was over, he was passed out on Daddy's lap... his new favorite thing is to just chill with Daddy before bed, It's so cute!

Thanks to everyone that came out to celebrate with us... you all made Raiden and Alex's 1st birthday so memorable, at least for us parents :o)

Raiden's official birthday is tomorrow... and I keep thinking... One year ago today at 6:30pm my water broke... CRAZY how fast time goes by, I keep watching the video of Chis driving me to the hospital, I'm so glad I caught that on video, it was such an exciting day! OOOOH how could I forget... For the past few weeks I have been have very vivid intense dreams, all of which have been horrible, and scary... but last night I FINALLY got the dream I have been praying for every night! It was so clear.... I gave birth (in our swimming pool mind you :o) to another healthy little boy... He was so precious and looked a little like Raiden but I could tell it wasn't Raiden... He weighed 7 1/2lbs and we named him Royce Lee Johnson... It was so weird to have such a vivid dream like that, I never had one with Raiden... so I guess we'll have to weight and see!!

Lots of Love,

9/11/06- So my sister just called me crackin' up :o) Alex was sleeping and she needed to take a bath so she put up the babygate in the hallway so that Raiden could play while she took a bath.. the bathroom door is in the hallway... SOOO, she's got her head dunked under the water rinsing the shampoo out of her hair and all the sudden... PLOP, Raiden climbed over the side of the tub and hopped right in fully clothed HAHA! She said he started cracking up... he thought it was the funniest thing :o)

What a silly boy... he makes us laugh everyday!

I love you Raiden!

9/8/06- 10 weeks preggers today... and Rizzie walked HALF way across the living room tonight!

Thank God It's Friday! Have a nice weekend...

9/7/06- Phew... Things have been crazy busy at work... I'm taking a little break to write a story :o) I had to write, Raiden is starting to walk!!!! His interest in walking really picked up over Labor Day Weekend... I can't say that he is 'walking' yet cause he only takes 3 steps at a time before lunging at me... but he's getting better and better at it! So after work, we play like crazy and practice walking, he is really loving it. He'll be holding on the the couch or something and I'll sit about 3 feet away and say 'Come on Raiden, come see Mama' and he'll get all excited... he let's go of the couch and he'll just stand there smiling and waving his hands all around screaming, then he stomps his little feet towards me until he's close enough that he can just lunge towards me to catch him... then he just laughs and gives me big open mouth baby kisses! It's SOOOO cute! He's so adventurious these days! He loves to move his little rocking chair around the living room, he'll push it up against the couch, climb up on to it, then climb up on to the couch... then he just goes crazy on the couch cause he's so excited he got up there HAHA, then he climbs over the arms of the couches to get th the end tables, then climbs on to the other couch... lil' booger! he actually fell of the end table yesterday but he just smiled :o)

Chris's business is REALLY taking off... I am SOOOO proud of him! He and his partner Herb have been working no stop, they've already been doing bids, and gotten 2 jobs, the first job they completed on Tuesday, and there are TONS more business coming there way, it's so exciting!

As for me... Everything is going fine... besides the fact that I have been extremely emotional lately, which I never was during the last pregnancy. I have been so exhausted and emotional lately it's been bringin' me down a little... which I really hate... I feel bad for my poor husband that has to deal with me :o) I've been told between 6-10 weeks is the worst because of all the hormone changes... and I will be 10 weeks tomorrow, so I'm hoping and praying this phase passes fast... I just hate feeling depressed, I'm not usually like that and I have NOTHING to be depressed about!

My next doc appt is now scheduled for Thursday 9/21, then I'll be scheduling my first ultrasound appt which is simply just to see the heart and verify my due date, which is currently set at April 6th... but we'll see if that changes!

Gotta get back to work! Love you all,

8/30/06- Sooooo much to write about and Sooooo little time!

Were to begin :o) First and foremost... We're having another baby and we are SOOOO friggin' excited! We found out on August 4th (the week before we went to Indy!) and it's been killing me to keep it a secret... soooo a lot of my friends out there in BHP land knew in advance... what can I say, it's too exciting too keep a secret for 12 whole weeks! Today I am 8 weeks and 5 days preggo (not to be exact or anything!), our baby is due around April 6th... Raiden will be 18 months old... are we crazy or what ;o) !!! I went in for my very first doc appt yesterday and everything went very well... not much to report, they weighed me, made me pee in a cup, and took a bunch of blood... fun fun! One thing I was a little bummed about... My midwives office has moved and they are no longer delivering at Highline Hospital where I had Raiden... so I either have to switch to a doctor or follow my midwives to another hospital. I found out that one of my old doctors that I loved delivers at Highline, so I went to see her yesterday. I think I'm going to stick with my doctor and stay at Highline Hospital, but I sure will miss having a midwife, I really loved the experience! I have another doc appt to do the full exam in two weeks, then the next week I'll have my first ultrasound just to look at the heart and confirm my due date. So far this pregnancy has been a breeze... no morning sickness (none with Rizz either), no cramping or bleeding (which I did have with Rizz and it was scary!), really I have just been super exhausted and tired... getting up at 4:30am, working all day, and coming home to my crazy kid and a messy house... it's been wearing me down, hopefully after the first trimester I'll get some energy back! I really look forward to growing a belly again, I absolutely loved being pregnant with Raiden and love the feeling of him moving around inside of me... and I can't wait to feel that again! More updates on the our new bundle to come!

Last Tuesday was my 26th birthday and my family sure did make me feel special! When I got home from work I gave my baby boy a kiss and Chris told me to put him down and go take a bath... so I did :o) When I came out my Mother In Law Penny was there... She pulled a small box and said 'This are for you because you are very special to me and I love you so much'.... of course I started to cry, that was so nice of her! I opened the little box and found a beautiful set of drop down diamond earrings... they are gorgeous! Then she pulls out another little box and says 'This is for you because you are such a wonderful Mother'... so here I go crying again :o) I open the second little box and it's the cutest little necklace, a heart pendant with a Mother on one side and a baby on the other with a diamond in the middle... It is so adorable and it means the world to me... I haven't take either the necklace or the earrings off since! She stayed over for a while so that Chris and I could go out together alone... he took me to the Olive Garden which is my favorite :o) and we had a fantastic dinner! After that we went back home and my Father In Law had shown up... they had put out a bunch of birthday decorations and a cheese cake... YUMMY! Then Chris handed me a gift from him and Raiden... it was an awesome little digital camcorder! I haven't wanted one forever, and I've already started making a video of all the fun we have with Raiden! Penny then hands me a card.. which had a $100 gift card to Serenity Day Spa were I get my hair done... how cool is that!

The weekend before my birthday we had a big BBQ, about 25 people came over and boy was our house jam packed... but it was so nice to see all of our family and friends! My parents showed up with a big 'o present for me... a new microwave which we REALLY needed, so I was super happy, it's even stainless steel to match all of our other kitchen appliances! This was the day we decided to break the 'Big News' to everyone... So I bought Raiden a cute little shirt on ebay that said 'I'm gonna be the Big Brother'... everyone was so happy and excited for us.... I'll post a bunch of pictures later... I know I've been slackin... or tired :o)

I can't believe Raidens birthday is less then a month away! We are having a party for both Raiden and Alex on Saturday 8/16, it should be a lot of fun! Raiden is doing wonderful as usual... He's has 6 teeth now and I love his toofie little grin :o) He is a real busy bee these days getting into absolutely everything and anything! He's not walking yet which is kinda surprising me... he took a few steps about a month ago, he walks along everything, he'll stand up and just stand there, and he loves to walk around with his little pushy toy... so I guess he'll take off on his own time :o) Oh... and how could I forget the cutest thing... He has been REALLY attached to Chris lately, they are the best of buds... which they always have been but you makes it really obvious that he does not like his Daddy to leave! They are always playing and wrestling around on the floor :o) Chris just loves this age, they are pretty much inseparable now!

Okay well, I've taken up my entire lunch break to write this long winded story HAHA... I gotta get back to it...

Take Care and I'll be adding lots of good new pictures as soon as I find some time!

8/20/06- FINALLY... I've found a few minutes to myself - Wahoooo! I've been dying to write about our trip to Indiana, we had SUCH a wonderful time! Everyone keeps asking if it was weird and I'm like 'Not even a little'... it was great, just like visiting an old friend :o) The trip got off to a pretty rough start though... of course the day we leave is the day terrorist start to act up and they move the code up to 'RED', UGH, the security line was 5 HOURS long... I was so bummed there was NO way I was going to make my flight, so I went back to the desk to find out how I get my bag back that I had already checked. Well I must have asked the right lady cause she gave me a GREAT tip... she told me to go over to the first class line and explain the situation, as soon as I walked up I started telling them the situation and they just said 'Can I see your ticket please?' they let Raiden and I go right though! Phew, that was such a relief! I was stressing over the flight ever since I planned the trip, and boy was I amazed at what an good little boy he was! We sat in between a grandma and a nanny, and of course they were loving all over Raiden, he made some good friends on the flight :o) By the time we got to Chicago and drove 2.5 hours back to Theresa's house it was 2 o'clock in the morning , so we hit the sheets right away... it was a LONG day! I finally got to meet Laylabug on Friday morning... what a little doll she is!! Of course I knew that she was going to be but OH MY GOODNESS... I wanted to take her home! Raiden and Layla got a long GREAT... Rizz was a little 'jet-legged' the whole time we were there which was a bummer, but he still had a good time. On Friday Eric and Theresa bought a beautiful chunk of land to build on... It's so perfect, I could only dream of buying something like that... so I watched the babies for a little bit while they took care of business. After that we all went up to the Tracker Pull. Theresa's brother in law has a tracker... and he pulls HAHA... I know it sounds kinda funny to anyone that has never seen a Tracker Pull but it was real fun, especially when you have someone in the family to root for... Eric's whole family was there and everyone was so nice and welcoming! I was so impressed that everyone knew who we were, and I heard a lot of 'Wow, Raiden's hair sure has gotten light'.. so I know they all must have seen lots of pictures :o) It was really cool!

Saturday 8/12 was Theresa's 27th birthday... I'm pretty sure she had a good one! We went shopping (favorite thing to do :o) on Saturday and spent a good 3 hours at the mall, it was just one of those good shopping trips... Theresa got a really cute dress to wear out for her birthday, and I found a necklace at Kohls that I've been wanting for a long time. Theresa really liked the necklace too, so I bought her one for her birthday :o) Later one we went out to dinner with a bunch of there family and friends... once again everyone was awesome. After dinner Theresa's parent and her cousin Jennifer watched the babies for us so we could have a night out on the town. We went to 3 different bars...mingled and laughed and had a great time out... and the babies were so good while we were gone :o)

Sunday we tried to do some relaxing. Raiden really wasn't feeling good on Sunday, he was all congested and tired, I felt so bad for him... poor baby! Eric and Theresa took me on a little tour of Purdue, which is the college Theresa went to. It was a really nice campus, I could really tell that Theresa had a lot of good memories there. Besides that we just stayed home and played with the babies all day on Sunday, I was so nice, like I said before, it was just like hangin' out with an old friend... just a nice relaxing weekend away from home.

Theresa, Thank you so much for everything!! You and Eric were both great hosts and made us very comfortable in your home. You are truly blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family... I feel so lucky to have you as my friend and I can't WAIT for you to come and visit next year!

8/09/06- Gosh, I've been wanted to write a story forever... just haven't been able to find the time! Chris and I celebrated our 2nd annivary on July 31st (it'll be 6 years together on 8/11!), we had such a nice weekend! We went up to our friends (Will and Jan's) cabin again... they let us stay an extra night all by ourself... it was soooo nice! They also had there 'Peps' group up for the day, it's a group of new parents that get together for support and just to share there experiences, everyone was so nice, and I just loved all the babies :o) It was fun to have  a bunch of 9 and 10 month olds all in one room!

Raiden is doing GREAT! He is getting SO smart... and SKINNY! Almost all of his baby rolls are gone now, just one little roll left on his  inner thigh :o( His upper teeth are starting to come in too! We are starting to plan is 1st birthday BBQ, it's set for September 16th, so safe the date friends!

Daddy went up to Alaska last weekend to fish with Javier, and Lisa and there 4 year old son Dominic came down to stay with me. We went down to Seattle Center and had lots of fun going on the rides and just hangin' out! I have one of the sweetest friends ever! Lisa brought along a new purse that she had bought and I just LOVED it and kept telling her that I was going to go buy one! Well she left to go back home on Sunday, and Chris came on home Monday... He starts unpacking his bag and says 'Oh, I have something for you'... It was Lisa's purse! Lisa went home, emptied her purse, and sent it home with Chris for me! Can you believe that? That girl would REALLY give me the shirt off her back... I LOVE YOU LISA!

In other exciting news... Raiden and I leave for Indiana tomorrow to visit Theresa and Layla!!! FINALLY... seems like we've been waiting forever! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of Raiden and Layla, and of course of us Mommy's together as well! Oh I can't wait... I'm sure you all will hear all about our trip in my next story!

Until then...

Terresa

7/12/06 - TWO stories in TWO days... GO ME!!!! Raiden has been going through so many changes lately! First of all... He is getting SKINNY! Almost all of his baby rolls are gone, accept for one roll on each thigh :o( I sure am gonna miss all that baby chub! He is moving around like crazy and we think he'll be walkin' in no time. He loves to 'run' crawl, stand up, walk along everything, he will even let go and take a step to grab on to something else.... yesterday he let go of a toy and just stood there like he wasn't sure what to do, it was really cute :o) His appetite has also been changing... He is now down to about 3 bottles a day (usually 7oz but he often doesn't finish them) and he eats 2-3 stage 3 jars of gerber baby food everyday, plus snacks and juices/water in between. We've also been feeding him bites of whatever we are eating, so far he has taken a liking to clam chowder, all types of melons, soups, mashed potatoes, and pretty much everything else that he has tried... OH, accept for popsicles, he keeps biting down with his two front teeth, the expression on his face is priceless... now he just turns his head and wont even try it!

He's also been introducing all kinds of new sounds and words to his vocabulary. He says Mama, Dada, Baba, and he also tries to say Doggy and Kitty when he see's them... but it sounds more like 'Do-ie' and 'Ki-ie'... it's so cute! I know that a lot of times it's just sounds coming out of his mouth, but you can really tell when he looks at me and says Mama, or looks at Chris and says Dada, that he does know what he's saying... I think it's SOOO cute when he see's the our dog Girl and says 'do-ie'.... he's so smart!

It's hard to believe his first birthday is just 2 1/2 months away... My little boy is growing up so fast :o( We are planning on having Alex and Raiden's 1st birthday together at our house... it'll be fun to plan! Details coming soon :o)

Terresa

7/10/06- Boy, I have been trying to get around to writing a new story, but we've been so busy having fun! We've been out and about for the past few weekends and have kicked off our summer with so much fun! Two weekends ago we went down to Craig and Kelli's annual Weekend BBQ Bash.... they live on a huge chunk of land, so Chris was out riding on his new toy (his quad) pretty much the whole time. I got on it a couple of times, but I only had flip flops with me so it was kinda hard to shift... still, it was lots of fun! Raiden was the life of the party as usual being his happy, playful, silly self... everyone was just in love with him. We stopped at Wal-Mart and bought him a little pool to take along, he really didn't like the cold water but he warmed up to it and played for a while. Then last weekend we went to William and Janica's cabin on Widbey Island..... OOOOOH, We had soooo much fun there!! The cabin is right on the lake, and they have a private dock, paddles boats, and tons of other fun water toys... The nice thing about the lake is that it was really clean and WARM. It was such a fun and relaxing weekend, I sure hope they invite us back :o) Oh and how could I have forgotten, we got our first taste of a real fussy baby too... Raiden just would not let us put him down for bed (or naps) without screaming his head off! He is usually such an easy going baby and will usually  play in his crib or just hang out in there until he falls asleep, well maybe the new place threw him off a little, cause he screamed his little head off for a LONG time... finally we just started staying in the room with him until he fell a sleep.... let's hope we don't have to go through that again, it was a bit stressful. William and Janica have an adorable 8 month old daughter named Gracie. She and Raiden had fun playing together, but she made Raiden look like a real sissy boy when the got in to the pool.... notice how Raiden is sitting OUTSIDE of the pool in all the pictures... well that's because he freaked out when I put him in the cold water, shivering and crying, I guess he really doesn't like cold water cause at home when I put warm water in the pool he'll play in it for hours!

Oh..... BIG NEWS... Raiden and I are going to Indiana to meet Theresa and Layla in ONE month from today! Most of you all know the story of Theresa and I but I'm gonna tell it again to fill you all in :o) It all started on a website called babycenter.com, on that site I found a support group for Sept '05 Babies, it was a great resource for me to ask questions, meet other expected Mommy's, and just get a chance to hear what other Mommy's to be were going through. Well one day I ran across a thread and noticed one of Theresa's posts (probably noticed it cause of her name :o) and I saw that she and I had the same due dates, 9/27. On the Sept '05 message board they had what was called 'due date buddies'... so I responded to her post just saying if 'you're ever up to chat email me'... thinking maybe we could be 'due date buddies'. Well sure enough, I got an email... and ever since then we have never stopped emailing, chatting, talking.... I probably talk to Theresa more then I talk to any of my friends, even the ones that live 2 miles from me! Theresa is such an amazing person and I feel so lucky to have her as a friend... and I sure can't wait to meet her and my favorite little girl Layla too!

More to come...

Terresa

6/22/06- Just a little update... Raiden had his 9 month check up yesterday! Our chunky monkey is up to a whooping 25lbs 2oz and he is 30 inches long... he is in the 95th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. Luckily there are no shots at 9 months... just a little poke on the finger, so I was happy about that! Other then that, everything is going great. Write more later...

6/19/06- I sure have been slackin' lately! I feel so bad that I haven't written a story in over a month... I've missed a bunch of exciting milestones! First of all... Raiden is 9 months old today..... Happy 9 months baby boy! Wow, it's hard to believe that I will be planning his 1st birthday party in just a couple of months! So let's see..... what have I missed? Right after he turned 8 months his 2 front teeth popped in :o) They are SO CUTE, I posted a few pictures so you all can see! Teething hasn't been much of a problem for Raiden, his teeth actually don't seem to be bothering him at all, not even when the were coming in.... so hopefully the rest of his teeth come in as easy for him! Raiden is also a super fast crawler these days, and he loves to pull up and walk along everything... he has even taken a couple of steps by himself in between grabbing different things to hold on too, it's only a matter of time before he's running around our house!

Awww poo... I have to get going for right now... but I will be sure to post more later....

5/15/06- I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day like I did... boy do I feel loved :o) It was a busy weekend but we had a great time. We went to 'Mommy and Me at the Zoo' with my sister and nephews on Saturday and it was a lot of fun! It was the first trip to the zoo for Alex and Raiden, they both were just fascinated with all the animals, especially the aquarium :o) It was really packed which kinda made it hard to get the strollers around, next time we are going to bring our backpack for sure! Mother's Day was absolutely perfect.... It was SOOO nice outside, 78 degree's (which is super nice here!) Chris bought everything I needed to start my own vegetable garden.... how cool is that! I've never had my own garden before :o) so we spent a couple of hours outside in the sun making a veggie garden box in our back yard, so far I have 4 different tomato plants, now I want to go get more veggie plants! We also worked in the yard a bit, everything is starting to look so nice! PLUS.... last week Chris let me splurge a bit on myself... I got my hair done AND I started tanning, I can't wait to be tan again... Yipee, I'm FINALLY starting to feel like my old self again :o) My sister said to me "I liked your long boring hair because you looked like a Mom, now you have 'hotness' again" HAHAHAHA, I thought that was so funny!

Okay, enough about me ;o) Last night we went over to my Aunt Terresa's house for Mother's Day dinner... it was nice to see all of my cousins! My cousin Gregg's girlfriend Jennifer just had a baby boy on May 1st, they named him Gregg Jr.... he is just so precious! My cousin Sarah (Gregg's sister) is pregnant with a boy too... She's due on Sept 2nd, his name will be Braidon... kinda like Raiden... I like that name ;o) So within one year Gregg, Sarah, my sis Misty, and Me all will have BOYS..... will any of us ever have a girl???? Maybe one day ;o) but I'm having so much fun with my little man I think I want another one!

Oh I almost forgot... My new friend Laura had her baby this weekend! CONGRATULATIONS TO ROD AND LAURA! I'm helping Laura with her new baby website, I'll be making a link for my front page shortly, but in the mean time, check out Lil' Rodney Jr.'s website!

Lots of Love,

Terresa

5/12/06- Hiya! I hope everyone out there in baby home page land is doing well :o) Work has been keeping me busy lately and of course Chris and Raiden keep me busy after work, so I just haven't had much time to play online.... I figured I'd better write a store real soon before I forget all cool new stuff Raiden is doing... I just can't keep up with him! He is doing wonderfully as usual... he is super mobile these days... He is just a big ball of happy baby energy :o) If I put him on the floor he'll bend down into a crawling position and off he goes... he gets fed up with crawling really fast, so he'll lay down and start rolling... and rolling... and rolling... like the energizer bunny, he doesn't stop until something gets in his way! Then he'll back is booty up and sit up, pull up on the couch or really anything close by, it's just so fun to watch him, he is too smart for his own good! He is teething lots right now... which can be hard at times but for the most part he's still happy. One of his bottom teeth poked through his gums last week... and the next day IT WAS GONE! Funny how that happens, but when you rub across his gums they are very lumpy and you can feel the teeth pushing through, so I think that we will have a few little teeth in no time!

Daddy's 28th birthday was on Monday May 8th, WOW we are really gettin' old HAHA! He had a really nice day, we went out for dinner and I got him a new stereo system and speakers for his truck :o) other then that we have just been working in the yard and playing with Raiden :o)

Wishing all the Mommy's out there a wonderful Mother's Day!

Terresa

4/26/06- Okay... I don't have much time but I thought I'd better get at least one story this month HAHA! Raiden is 7 months old now and doing GREAT... This little boy is really getting around... but you know what is funny.... he started crawling a couple of weeks ago, up on all fours, one foot after the other and everything... then all the sudden, he STOPPED! Silly boy... he rolls his little butt around everywhere... and he's REALLY fast now too so I hardly have time to catch up with him! Oh well, I guess he'll start crawling again when he gets bored with rolling :o) he's a real talker these days too, He says Mama ALL the time, and I always get warm fuzzies in my tummy when he says it :o) He also like to babble random stuff like babababbbbababab or mammmammam, or abda abda bbuba... HAHA it's so cute! I think Raiden is starting to teeth, he's been a little cranky lately, and whenever I give him baby oragel or the teething tablets he calms down right away, plus I can see some white through his gums... so maybe they'll be popping out soon!

Chris and I have been busy working in the yard.... Can you believe this is the first time I've really worked in my yard? I've lived in my house for 3 years, what a lazy butt I am! Anyways, I really want to learn how to garden... so we pulled out all the old shrubs, plants, bushes, flowers... and spent a pretty penny at the plant nursery.... I've been having so much fun and our yard is looking a lot better! Raiden love to hang out outside... we put him in his pack n play and he'll sit in there and play and talk, and look at the cats and dogs walk by :o) as long as he can see us that is.. if he can't see us he lets us know!

That's it for now...

Terresa

3/29/06- Oh My Goodness... My son is SOOOO funny! My sister just called me at work.... Raiden is playing in the exersaucer, he loves to jump around in it, I swear he's gonna tip that thing over! Anyways, She noticed that he was being really quiet so she went to checked up on him... he was standing up in the exersaucer sleeping... then he woke up and started jumping up and down all crazy... then he nodded off again.... and he did it over and over again! She grabbed her digicam and caught it on video... I can't wait to see it... I'll be sure to post it too!

I can't beleive how much Raiden has learned in just in a matter of weeks! Yesterday he was playing on the floor in the livingroom and I left the room for maybe a minute... when I came back he was all the way across the room, between the couches, half way under the table! He's also been getting up on all fours, then he'll try to crawl but he just ends up pushing himself backwards HAHA!

Raiden is the BEST son ever... he makes me smile even when I'm not with him :o)

Terresa

3/24/06- What a crazy week it's been.... I don't even know where to begin..... So last Friday night Raiden seemed to be feeling just fine, his cold was almost gone and his coughing had gotten much better. My nephews Issac and Aaron really wanted to go camping, Aaron had the flu on Thursday so they weren't going to come but he felt better so we all decided to go..... BAD IDEA! Our new trailer was SOOO much fun, we got to the beach (went to Ocean Shores) at 9:30am on Saturday morning, unloaded everything, went for a long walk on the beach, we were all having a really good time... Until Issac comes up with the ucky stomach bug and got sick all over our kitchen area in the trailer..... Eeeeewwww! Well we didn't want Issac to be getting sick in the trailer all weekend so we packed EVERYTHING back up and headed home.... Thank goodness we came home because on Sunday Raiden caught their nasty little flu bug... POOR BABY, I've never seem him so limp and lifeless before, and it was the first time that he really got sick, not the normal baby spit up.... By Monday morning he was back to his happy little self again.... Thank God!

Then there was Alex.... He has definitely seen better days! He's been in the NICU all week with bronchitis, his lungs were only work at 60% and his chest of caving in when he breathed in.... and all of this is after he had been sick with a really bad cold for like 2 weeks. I finally got to go pick him and my sister up yesterday, he's feeling better now but you can tell he's still really congested, at least now he is smiling and playing, so things are looking up.

OH, I almost forgot... Raiden went in for his 6th month check up! He weighs 20lbs 12oz (90% percentile) and he is 27 inches long (75th percentile)... His pediatrician says he looks really great :o) no ear infections or congestion at all! He did have to get another 4 vaccination shots.... he handled it really well this time around, he cried after the initial shock but I picked him up right away and he just looked at the nurse like 'How Dare You' :o)

Well, I hope all my sick friends out there start feeling better soon... things are looking up for all of us!

Have a nice weekend!

Terresa

3/17/06- My poor little man is sick! He's all congested, and coughs so hard he makes himself sick... it's soooo sad! We took him to JC Penneys last night to get his 6 month pictures done, we got a couple of good pictures in between wiping away his tears from coughing so hard.... I felt so bad for even taking him, I hope he get's better soon.

We had planned to take our new travel trailer out camping for the first time this weekend but we're gonna have to wait... it's probably best that we just keep our little man in the house this weekend....

Take Care,

Terresa

3/15/06 - So I've kindly been told (~KIMI~) that I need to do a better job at updating my stories! Can you all believe that Raiden is almost 6 months old already?? That just blows me away! I've scheduled his 6 month check up for next Monday and I also made an appointment at the Picture People to have his 6 month pictures professionally done, YaY, I can't wait to see them! Raiden is doing great, he's such a little busy bee.... I swear we can't keep him in one spot anymore! My sister said that yesterday Raiden was sitting in his carseat after being dropped off, she went into the kitchen to make her son a bottle and when she came back Raiden was sitting up in front of the carseat watching Spongebob!!! OMG he is one sneaky little booger let me tell ya, we have to be really careful with him on the bed, bathroom counter, and on his changing table now!

Chris says school is going well but he just can't wait to get things started with the business! His class is only one quarter long so hopefully within a few months we'll be able to get this business off the ground. I've finally adjusted to being back to work... even though I still miss my little man so much during the day. I recently started a new project at work, I've temporarily been re-assign as a Project Manager, hopefully my hard work and determination will land me the position for good (Is my boss reading this? I'm not sucking up I swear!) It is a bit more stressful than my regular job, but I"m always up for a good challenge!

Oh, Chris and I bought our new travel trailer this weekend! It is SOOOO nice, like a brand new home on wheels! It has a separate bedroom, dinette, couch/living area, and a HUGE bathroom which is very important to me when I'm camping! We plan on going camping next weekend... but all three of us are showing signs of a cold so we'll have to wait and see how we feel later in the week.

Well that's all for now... talk to you all soon... Take Care!

Terresa

3/01/06 - It's March already! Things have been so busy lately.... the days just keep flying by! Grandma Penny has been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks. She got an infection in her leg which ended up being pretty bad, she's already had 3 surgeries and will now has a foot long scare down her calf. She's feeling better now and hopefully she'll be home soon... she misses Raiden SOOO much, we went to the hospital to visit her and all of the nurses knew who we were cause they've all seen tons of pictures of Raiden! My Sissy Misty has been watching Raiden for us during the week, Chris and I are so grateful that Raiden get's to spend time with his Aunt Misty and Cousin Alex, we really didn't want to put him in day care... Grandma Penny can't wait to get better so that she can resume her roll as Raiden's babysitter during the week.

Oh here's some exciting news, Chris started school last week! Essentially he is studying to become an engineer, he plans on starting his own fire protection company in about 6 months, he's worked in the field for over 8 years now and has wanted to do this for a long time now.... I'll keep you all posted on how things go!

Raiden is doing great, he's becoming such a vivacious little boy! He's officially sitting up without having to lean onto his belly :o) My sister said that the other day Raiden and Alex sat on the floor for like 20 minutes playing together without falling over... SOO COOL! I hate when I miss moments like that, but luckily my sister is there to tell me every little detail! Misty's 28th birthday is this Sunday March 5th, she and I are gonna go out for the FIRST time since the babies were born... Chris is gonna watch both Raiden and Alex and be the designated driver :o) he is such a good Daddy and Uncle!

That's all for now folks... I hope you all have a great day!

Love, Terresa

2/13/06- My little boy is growing up SOOO fast! It's hard to believe he'll be 5 months in less than a week... his personality is really starting to shine! He's a very outgoing baby boy and curious about anything that's put in front of him. He wants to know what everything is and if he can reach it, it goes directly into his mouth :o) He's starting to sit up for longer periods of time now, and he even stood up while holding onto a toy too! OH he is just SOOO much fun, I miss him terribly while I'm at work! I miss the morning time when he wakes up the most... he's just so happy and playful in the morning. When he wakes up he just lays there looking around, plays with his hands.... I'll hear him moving around (sleeps in his co-sleeper next to our bed) so I'll peak over and as soon as he sees me he starts smilin' and talkin'... I love him SO much, he brightens my day first thing!

Love, Terresa

02/08/06- Oooooh... I'm SOOO excited! Our friends John and Erin welcomed there son Jack in to the world on February 6th. He weighs in at 8lbs 7.9oz and he is 21 inches long!

Congratulations guys... I can't wait to see pictures... and meet Jack in person! I bet Megan is a proud big sister!

Lots of Love,

Chris, Terresa, and Raiden

1/31/05- Can you believe January is already over?? Crazy how fast time has been flying by! Well, After having the pleasure of being a Stay-At-Home Daddy for two weeks, Chris has officially returned to work! His back is still bothering him a little so his doctor is going to see how work treats him for the next month, then they will decide what the next step is. With that said, Grandma Penny has assumed her new position as the BEST Babysitting Grandma EVER... she'll be watching Raiden at our house everyday.... we don't even have to bring him to her! Chris and I are so lucky to have Penny, she helps us out in so many ways... and of course Raiden is SUPER lucky, he gets to stay home and play with someone who loves him all day long!

The Super Bowl is on this coming Sunday! I usually watch the game just to see the new commercials... this time I'm actually gonna be watching and rooting!

Go Seahawks!

Terresa

1/23/06- What an exciting weekend! First off... GO SEAHAWKS!!!! I can't believe the Hawks actually made it to the Super Bowl.... the entire city is going crazy! We might have to ask Grandma Penny to babysit for the game so we can party!

Raiden had his 4 month check up appt on Saturday... Our BIG boy weighs 18lbs 9oz (97th percentile) and he is 26 inches long (95th percentile)! His doctor said he's perfectly healthy and right on track. He also had another 4 vaccination shots, poor little guy didn't like that much but he forgot about it pretty quickly. Oh, on Friday night Raiden decided it was time to start rollin' over! I put him on the floor and left the room for just a minute, when I came back he had rolled over... so I MISSED IT! Oh well, Ever since that first time I can't seem to keep him on his back... he rolled over on the bathroom counter while I was blow drying his hair, he rolled over on the doctors table, he's a rollin' fool now! Oh my goodness, I just can't believe how much he changes in just a matter of days, he's so aware of everything around him now, he plays with all his toys, he talks to us, he laughs and smiles for no reason, it's just so much fun to watch him grow... I feel like I can't blink without missing something!

Chris went back to the doc on Friday, they extended his time off work by another week, so he's being a Stay-At-Home Dad again this week... he'll have another appt before he officially goes back.

Lisa came down to visit as well. She went to Raiden's appt with me, then we went to the mall to get her some new glasses and to shop for Raiden. He seriously had 4 pairs of pajamas that fit him, no outfits AT ALL! He has outgrown all of is 6-9 month clothes, all of the clothes that I bought him are 12 months and they ALL fit now, some are a little baggy so hopefully they'll fit for awhile!

Okay well.... I'd better get going for now! I'm doing a pretty good job at updating, huh?

~Lots of Love~

Terresa

1/20/06- I FINALLY updated the pictures!! I posted 5 new pages, the rest of his 3 months pictures (well at least a few out of the 500 I have!), now I have to go through all of the new 4 months pictures... more coming soon!

T.G.I.F

1/19/06 - My baby boy is 4 months old today.... WOW, it just blows my mind how fast he's growing up! He's really becoming a little chunk these days, I have tons of pix to add so hopefully I'll get some time within the next few days. We have a busy weekend planned coming up. Lisa is coming down from Alaska on Friday night, we can't wait to see her! We're gonna do some shopping and catch up on everything that's been going on since we last saw each other. Raiden also has his 4 month check up appointment on Saturday morning, I can't wait to see how much he weighs! Lisa is leaving on Sunday and we're gonna head up to some friends house to watch the Seahawks WIN.... Woo Hoo, we're going to the Super Bowl baby!!! If we have time I want to take Raiden to the 'Picture People' to get his pictures done, as if I don't take enough pictures as it is :o)

I'm still adjusting to work... this week has been a little rough and it's only my 3rd day back! It's hard to get up at 4am after sleeping only a few hours, work all day, then come home and only have about 4 hours to spend with Chris and Raiden... I will definitely be loving my weekends even more now! When I got home yesterday Daddy was SOO happy to see me, Raiden was being a 'PILL' all day long, just fussing and wanting to be held all day which is very out of character for him. Once I got home he feed for about 30min minutes then was all smiles.... like he usually is. He's warming up to the bottle a little bit, but he's only been eating about 3oz for the entire time I'm gone... yesterday Chris feed him some carrots and apple sauce to help fill him up until I got home... I'm sure he'll adjust after a few more days.

I hope you all have a nice weekend!

Terresa

1/17/06- Okay, I'm a big time slacker... I KNOW! Oh boy, so much time has passed since I last wrote I don't really know where to begin! Let's go WAY back.... Raiden's first Christmas was so much fun! Of course he was spoiled by everyone, he got a ton of clothes (most of which already don't fit!), baby toys, an exersaucer.... he even got a bunch of stuff he wont be able to use for a few years like a basketball hoop, fishing pole, toy BB gun... I'm gonna need to find some more storage room just for all of Raidens things! New Years was fun as always, we rang in the New Year at home... in bed... like usual... :o)

Oh My Goodness... Raiden is getting SOOO big I just can't believe all of the new things he's doing! He loves loves loves to talk to anyone that will listen, he's been kicking away, playing with his toys, drooling like crazy, grabbing his feet, he's rolled from his tummy to his back a few times but just can't seem to get all the way from his back to his tummy yet (give him a couple more days :o), and I swear he's been reaching out to Daddy and I to pick him up for the past couple of days! Raiden has his 4 month check up appt on Saturday morning, I'm so curious to see how much he weighs, I'm guessing he's over 18lbs by now, we'll see if I'm right! I have a ton of short video clips I've taken, once I upload them online I'll make sure to share them with you all!

It's official everyone... I'm back to work! It's amazing to me that I had a whole 4 months off work and it's already over!!! My first day back was on Friday, Jan 13th. I'm still getting use to the idea of being away from my precious little boy everyday... it's so hard! I miss him terribly and today is only my second day away from him! Chris is still off work so he's taking care of Raiden right now, eventually Grandma Penny will be watching him at our house everyday, that really makes me happy! He still isn't fond of drinking Mommy's milk from a bottle yet, on Friday he ate only 3oz the whole day I was gone... when I got home he nursed forever! Of course I didn't mind, I missed him so much and I love having him all to myself as soon as I get home!

Chris is doing good! He has another check up doc appt today, he's been going to physical therapy for a couple of weeks now, some times it seems like his back hurts more after the therapy so he's gonna mention that to is doctor. As of right now he has a return to work date of January 23rd, but that might change.

What else is going on?? I've had serious issues with my hair over the past month (Lisa, where were you?? :o) Right before Christmas I decided to dye my hair a dark mohageny brown but that didn't work out so well... it ended up very blotchy, some spots were still kinda blonde but it all looked really brassy. So then on New Years Eve I had my girlfriends over and we decided to try again... this time with a medium brown and we used two bottles to make sure all my hair was saturated..... that turned my hair a nice brown with GREEN highlights!!! OMG it looked really bad! I broke down this weekend and finally got my hair professionally done, they had to do a color restiration which basically bleached out all the bad color I had put through my hair, then I got a EVEN medium brown with blonde highlights! It looks SOO much better, from now on I think I'm just gonna go in and get my highlights touched up.... I've learned my lesson!

Hmmm... what else? Oh yeah, I got a really cool new scrapbooking program, I'm sure you all have noticed... I've been having a lot of fun playing around with it! I have a ton of pictures to add to the website and few other things I want to do to it... I'm still learning all the codes and things to make the website cool... hopefully I'll have more time to play around with it now. Hey Ash.... Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

Okay, so seriously this time... I'm gonna do a better job at updating the website! Now that I'm back to work, I can update things during my breaks which is a lot easier then doing it at home...

Love you all!

Terresa

Lisa, How are you?? I emailed you last week but haven't heard back yet! Chris, Raiden, and I can't wait to see you guys!

1/1/06- NEW YEARS RESOLUTION: UPDATE RAIDENS WEBSITE MORE OFTEN!

12/12/05- Oh my goodness, I've really been bad at updating the website lately.... I just haven't had much time on the computer. Raiden is doing great, his personality is coming out more and more everyday, and he's awake for a lot of the day now. Over the past couple of weeks he's started kicking and grabbing at his toys :) and he loves to have conversations with us, he'll sit in his bouncy chair and just talk away, it's so cute!. Last week he started teething, it's hard to believe he's teething at 2.5 months! I feel like I only got to have a little tiny baby for the first couple of weeks, and now he's just so big! He's been a little fussy lately because his gums are hurting, but with a little baby tylenol and baby oragel he falls fast asleep and forgets all about it.

Chris is feeling so much better these days, his back is healing a lot faster then he expected. he and I actually went to the gym yesterday for the FIRST time since Raiden has arrived.... so now that we've started we have to go at least every other day. It sure will be be nice to get rid of this baby chub I still have hangin around :)

Other then that we've just been getting ready for Christmas. I'm going to try really hard at keeping the website updated!

Terresa

11/22/05- Wow, I haven't written in a LONG time, I've been really busy the past couple of weeks. Chris had his back surgery last Tuesday, he's starting to feel a little better but he's still really sore. He's been in bed pretty much for the past week, he's not suppose to sit or stand for more than 20 minutes at a time, he learned his lesson and swelled up a couple of times. I've been super woman for the past week taking care of both Raiden and Chris, cooking, and cleaning, and doing pretty much everything that needs to be done, I have to say I am feeling a little worn down now but I'd do it forever for these two guys I Love You Wink. My Mother-In-Law Penny has been a huge help lately, we're lucky to have her! The day before Chris's surgery she took us to go shopping for Raiden. She said she was going to buy him an outfit for Christmas but once we got to Toys R Us she ended up buying him everything in the store! She got him tons of clothes (he's already wearing 3-6 months!), a cool playmat, a bunch of toys, and a really cool exersaucer for Christmas.  Raiden is lucky to have her as a Grandma, not because she spoils him Brows but because she LOVES him SOOO muchHearts!

Raiden had his 2 month check up yesterday... he weighs 14lbs 3oz (the size of a 4 month old!) and he's 23.5 inches long. He's in the 95 th percentile in his weight and 70 th percentile in his length. The poor little guy also had 5 vaccination shots, he didn't like that very much. This was the first doc appointment that Chris has missed, he felt bad he could be there.

Raiden had his pictures taken last week, this company comes to your home and sets up a photo studio right in your living room. They are coming back today to show us the photos. It will take a few weeks before we have them but I can't wait to share them with you all, they're going to be soooo cute!

How to you all like the new look of Raiden's website? My friend Ashlee helped me and now I'm gonna pass the info along to some of my other website Mommy friends Spinning Thanks for the help Ashlee!!

Well, I don't have much time for the computer these days... hopefully I'll have more time soon!

I hope you all having a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

11/3/05 - CONGRATULATIONS to our friends William and Janica... They welcomed Grace Anne Rogers into the world yesterday, 11/2/05 at 7:51pm. Gracie is a healthy 7 1/2 lbs and 21 inches long.

We hope to meet you soon Gracie!

You're in for the time of your life guys... HAVE FUN! (I know we are!)

Chris, Terresa, & Raiden

11/2/05- Daddy's home!!! Okay, he's been home for a couple of days now, but we're still happy he's home! Raiden and I hung out with my sister and cousin Alex a lot last weekend, we had fun taking Halloween pictures of both the babies. Raiden's first Halloween was fun, Chris and I brought him to my work for the first time and everyone thought he was so cute, they all just loved his hair. I forgot that I work with SOOO many cool people, even though I don't want to be away from my baby, going back to work in January will be easier knowing that I love my job and the people I work with.

Big news in babyland... Raiden is a bundle of smiles these days, it's all he does (when he's awake that is)... Not only that but he has actually laughed three times now, it's SOOO cute! He's getting so big, I can't wait to go to the doctors to see how much he's grown, his next appt is in a couple of weeks.

Hmmm, what else is going on? Oh, Chris's back surgery has been scheduled for November 15 th. He's a little nervous but it has to be done, he can't wait to be able to do normal everyday things like work, walk or stand for more than 30 min, sleep... you get the point. The poor guy has been in a lot of pain for a long time know, he's ready to get it over and done with!

See ya!

Terresa

Oh yeah, I just found out our friend Janica is in labor! Janica was due on Halloween and her water broke this morning! GOOD LUCK WILLIAM AND JANICA, I can't wait to hear all about Baby Grace!

10/29/05- Daddy left us for the weekend Crying   My Father-In-Law Lonnie was in the hospital last week with an irregular heartbeat, his heart was beating 160bpm even when he was just laying down. Anyways, he's on medication and he's feeling better but Chris and I didn't want him to go bird hunting by himself this weekend so Chris went with.... It's just Mommy and Raiden until Sunday. Daddy's only been gone for about 15 hours and we already miss him so much, I don't know what to do with myself without him! Only one more day.... I'm counting the hours!

GUESS WHAT?? Raiden rolled over last night... not once... not twice... but THREE times! He's getting so big and everyday he's interacting with us more. He's really starting 'cooing' at everything little thing, when Chris and I talk to him he gets all excited and starts squirming around like he has something he wants to say... then out comes a big 'Aaaaaw' or Coooo', it's SOO cute! He is the best baby ever and he's happy all the time, I feel so lucky! For the past two night he's only woken up once to eat, I wish I took advantage and got some sleep myself but I still wake up all night long just to check on him, plus when Chris is gone I don't sleep well anyways.... I'm such a wimp!

Do you all like the new look of the website? I love Raiden's Halloween pictures, he looks so big, I think he looks a lot bigger in his pictures then he is in real life. I want to learn how to make the background a picture of Raiden like Ashlee (Brycen's Mommy) does, maybe she'll send me some clues on how to do it (hint hint Bow Down ).

Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Terresa

(Okay, I just realized that with the new black halloween background you can't read my stories because the words are all black like the background! I just changed the color of this story so you all can see it!)

10/17/05- Hey Everyone, Raiden is 4 weeks old today... I can't believe he's going to be ONE MONTH old in just 2 days!  He's getting so big, it seems like everytime we pick him up he's a pound heavier! He's finally getting over his first cold, but now I feel a little under the weather... oh well, better me then him, right? He's already learning so much stuff, Chris and I get so excited over every little thing he does... like this little 'coo' he makes after every sneeze, everyone is like 'Aaaawww'. He loves to hold his head up and look around bobbling his little head everywhere, and he smiles all the time, but of course only Mommy knows the magic touch to make him get those big goofy grins on his face... I love it! I knew that we would be good parents, but I'm surprised at how natural it has come to both Chris and I.. you'd think that we're old pro's... or maybe it's just that we have such a great little baby that he makes it so easy for us.

Besides having a little cold, I'm feeling really great... almost back to my old self again. I went in for my check up last Monday, in 3 weeks I had lost over 30 lbs already... I was SOOO excited, only a few more pounds to go to be back at my pre-pregnancy weight. Well, kind of... I know I packed on a few before I got pregnant, so I still have a good 15 lbs to lose, I plan on going back to the gym here soon so hopefully the weight will continue to melt away :o)

Chris is still waiting to have his back surgery scheduled... for now, we're just taking it easy and spending time getting to know our precious little boy.

Talk to ya soon,

Terresa

Mom And Baby

10/11/05- I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately, my poor little boy caught Daddy's cold! I feel so bad for him and Daddy feels awful for giving it to him. We noticed yesterday morning that he sounded a little congested so we went out and a Vick's vaporizer and got him some Infant Tylenol. He's had a rough 24 hours, Raiden is usually such an easy going baby so to see him fussy and crying real tears just breaks my heart! We brought him to the pediatricians today just to make sure it wasn't anything more than just a cold, the doc said his lungs sound good, and his throat and ears look good too. She said there's really nothing we can do but comfort him like we have been and let it pass. Poor little guy, he's only 3 weeks old and he's already got a cold, hopefully it will just help build his immune system.

On a happier note he's already a whopping 9lbs 15oz! The ped was so amazed at how fast he's growing... he's starting to get those super cute baby rolls on his arms and legs!

I hope he get's better fast...

Terresa

10/03/05- Wow... I can't believe Raiden is already two weeks old! He's already getting so big and he's so much more alert now... I just can't get enough of him!

Just wanted to say 'HI'...  I hope you all are doing good...

Good Night, Terresa

Crib

9/29/05- It's been a long day today! Raiden usually wakes up a couple of times during the night for some quike eating then falls right back to sleep... well, last night he wanted to stay up and hang out with Mommy for a few hours... then every time he'd nod off to sleep, when I laid him down he's wake back up! I think this no sleep thing is started to catch up with me! I thought it was pretty easy for first week... but now I'm feeling a little drained. I'm gonna start taking naps during the day when Raiden is sleeping.

On Tuesday (9/27, his due date :o) Raiden had our second pediatrician appointment. He has already gained back all of his birth weight plus an ounce... so he's 8lbs 4oz and 21.5 inches long now! He's doing so well that we don't have to go back for a two week appointment, the pediatrician says that appt is just to make sure he's back to his birth weight... so he's doing really good! He also had his circumcision done on Tuesday... I felt bad for the little guy, but he did really well... Daddy was with him the whole time, and he didn't cry once! They gave him two shots of numbing medication, and Daddy says it didn't look like he felt a thing... that made me so happy!

Raiden is so cute... he's getting stronger by the day, holding his held up, crying certain ways to let us what he wants, making goofy faces and smiling all the time. I can hear him waking up right now...  gotta go.

Terresa

9/26/05- Oh, I'm so excited, my friend Theresa gave birth to a baby girl, Layla, today! Congratulations Eric and Theresa... I can't wait to hear about Layla's birth and I really can't wait to see pictures of your preciously little girl. Theresa was my due date buddy (both due 9/27) from Lafayette, IN... we've become good friends over the past 7 months or so, a link to Layla's website is on my front page!

Raiden is one week old today! I can't believe it... he's so much fun, Chris and I just love our little boy so much! Our entire lives revolve around this little boy and we couldn't be happier about it, just listening to the little noises he makes, and funny faces he makes melts my heart!

Nursing is getting a lot easier now and I love having feeding time just for us. Raiden was a little jaundice when we left the hosipital but it's almost gone now... other then that, he's a happy, healthy little boy.

Gotta go take more pictures of Raiden now :o)

Raiden's Grand Entrance

Baby

I'm sorry it's taken me a while to post... I'm sure you can all understand :o) Raiden is doing great, he's the best little baby ever (okay, I know all Mommy's think that!). I wanted to share how our little man made his way into the world! Last Friday was my last day of work, I was going to work another week but decided that I was just getting to tired and anxious to continue working. On Sunday I was kind of in a panic to get everything done before the baby came. We went to Sam's club and bought tons of house hold stuff that I didn't want to have to worry about getting over the next few months, and I cleaned house like a mad lady. Later Sunday night Chris and I went over to Grandma Penny's for a BBQ, Chris's uncle Craig lives right next to Penny. After hanging out for a while at Craig's, I got up to go and see what Penny was up too, as soon as I stepped outside I felt this little tiny 'pop' and I thought I was peeing myself (total disbelief). I got into Penny's and was like 'Umm, I think my water is breaking' right when I said that it starting gushing, I couldn't believe it! Chris came running over from Craig's, we were both so excited we couldn't think straight. My water broke at 6:30pm and we got to the hospital at 7:30pm. After we got to the hospital my contractions picked up immediately, they were SOO close together and very strong. After being at the hospital for a couple of hours, walking around, and doing all the things to help labor progress I asked to be checked (my midwife doesn't check you until you feel it's time to be checked), I was already 4 ½ in just 2 hours... the pain was so intense, not only were the contractions strong and close together, but I was having extremely bad back labor as well. I asked for my epidural right away and didn't feel a thing when they did it because I was already in so much pain. My epi didn't work well, I could still feel every contraction from beginning to end, and they even gave me extra dosages, but it didn't help much. After having the epi for about a half hour I was already 9cm dilated. My midwife was amazed by how fast my labor was progressing, they all thought Raiden would be here in no time, they were wrong! Not much later (lost track of time by now) I was complete but the babys head was still a little high, so we waited a while for him to come down. The midwife had me change positions to get the baby to move done more, when she had me move from my right side to my left his heart rate dropped dramatically. They unhooked my epi and rushed me to the OR, Chris had to put on scrubs and was right behind me. I was so confused and in shock because it was all happening so fast, once we got into the OR his heart rate started to pick back up again, but we stayed there for a while to monitor, luckily his heart rate stabilized and we went back to the delivery room, it was really scary for both Chris and I. At 3am the baby had moved down to a +2 station and we were finally ready to start pushing... so I pushed... and I pushed... and I pushed... for 4 ½ hours, with an epidural that wasn't working, and very bad back labor, I was so exhausted! The doctor and midwife finally decided to do an episiotomy and use the vacuum, at 7:30am, 13 hours after my water broke, I had my precious little boy in my arms!

Chris was so amazing through it all, I don't know how I would have done it without him. He's had bad back problems over the past year and I knew he was in so much pain during my whole labor, but you would have never known. I will never forget the look on his face when he saw his son being born, he's such a proud husband and daddy. I didn't think it was possible to love him more than I did, but it seems like I just keep falling in love with him more and more every day, he's an amazing husband, and daddy.

I will never forget the day I met my son... it will be a day I charish for ever. Chris and I love our baby boy so much, I tear up just thinking about how much he's enriched our lives already.

We love you Raiden!

9/22/05 - Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that we're going great.  Chris and I couldn't me more happy, Raiden is such an amazing little guy, we just can't get enough of him! I posted a ton of pictures, I hope you all enjoy them, it was hard to pick out just a few to post... I've already taken SO many!

Thanks to all of you that have signed the guestbook, it's so nice to read everyone's comments. I'll update (full birth story to come!) soon.

Take Care,

Chris, Terresa, and Raiden

-Hi Theresa! I started writing you another long 'ol email and then got kicked offline! I hope you, Eric, and Noodle are doing good... you're almost there! I can't wait to talk to you soon... Oh yeah, I LOVE your pregnancy pictures, you look so gorgeous!

-Thanks for updating the website for me Kimi, you're the best!

-Hey Ash... Isn't it crazy that Raiden was born on the 19th and is only 1oz bigger then Brycen was? He's already such a great little baby just like Brycen... Talk to ya soon!

-Hi Janica! I can't wait to meet your little girl! Best of luck to you in these last few weeks of pregnancy... there's nothing better then being a Mommy!

09/20/05-

Hello all,

I am Terresa's friend Kimi, she asked me to update the site for her. She will fill ya all in later with the whole birth story but I wanted to let you all know that Baby Johnson has arrived. The happy family will be going home today and hopefully getting some sleep and I'm sure the site will be updated soon with tons of pictures.

Congratulations Johnson family and welcome to the world little Raiden, you are already loved more than you know. Can't wait to meet you!

Hugs, Kimi

9/10/05- Okay, For some reason it's just now hitting me... I could be holding my precious baby boy any day now.... I am SOOOO excited, I can only imagine how cute he's going to be!!! In all reality, this pregnancy has gone by so fast, and has overall been really easy for me, I guess sometimes I just feel like being a baby and complaining. I know that all the swelling, restless nights, and everything else will all seem like nothing once he gets here... I can't wait to tell everyone his name, IT'S KILLING ME! I pinky swore Chris months ago that once we did decide I wouldn't tell... don't worry, you all will know soon!

I had my weekly midwife check up yesterday. Last week they did the Group B Strep test to see if I was a carry of the virus... well, I am. Darnit! One out of five woman test positive for this bacteria, they said it's nothing really to worry about and nothing that will effect me, but if it's passed on to the baby during delivery then he can get sick. So now when I go into labor they will give me antibiotics through an IV to make sure it's not passed on to the baby. Besides that, everything is going great, my belly is measuring 38cm, his heartbeat is in the 140's, and think he's a long baby boy :o) that wouldn't surprise me cause Chris is 6'4, I guess well have to wait and see if they're right!

I also wanted to send a special 'THANKS' to you gals that have signed my guest book and given me the heads up that I've needed, I really appreciate all of the positive comments, you girls make me feel so much better!

Chris is off fishing with his Dad this morning, and I HAVE to get off my butt and clean the house :o) He's been doing so much around here that I want to make the house nice and clean for him to come home and relax in.

Take Care!

Terresa

9/9/05- Update on Misty... She had another doc appt this morning, looks like she's STILL 2cm dilated, nothings changed! Wow, I'm really surprised. I thought for sure she would have had Alex by now! Anyways, they've moved her induction to Sept 20th at 5:30am, that is IF things don't progress before then.

As for me... I've swelled up like a balloon over the past few days.... I no longer have wrists or ankles, my toes and finger look like sausages, and I can't wear my wedding ring anymore Crying   Oh well, It will all be worth it in the end!

Hope you all have a nice weekend... I'm going to relax!

Terresa

9/7/05- Hey Everyone! Just thought I should write so you all don't sit around wondering if I had a baby Smile  Not much news to report... My sister has not gone into active labor yet... and I don't think I'm even close... UGH! I'm so anxious to meet my baby boy, and I'm getting more and more uncomfortable as the days pass... I don't think my belly can stretch anymore! Besides all of the normal aches and pains... I can't really complain, everything is going well. We are as ready as we will ever be, so now we just sit and wait Smile  Well, There are still a few things to be done around the house... Chris and I have been cleaning the carpets, cleaning out closets, all the stuff that we've put off for the longest time. Last weekend we went out and bought new furniture... Woo Hoo, we were in desperate need of some new furniture, our old torn fake pleather sectional just wasn't cutting it anymore! Chris got to bring home his new recliner the same day and boy is he happy... FINALLY, I don't have to listen to him talk about having no comfortable place to sit in the house. We get the couch and loveseat some day this week, they'll call when it get's to the warehouse... it's by Ashley, it's olive green microfiber (recliner is mocha) and both the love seat and couch are recliners, so we'll have a total of 5 recliners in our living room! We'll have to paint the walls and get a cool area rug to match, it'll look really nice once we're done, I can't wait to have comfy furniture... I'm tired of sticking to the cold torn up pleather!

Nothing more to report.... still pluggin' away at work, hopefully for not too much longer!

Hope you all are doing well.

Terresa

9/01/05- WOO HOO.... HAPPY SEPTEMBER... it seems like I've been waiting for this month forever!!!! Have I bragged about my sweet husband Chris lately? He brought me flowers to work today... Oh it was so sweet, I got a little choked up! And last night he was giving me all kinds of love... when we were laying in bed he was playing with my hair, rubbing my back, telling my how proud he is of me. I'm the luckiest girl ever!

I love you Baby!

I Love You

8/30/05- 36 weeks down... only 4 more to go! I've been getting so tired... I get up at 4:30am every day for work and by the time I get home I'm exhausted, I don't want to go anywhere or do anything! I feel bad for being so lazy, but Chris has been great... cooking, cleaning, letting my lay around on my butt all the time... I'm so lucky :o) My last day of work is 9/23, but I'm thinking of taking off an extra week early just to relax, even though I sit on my butt all day at work, it really drains me.

Big news on my sister Misty... She went to the doc's today and found out that she's 2cm dilated and the baby is sitting really low... they think she will go into active labor within the next week! How exciting!!! If she doesn't go into labor on her own, they have her scheduled for an induction on 9/19. At least she has a date in mind... I just have to keep waiting, I'll by so depressed if I pass my 9/27 due date! Oh well... As long as my baby boy is healthy, I'll be happy when ever he comes.

I'll keep everyone updated on Misty's progress... I'm so excited to meet my new nephew!

Lots of Love, Terresa

8/22/05- Happy Birthday to ME Balloons okay, I'm not shy about it, I love by birthday and I don't mind admitting it, I just feel a little extra special on my birthday! It's been such a great day... I can't believe I'm a quarter century old!! Chris did some really sweet things for me yesterday. He went shopping and bought me a ton of stuff that he's heard me say 'Oh, I want one of those', most of the stuff I'd never buy myself and I never thought he was really listening.. He got me a body pillow (life saver being prego), a memory foam support pillow, a really cool aquarium desktop, a family photo album, baby scrap booking supplies, and some other random small thing.. It was all so thoughtful, I am so lucky to have such a great hubby Flirty Wink ! Tonight Chris and I went over to my parents house for Pizza   and Birthday Cake . My sister and nephews got me the baby bubbles blanket that I wanted, it's the one our little man will be bundled up in when we bring him home, I already had the baby bubbles pajamas, now the outfit is complete and SOOO cute! My Mom and Dad were really generous, they got me two really cute precious moments porcelain figurines, my mom knew I liked Precious Moments ( I always get the color books) so now I'm going to start my first collection of Precious Moments figurines, they are really cute. Then they put $225 in my birthday card!!! I really didn't expect it, it was so nice and needed at the same time. Chris and I are getting our House appraised tomorrow and it costs $375 for the appraisal, once we have it done our mortgage will go down $100 a month, saving that much money every month will really help out once the baby comes.

Thanks to my great family and friends I had another wonder birthday! You know what's funny, Chris and I always said that we would have our first baby when I was 25 and he was 27... We are right on track!

Lots of Love,

Terresa

35 weeks tomorrow, 5 more to go!!!

(Okay, so I went a little over board with the smiley icons... it's late... I'm tired)

8/16/05- It was a sad day for the Johnson household today... our gold fish of 4 years, Gordin, has passed on to fishy heaven . This picture was taken years ago... he was just goofy and slept upside down all the time, this goldfish had some character let me tell you!

8/16/05- 34 weeks down.... 6 more to go! You know, I have really enjoyed being pregnant and feeling my little man move around inside of me... but I'm getting to the point where I'm ready for this to be over! I hate to complain... but I'm swelling up like a balloon, my shoes are so tight and my wedding ring barely fits anymore :o( Not only that but I haven't been able to sleep at all lately and I'm so uncomfortable no matter if I'm sitting, or standing, or walkin, etc... I could go on and on for ever... I'm just ready to have my baby in my arms and out of my belly!

Oh well, it will all be worth it in the end :o) On a happier note, I had another baby shower this past weekend, my Mother In Law Penny hosted this one for Chris's side of the family. It was small but a lot of fun, and she got us the Travel System that we wanted... Woo Hoo! That was the last big thing we needed to get, now there are only a few small things to get before the baby comes, other then that we are ready to go! I want to send a special thanks out to Penny, Grandma Lorraine, Grandma Ardes, Misty, Mom, and Lisa for all making the babyshower so relaxing and fun. Chris's sister (my SIL) wasn't able to make it because she had a Kidney infection and hasn't been feeling well lately, but she stopped by on Sunday with a couple of gifts, she got us a really cute ducky towel and a Carters outfit... Thanks Alisha!

Chris just got back from Alaska last night with over 50lbs of fish, I'm so happy he's home, maybe now I'll get a least a little bit of sleep :o) Lisa came down this past weekend from Alaska to visit with me and go to the babyshower while Chris and Javier were in Alaska fishing, we had fun shopping and going to the Farmers Market... I'm so glad she came down to visit, I always love seeing her :o) It's funny... Chris and I always say that we see Lisa and Javier more then we see our friends that live within a few miles from us... with Javier working for Alaska Airlines it makes it easy for them to travel when ever they want. They'll back down in a few weeks again I'm sure!

I have another midwife appt on Friday after work, I'll keep you all posted!

Love, Terresa

8/9/05 - 33 weeks down.... 7 more to go! My sister and I had a baby shower on Sunday... it was really nice to see everyone, especially the friends and family we don't get the chance to see very often! I wanted to send out a special 'Thank You' to everyone that came to our shower - Thank you Mom, Penny, Phyllis, Snookie, Nicole, Sarah, Laura, Jennifer, Dawn, Kelly, Allanda, Debbie, Karen, and Gramma Betty. Misty and I loved seeing you all there and truly appreciate your generosity! Everyone did such a great job picking out gifts, our little boy received 4 blankets (which we only had 1), layette gift set, bath towel/washcloth gift set, some really cute outfits, and TONS of gift cards... we received 2 for Target, 1 for Fred Meyer, 1 for Babies R Us, and a $50 check from Grandma Penny! I've already started spending those gift cards :o) I went to Target yesterday and bought a baby bathtub and bath caddy with the shampoo, baby wash, etc, diaper genie refills.. and I still have $20 bucks to spend there! Thanks again to everyone that was there (or there in spirit), we had a wonderful time. I didn't take a lot of pictures but I will post the ones that I did take soon.

We've been so busy over the past few weeks that I forgot to write about a few things! The weekend before last we went to our friends Josh and Amanda's wedding. It was really nice, it was at a yacht club in Seattle right on Lake Washington, Amanda looked so pretty, Chris and I are really happy for them. Amanda and Josh are Mommy and Daddy to Joshua Jr... I have a link on my front page to JJ's website, maybe Amanda will post some wedding pictures there, I hope so :o)

Chris is leaving for Alaska on Thursday. I'm so jealous I don't get to go this year (or last year!) but at least Lisa will be coming down to keep me company. Chris and Javier will be fishing all weekend, he plans on having a big 'o fish feed the weekend after he gets home! My Mother In Law Penny is having another baby shower for me on Saturday, I'm excited that Lisa will be here to go with me.

Misty and I are going to the Breast-feeding class tonight... and Chris and I have another Preparation for Childbirth class tomorrow... being so busy has really helped the time go by... Oh, that reminds me, I had another midwife appt last Friday at 32.5 wks. My belly is measuring 34 cm, my weight gain and blood pressure are right on track, and our little boys heartbeat is still nice and strong, he is growing right on track!

Waiting impatiently, Terresa

Last minute thought... we bought a swimming pool for the backyard, its 13ft by 3.5ft tall... I think I've found heaven!

In The Pool

8/3/05 - Okay, So I posted a belly shot yesterday at 32 weeks (I feel like a cow... but oooh well) Anyways, I was looking at my 28wk 4day pic and my new 32wk pic and they look EXACTLY the same.... What's up with that???

Grow.... Belly.... Grow!!

8/1/05 - Our one year anniversary was yesterday... it's hard to believe a year has already past. I remember last year saying that I'd probably be pregnant on our one year anniversary, Chris and I always said that we'd have our first baby when he's 27 and I'm 25, which I'll be later this month... so we are right on track!

We started our 'Prep for Childbirth' classes last week, it was okay but I knew everything we went over, the only thing I think will be beneficial are some of the breathing and relaxation techniques which I've heard go right out the window once you're actually in labor... we paid a lot of money for the class so I hope I get something from it. Misty and I are also taking a 2 hour breast-feeding class on Aug 9th, I'm sure that one will be good for me, I know that a lactation nurse will be at the hospital, but I'd like to be prepared in advance, then ask questions once I've tried it out.

Chris is getting ready to go to Alaska again for fishing... He's leaving next Thursday for 4 days, and he's so excited like he's never been there before! I'm happy he's going, he needs a little vacation away from work... and probably me too :o) Not really, I haven't been moody or needy or anything (well, as far as I'm concerned), but I'm still happy he's going for a guys fishing weekend, he doesn't really do much with just the guys these days.

Oh yeah, Next Sunday My Mom is having a baby shower for Misty and I, I'm really looking forward to that. Then the next weekend Penny is having a baby shower for me, and my friend Lisa is coming down from Alaska (the same weekend Chris is going up to go fishing with Javier). I can't believe it's already time for baby showers, I'll officially be 8 months tomorrow (32 weeks).

Getting excited...

Terresa

7/31/05 - One year ago today I married my best friend.

I love you Baby!

Happy Anniversary

7/21/05 - Great news... my placenta has moved up! That means no placenta previa and no c-section (at least due to this). They figured it would have moved up, so I wasn't worried. It was so great to see our baby boy again, he is SOO much bigger than he was the first time we saw him. He's growing right on track, measuring around 31.5wks and weighs 3lbs 8oz. He had his eyes open the whole time so it looked like he was starring right back at us... he was blinking and yawning, and putting his hand in his mouth, it was so cute. We weren't too impressed with the ultrasound tech, she didn't have much to say and only gave us two pictures, and that only because I asked for them. I had to tell her my due date like 8 times, and she kept saying it back to be wrong, I think it was because we were the last appt of the day, so she was probably ready to go home. Anyways, just wanted to update you all. We should know more about my sister soon, so I'll keep ya posted.

Love, Chris, Terresa, and Baby J

7/19/05 - Woo Hoo... FINALLY 30 weeks!!!! Only 10 more weeks to go, I can't believe it!!! My ultrasound is tomorrow and we can't wait to see our little Buddha baby, he's so much bigger now than he was at our 18.5 wk U/S.

I wanted to updated everyone on my sister... she's been having a rough time lately with her pregnancy. A couple of weeks ago she was diagnosed with pneumonia, she had and still has a really bad cough and is getting sick all the time, no appetite, headaches, really bad swelling, etc... Well she went back to the doctors yesterday and found out she may have preeclampsia (exactly what I thought she had). Now she has to take some more tests to find out for sure if she does have it and if so, to what degree. For those of you who don't know what preeclampsia is, the web link below has great information about what is, how it effects the mother and the baby, and how it's treated. On a brighter note, her baby boy (Alex :o) is looking strong and healthy right now which is wonderful news. Hopefully her tests results come back negative, but it she does have preeclampsia she also has a strong support group behind her to help her through the last stage of her pregnancy...  I'm sure she and Alex will be OK.

Love you Misty! Get Well Soon

7/4/05- Happy 4th everyone! So I went in and took my 3 hour G/D test at 8am on Saturday morning... It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. For one, my dad showed up with a rose and a magazine and hung out with me for a couple of ours, it was so sweet of him! Then Chris was there for the last hour so the time went by really fast. The shots weren't so bad either, accept for the very last one, I stood up and almost passed out, I had to sit in the waiting room for a while before I had enough strength to walk to the truck, once we got some food I felt 100% better.

UPDATE... I PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS (NURSES WORDS EXACTLY) SHE SAID I WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HAVING GESTATIONAL DIABETES... WOO HOO!!! I was prepared to hear bad news, but I sure am relieved I don't have it... once less thing to worry about!

After my last midwife appt I forgot to update you all on the baby (DUH!) Well, At the time I was 27 weeks, but measured 28.5 weeks.... He's gonna be a big boy :o ) his heart was strong and he is already head down! My ultrasound is scheduled for July 21th and my next midwife appt is on July 20th, after that my appt's they will be every 2 weeks. We are also starting our childbirth classes this month, so it's going to be all about baby from now on! I'm gonna to have to buy a little calendar to keep track of all these doc appt and classes or else I'm going to forget!

Chris and I decided not to go to Ocean Shores this weekend, instead we decided to hang around home and have a BBQ. People should be showing up any minute now so I have to get going!

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Independence Day!

Love, Chris, Terresa, and Baby J

6/30/05- OK Gang... Looks like I have to go back for the 3 hour Gestation Diabetes test  Open Mouth   I just called my midwifes office get the results on of my Gestational Diabetes test.... My sugar level was 137 and normal is no higher than 130!!! They said it's not too high but a little higher than normal so I have to go back to take the 3 hour test on Saturday!!! UUGGHH. So I can't eat after 10pm on Friday (No biggy) and I have to be at the hospital at 8am, they'll take my blood at 8 before drinking the orange drink, then I'll drink it and have my blood taken again at 1hr 2hr and 3hr.... The results will be in on either Monday or Tuesday...

Stay Tuned!

I probably wont be able to think of anything else all weekend Rolling Eyes

6/27/05- Hello Everyone... It's been a long weekend! We went down to Chehalis for Craig and Kelly's yearly BBQ/Party weekend, they have a great house and barn on 3 acres of land, we go down every year with all of our friends and camp out for the weekend. This was the first camping trip that Chris and I have gone on this year with our friends, it was a little different being the only sober one around :o) but it was still fun to hang out with friends and watch everyone else get all goofy.

A couple of not so fun things happened.... our doggy Girl got beat up. Cat 16 A couple of other dogs attacked her on Saturday morning and left some really good gashes and puncher holes all over her, Craig and Chris took her to the emergency vet's. Poor Girl, She was miserable all weekend, she had 8 staples put in the really bad gashes, and they gave her some antibiotics and pain pills. We've never seen her look so sad, I took some pictures of her so I'll post them later.... but be warned, they're pretty sad :o( She's a tough little dog though, so she's be back to her old happy self in no time. Oh, another thing that kinda sucks... something is wrong with our digital camera, when the batteries went dead on Satureday I changed them but the red light kept coming on like the batteries were still bad and it wouldn't work at all... I'm totally bummed about that because we spent a lot of money on our camera just before our wedding last summer, I hope we can get it fixed!

As far as the baby goes, he's doing great, and moving around like crazy! My next midwife appt is on Wednesday, I'll have my Gestation Diabetes test done, hopefully all goes well. I'll also be scheduling another ultrasound to see if my placenta has moved up, so I'll keep you all posted on that!

I'll write later this week to let you all know how my midwife appt goes!

Love, Terresa

Oh I forgot to repost.... I hope that all the daddy's out there had a Happy Fathers Day! I wrote up something special for Chris last weekend but then I was kicked offline before I saved it...and got to lazy to re-write it :o) Oh well, He know's how much I love him!

Only 3 more months until we meet our baby boy Baby

6/18/05- So I typed this long story earlier today but was disconnected before I saved it... so here I go again. Anyone that knows me or has read my past entries knows I LOVE a good deal. Well, Last week I saw a posting on Craigslist ( www.craigslist.com - really popular classifieds in Seattle, check out your city) This lady had 6 month old twin boys that had outgrown all there clothes up to 9 month, so she had tons for sale. My sister and I went to her house on Friday night and scored BIG time. This lady had hundreds if not thousands of super cute baby boy clothes, everything you could possibly imagine, all name brands like Old Navy, Gap, Disney Kids, etc and everything was either brand new w/ tags or maybe worn once by her boys... she said everyone bought her clothes for her baby shower and she ended up with a crazy amount to spare.... Needless to say, my sister and I went to town... we both spend under $70 but walked out of this ladies house with hundreds of dollars worth of clothes and other things... I know I got over 20 complete outfits,  25 + onsies, a brand new boppy pillow with the blue velour cover, and countless of other things, check out the pictures I posted! She even had some super cute matching outfits that we both got to dress our baby boys in, we'll probably have there pictures taken together!

Too Happy 1   If you can't tell.... we had a lot of fun!

Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Terresa

6/14/05- Hello Everyone! Where'd all my friends go? No one seems to email me anymore because they're all checking the website for updates :o) That's cool though, I'm happy everyone is enjoying it... I love updating it! I'm 25 weeks today and my belly has really grown quit a bit over the past couple of weeks. I measured my waist when I was around 14 weeks, back then I measured 28 inches, and now I'm 38 inches... 10 inches already, I definitely feel pregnant now.

Only 15 more weeks to go.... Shocked  Crazy, huh?

Chris and I still haven't picked out a name, we're going come up with 3 or 4 names that we both really like then decide once we meet him to see what name fits him the best. So we're gonna stick to our guns and keep it a secret Lips Are Sealed Not knowing his name myself is really gonna help me keep my mouth shut!!  The baby's room is coming along so great... we put up the window valance and shade yesterday and it makes everything look even cutier, I took some pictures so I'll probably post them later today.

Ummm... What else has been going on??? Chris and I did some serious yard work over the weekend, I was weed eating for over 2 hours, my arms are still SO sore, but the yard looks great! Oh yeah, On Sunday Chris and I came across a great garage sale... I got a Medela DoubleEase Breastpump (sells for $170 in stores), step n' stool potty, boppy pillow, johnny jumper, diaper genie, some onsies, all for $20. I looked everything up on babiesrus and all together I got over $300 worth of stuff for only $20... I was so excited. I'm going to by all the replacement parts for the breastpump, and I might want a newer model of the johnny jumper and boppy, but I figured I'd get it all and if something doesn't work or we get a new one I'm not really out any money.

I think my mom is planning to have a baby shower for both me and my sister the first weekend in August, so probably Aug 6th.  More details to come.... Hey, To all my friends out there.... Let me know you're all still reading and write in the guestbook!

Lots O' Love, Terresa

Watching The Clock Is it time to go home yet?

6/13/05- Just wanted to say CONGRATS to our friends Willam and Janica, they just found out they are having a precious baby GIRL... she's due on halloween!

Once they start a website (hint hint) I'll be sure to make a link to share with everyone!

6/03/05- Happy Friday! I had my 23 week midwife appointment on Wednesday, I told Chris to skip this one because I knew this visit wasn't much more than to check my weight, and listen for the heartbeat... All is well, not much to report, she said my weight gain is right on track, but I don't believe her! I got to hear his heartbeat again and he kicked the midwife a few times :o) She also said he can hear now and his eyelids are starting to open and at this stage of pregnancy if something were to go wrong the baby would have a 75% chance of making it, that is really re-assuring to know!

After my first ultrasound back on April 29th my midwife mentioned that my placenta was still a little low, she said it wasn't covering my cervix so it isn't too low. She reassured me that this happens all the time, but said I'd have another ultrasound around 27-28 weeks to make sure it has moved all way up. I've been looking into this and have found out it's called 'Placenta Previa', from what I've read it doesn't effect or bother either the baby or the mom, basically if the placenta doesn't move up than it's a guaranteed C-section. So now I'm curious how things are going... guess I'll have to wait another month for my next ultrasound.

On a happier note, I've been learning how to do so many cool things with the website this week! I have to send a special 'THANKS' out to Ashlee in Texas, she taught me how to make the clickable picture links on my front page..... all these codes can get a little frustrating, but at the same time, it's addicting! I also added, deleted, and re-arrangement my picture section, so you'll see some new pictures on the first page of the pictures if you look there. I have TONS of pictures I'd love to post but there are just way to many and I'd have to scan most of them. Feel free to check out more pictures on my yahoo photo album by clicking on the picture below.

Love, Terresa

OH I almost forgot.... My next Midwife appointment is on June 29th, I'll have my Gestational Diabetes test done.... wish me luck!

On The Hammock   It was SOOO nice this weekend!

5/31/04- Hello Friends.... We're 23 weeks today! It was our first weekend being home on Memorial Day Weekend in over 4 years, but we had a very productive and fun time hangin' around town. On Friday night Penny (Grandma), Chris, and I went and saw 'The Longest Yard', it was really funny, we love Adam Sandler so I'm sure we'll end up buying it once it comes out on DVD. On Saturday we got up early and went to a ton of garage sales... we found a nice computer chair that goes nicely with our new desk, 6 brand new baby boy onsies, Chris got a couple framed Scarface posters for the garage, I found one of those moving nature pictures that have sound and lights up... like the ones you find in the mall for $60, I got it for only $5, and a bunch of other small stuff too. We also visited my parents and Chris's dad, then we went for a walk down on water front. On Sunday we drove over the pass to Salmon Le Sac and went for a nice 4 mile hike and had lunch at the lake. By the time we got home we were both so exhausted (mostly from the long drive) we fell a sleep around 6:30 thinking we'd take a nap, but we didn't get up until 6:30 Monday morning.... I couldn't believe we slept that long, but it felt great! On Monday Chris and I went to Home Depot to get the glue for the nursery wallpaper, it was easy to put up and it looks SO CUTE... Only problem is that I was short about 1.5 ft, so I'm gonna have to by whole 30ft roll for $20 just for a foot and a half.... lame! My friend Laura came over around 4pm, we went for a walk down at the Marina, then came home and colored each others hair... I'm so happy to have my highlights back, she did a great job, I feel ready for summer with blonder hair! I'll have to post some new pix and belly shots soon! Well... That was our weekend, hope you all had a great time too!

Love, Chris, Terresa, and Baby Johnson Aging Man

Oh yeah, I forgot.... Chris felt the baby move on Friday night! I was sitting at the computer and I could really feel the baby moving, when I looked down I could actually see him moving around like a wild child... so I called Chris in and sure enough, he felt his son for the first time right away... It was great!

5/27/05- I can't believe how fast time is flying by.... My due date is only 4 months from today!! I'm so happy it's Friday and a three day weekend, it's going to be nice and relaxing. This is the first year in 4 years that Chris and I haven't gone camping on Memorial Day Weekend so I'm a little bummed about that, some of our friends are out of town and everyone else seems to be doing there own things this year... oh well, I guess it's best we save our money anyway! We are taking the RV down to Ocean Shores for the 4th of July weekend, it's always amazing to watch all the fireworks for miles down the beach, my sister and Aldo are coming with us and I'm sure a bunch of other friends will be there too.

We finally got our nursery bedding and decor yesterday, it's SO cute I couldn't wait to put it all together... we ran into a couple of dilemma's though - the valance isn't long enough so I'll have to order another one, and the way our crib is the mobile wont latch on, but I'm sure we can figure out a way to make it work. Other than that I love it all, I posted some new pictures yesterday to show you all.

You know it's crazy, just in the past few days my belly has really started to pop.... Chris and I are both amazed at how fast it seems to be growing now, I can finally were most of my maternity clothes which is really nice! I think we're going to have a BBQ this weekend and maybe camp in the backyard just for the fun of it!

Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Love, Chris, Terresa, and our 1 pounder baby boy!

Saluting The Flag

5/23/05- 22 weeks tomorrow and I have to say.... I feel so GREAT!!! Let me explain Sunshine

  •  Chris and I found an AWESOME deal on baby furniture this weekend! We bought a crib and matching dresser/changing table for super cheap, and it's such a beautiful set, the pictures really don't due it justice. I should be receiving all of the 'Ducky' nursery decor on Thursday and I can't wait to put it all together!
  • I broke down over the weekend and bought some super cute maternity clothes at Old Navy, I'm SOOO much more comfortable!
  • I found two of my favorite hair clips stuffed down in the couch cushions.... Woo Hoo - That totally made my day yesterday :o)
  • My precious baby boy has been moving around like crazy and I'm so thrilled I can finally feel him! I started feeling 'something' a couple of weeks ago, but now there is no doubt about it... he was moving around all night last night, and of course I couldn't sleep cause I kept thinkin' about him! On Saturday morning Chris and I were laying in bed looking down at my belly and the whole bump was all the way on the right side, it was really weird looking... so I put my hand on my right side of my belly and pushed, I could totally feel him moving over, it was the weirdest thing ever... SOOO Awesome!

Hope you are all having a great day like me!

Terresa Rocking Happy

5/11/05- BREAKING NEWS.... MY SISTER IS HAVING ANOTHER BOY!!!   I'm so happy, two baby boys due just one day apart... they'll be the best of friends! As most of you know, Misty has two boys already, my nephew Issac who is 10, and my nephew Aaron who is 7. They are going to be great big brothers! They get a brother and there first cousin!

Chris and I still don't have a name for our baby boy yet, but for some reason I really hope my sister names her son Alex, it goes so good with his last name, Alex Avalos!

Love, Terresa

Congrats

5/10/05- HALF WAY DONE.... 20 WEEKS TODAY.... WOO HOO! My sister's ultrasound is tomorrow at 1:30pm, I'll keep you all posted!

Love, Terresa

Too Happy 1

5/6/05- Woo Hoo, it's Friday! Chris and I had our Midwife appt on Wednesday to go over the ultrasound results, Quad screen test results, and all the other regular stuff. The quad screen test came back with normal results, which is a huge relief. They said everything looks wonderful with our baby boy, when I went in for my ultrasound I was 18w 3d pregnant and he was measuring 18w 6d, hopefully he starts growing faster so I can have him in my arms sooner :o)  Oh yeah, She did mention that my placenta is still a little low, so I'm going to have another ultrasound around 27 weeks to make sure it moved up all the way. I was told it wasn't 'too' low so there's nothing for me to worry about. I figure that's cool, I get to see my baby boy again :o) Our next appt is June 1st.

Do you all like the 'Ducky Love' theme we picked out for the nursery? Baby stuff is so expensive!!! We looked around at Babies R' Us and some other baby stores and just for the bedding they wanted $300 or more... That's insane! I found the 'Ducky Love' set at Sears for $100, that's for only the bedding. I searched online and found the bedding set for $85 along with the matching hamper, diaper stacker, window valance, mobile, wall hanging duckys, and wall paper, all for $188! I ordered it a couple of days ago, they said it would take a few weeks for it to get here... which is fine since we don't really need it yet! I went back to Sears and bought the paint yesterday, since they have the Ducky set there I just brought it over the paint department to match the colors. The top of the room will be yellow and the bottom will be green with the ducky border in the middle.. how cute!

Any hoo, Everything else is going great, I haven't had any problems at all, I still don't really 'feel' pregnant yet and I'm still waiting for my belly to 'pop'! I'll have to post another belly picture soon!

Oh yeah, My sister Misty has her ultrasound next Wednesday. I can't wait to find out if I'm going to have a niece or nephew!

Love, Chris, Terresa, and Baby Boy Johnson (Boy names have been really HARD)

5/1/05- It's a BOY !!!!!! NOOO doubt about it... He had no problems 'hangin' it all out there! Chris and I are so excited... We only had our girl name picked out so we've been rackin' our brains all weekend to come up with a cool and unusual boy name... I'll keep you all posted once we know for sure! I'm still working to upload all of the ultrasound pictures, just wanted to let everyone know... It's a BOY!!!!!!

Love, Chris, Terresa, and Baby Boy Johnson

4/26/05- I'm so excited!!!!  At my last Midwife appointment I was told that I could call in advance to schedule my Ultrasound, otherwise they would schedule it a week or so after my May 4th appointment. My friend Kimi convinced me to call and schedule the ultrasound. When I called the Midwife office they told me that I should make the U/S appointment for at least 2 days before my midwife appt so that they would have all of the results back. So I called to make the U/S appt... This FRIDAY, April 29th @ 2:30pm!!! Woo Hoo... only 4 days until we'll know if we're having a baby boy or a baby girl!!!! Chris and I are leaving to go camping right after the appointment so I probably wont be able to update the website until Sunday night... darnit! It's fishing seasons opening day and we're going to Jaimeson Lake, Chris has been going there every year since he was 13 or something... it's a nice weekend getaway.

I hope the baby isn't stubborn :o)

Chris, Terresa, and our soon to be Son or Daughter!!

4/23/05 - Hello Again! Chris and I finally sold my car (after buying the SUV 5 months ago!!!), it feels good to have that stress off my shoulders. With that said, we could finally afford to buy a nice home computer, so now I can update our baby website more often instead of just when I have time at work.

My last Midwife appoitment on April 4th went great, we got to hear the heartbeat again, this time is was very loud and strong... it feels so good to actually hear proof that I'm growing a baby inside of me since it hasn't really been very noticeable as of yet. I had my Quad screen test done, they said they'd only call if there were any problems... I never received a call, so I'm guessing everything came back OK! My next Midwife appt is on May 4th, it'll be just another regular check up, that's when they'll schedule my first ultrasound within a week. Chris and I are SOOOO excited to find out if we'll be having a baby boy or a baby girl, only a couple more weeks and hopefully we'll know. My sister has her ultrasound scheduled on May 11th, so we will be finding out within a few days of each other, if not on the same day... I can't wait to go shopping!

Today I'm 17wks and 4dys... I'm not 100% sure but I think I've been feeling a little bit of baby movement for the past few days. I thought maybe it was gas or something, but it felt different, not like anything I've felt before so I'm pretty sure it's the baby I've been feeling. My tummy still hasn't 'popped' yet, I just look bloated or like I've put on a few pounds to people that don't know I'm preggo. I'm hopeful within the next few weeks or so it will start to be more noticeable. My regular jeans are getting really tight, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to wear them, but the maternity jeans and tops that I have so far are too big. Oh well, hopefully I wont be stuck in this 'in between' stage for too long!

Love you all!

Chris, Terresa and our Large Onion (I know I probably shouldn't be calling our baby an Onion :o) but that's how big he/she is right now!!!)

4/5/05 - Hello Everyone... We are 15 weeks today! Everything with me is great, our next doc appt is tomorrow Wed, 4/6. We are going to have a blood test called the triple screen test done which can identify if the fetus is at risk for certain birth defects such as neural tube defects like apina bifida or chromosomal abnormalities like Down Syndrome. The one thing that bothers me about the test is that it has high false positive results, which I'm sure would stress me out. Hopefully the test will come back normal.... I'll keep you all posted. After tomorrow's appointment we get to schedule our first Ultrasound... Woo Hoo... Hopefully the baby will cooperate and show us his/her goods :o)

I have to update you all on my sister, Misty.... Originally our last appointments were for the same day, March 16th (mine ended up being a little earlier, last story will explain), she got to have an U/S to confirm how far along she is because she wasn't sure about her last period. They did an interal U/S and took pictures of the baby, the doc says they were off on her due date by about 1 month... she was actually only 12 weeks then, and due September 26th... The day before me!!! Can you believe that? Everyone was sure she was at least a month further along because her belly is already so big and round, it's insane to think we're are only one day apart! I'm not showing yet, but when I'm laying in bed in the morning I can totally feel a bump starting at my belly button and below, I love rubbing it... hopefully within the next month or so I'll start to 'pop'.

See ya later!

Chris, Terresa, and our.... Humm... Little tiny 3.5 inch baby!

3/9/05 - I have GREAT NEWS! Well, it doesn't start off so great.... Last week I spotted a little bit and I totally freaked myself out, I've been told over and over again that spotting is normal but up until this point I hadn't had that problem, and because I had very little signs of pregnancy, I just really wanted a doctor/midwife to tell me that everything was OK. I called the midwifery office to see if they could move my appt up from 3/16. The receptionist said they were completely booked up but would put me on the 'will call' list in case of any cancellations. Sure enough, on Tuesday they called and left me a message. I called back first thing this morning and found out they could get me in today at !! Woo Hoo, I didn't have to keep waiting and wondering for another week. Chris and I got there around and found out that the receptionist scheduled me for the wrong kind of appt, and the midwife was really backed up. We had to wait there for over an hour before they called me back, at that point we were both double thinking our primary care holder decision. Once I was finally taken in, the ladies were absolutely wonderful. First the registered nurse had me pee in a cup and she had to draw a bunch of blood for testing. The Midwife Suzanne came in shortly after, I explained to her why I moved my appt up and what my worries were. Right away she said 'Well then, Let's find this baby's heartbeat to ease your worries'. I was so excited. I laid back on the table and she but the doppler with gel on my tummy. Suzanne re-assured me that sometimes this early on it's kind of heart to find the heartbeat and that it might take a few minutes. So she searched and she searched... of course the longer it took the more worried I got.... but sure enough... there it was... WISHA WISHA WISHA WISHA...The best sound I had ever heard! I was so happy and relieved at the same time! She finished up with my physical exam and called Chris in so we could both listen together. The poor guy had to wait in the waiting room for over 2 hours, but he said it was all worth it!

Our next appt is 4/6...

Love you all!

Chris, Terresa, and our Big Shrimp (That's the size of our baby right now!)

2/28/05- H ello Everyone! I'm just in the mist of creating this website today. The first posting was an email that I sent to Lisa.... I hope it's not TMI for you all, I just don't want to ever forget how it all started! Chris and I went to our first Midwife appt last Tuesday (2/22). I was a little disappointed because we didn't even get to see the Midwife, it was really just a bunch of paper work and medical history. They weighed me (uuugghh) and took my blood pressure, but that's about it..... They did confirm my EDD is 9/27, based on my last period. My sister had her first doc appt the week before, she found out she is due on 8/30 (could it be an early birthday present for me?) and she even got to hear the heartbeat... I was totally bummed after my appt that I didn't get to hear the heartbeat, so I went on to ebay and bought on of those home prenatal monitors that you can hear the baby's heartbeat with... I didn't know you had to be 20 weeks for it to work :o( looks like I'm going to have to wait until my  next appt. Now my first real Midwife appt for 3/16. I can't wait to hear our little beans heartbeat.

Everyone keeps asking my how I'm feeling... And honestly, I really don't feel pregnant at all, which is why I want to hear the heartbeat so badly, right now it's all kind of surreal, yeah know? I've been really tired and constantly hungry, but other than that I feel completely fine... Hopefully the whole pregnancy will go this smoothly!

We've spilled the Beans to both sides of our families and everyone is estatic! My Dad's birthday was 2/8 and we had a birthday party for him at my sisters house on Saturday 2/12. I bought a cute little ultrasound frame and wrote in the middle 'Ultrasound picture of Baby Johnson coming soon'. When he opened the frame he didn't really know what to think, but caught on pretty fast. My Mom, Dad, and Sister are all very happy and excited for us.... It's going to be so cool for me and my sister to have our babies just a month apart, if our babies are the same sex, I bet you they grow up to be best friends!

On Valentines Day I wrapped up the same little frame for Chris's Mom Penny. His Dad was there when she opened... Penny was so excited, she been waiting to be a grandma for so long, she is going to spoil our child rotten!

I posted some of your wedding and honeymoon pictures to share, just cause they make me happy :o) If you'd like to see more, click on the link below (if clicking doesn't work, just cut and paste it)... there are a lot, don't feel obligated to look at them all :o)

2/3/05 - Chris and I are both SO excited... Let's start way back at the very beginning!!!! Judith (Psychic friend) was right on about the pregnancy! Let me start at the beginning... My last period started 12/26, but since I've been off the pill I start spotting pretty heavily for about 5 days before AF starts    (Aunt Flow - learning tons of abbreviations on pregnancy forums!), in December I started spotting on the 21nd. I was a little bummed last month, so this time we tried even harder, almost everyday for 2 weeks, we started a week after my last period, until a week til' it was due, right when I was ovulating. On the 21st (when I was due to start spotting) I started feeling crampy and when I went pee, sure enough, there it was, I was totally bummed again, I thought for sure it would be January. So I went home and told Chris this month is a no go and that I wanted to go out and have a drink (because I had stopped drinking and 'everything' for about a month thinking I was going to get prego) so I had a couple of drinks... oops! I kept feeling cramping for about 5 days but no more spotting and no AF... I was so confused because I was SURE it was coming, I could feel it. So AF's due date came and went... I was still cramping, but also feeling 'different'. I went to the store and bought a digital HPT, I didn't want to get confused with the lines, I just wanted it to tell me. I didn't take it for a couple of days because I was scared to see a 'not pregnant' and waste the $17.99. Last Saturday morning when Chris was getting ready for work (worked OT) I got up to take the test (morning pee is the best)... almost as soon as the pee hit the stick it showed up 'PREGNANT'... I didn't know what to think, I was so happy, but scared, and excited, so much was going through my head.... I waited until after Chris got home from work to tell him.... We were talking about his day at work and I brought the camera over... I said 'You have to see this picture I took today' and handed him the camera (he said he thought it was going to be a sexy pic that I took of myself like I've done before, he was wrong)... He was SO HAPPY, I have been truly shocked at how happy and excited he is, it just makes me even happier and more excited, I am so lucky to have him.

I haven't been to the doc yet, but right now I'm basing my due date on 12/26, the doc might change it to 12/21, I guess that will depend on what the baby/fetus is measuring when I go in. Currently I'm 5 weeks and 2 days prego, according to my calculations the baby will be due around October 4th. I've been told (reading online) the doc doesn't usually see you until your at least 8 weeks, unless there are complications, but everything has been going fine so far (crossing my fingers). So far my symptoms have been super sore boobs, frequent visits to the bathroom, very tired, and cramps (never knew that was a symptom until I posted the question, seems lots of woman have them).

So you wanna here the REAL shocker????? After Chris left for work last Saturday oblivious to what was going on.... I was laying in bed just thinking about things and the phone rings..... It's Misty, she says 'Has Mom called you yet?' I said 'No', she says 'Oh, I thought she would have called and told you, I'm PREGNANT!!! I couldn't believe it... she says her last period was about 2 weeks before Christmas but she doesn't remember for sure, she'll be going to the doctors here pretty soon to find out exactly how far along she is, but it sounds like her baby will be due a couple of weeks before ours. I wanted to wait to tell everyone until I was a little further along so I kept my mouth shut, but it was really hard! I Mom called me a little later on Saturday and we talked about Misty being prego... My Mom says 'Do you realized that the psychic said you'd get pregnant in January, what's up with that?' I got totally silent, I'm really bad at lying, and she knew right then... so my Mom knows, but no one else in our families know yet. Our friends Steven, Jennifer, Laura, Vashti, and Jerry all know, and from work, Kimi, my friend William, and my boss Barb know... but that's everyone.    My Dad's birthday is on February 8th, we are having a party for him on Feb 12th. Chris and I are going to buy something cute that says 'I love my Grandpa' and wrap it up as a gift, so my Dad and Sister will find out on the 12th, my Mom is going to video tape there reactions... it will be cool to go through everything with my sister. Chris and I were thinking of telling his parents on Valentine's Day, maybe we'll do the same thing for them and wrap something up as a surprise.

See you all soon!

Love, Chris, Terresa and our little Peanut!
