Super Bowl Sunday...all that means to me is that I have a GREAT excuse for eating lots of junk food all day. :o) And I did.
Kenadee, my Mom and I met up with Scott and his family at Olive Garden. Mat was jealous. Very very jealous. I am not a big Italian fan. So we never go there. Yummy. The salad was great (of course)....so was the company. Aidan and Mat stayed home with Grandma Gennet. She came over last night and stayed over. Last night...ahhh...yes. We went to Pizza Hut with Gennet. We all had taco pizza. It was really really good. I was surprised. I usually don't like anything. :o) It was yummy. We decided next time to skip the onions and add black olives!! All in all...great meal. Great night. Until Aidan decided to surprise Grandma with his 1st no-no word. Mat and I missed it. Aidan went running into my room (where I was) crying telling us that he was getting a spanking. Mat tried to get Aidan to tell him what the word was. Mat told him that he wasn't getting a spanking cause he didn't know the word was bad. But now we know now not to say it. Aidan still wouldn't tell Mat. So Mat went to find out from Gennet. I went up to Aidan and said that everything is going to be OK, just to tell me what happened. crying he says "Mom.....you know that book that Kenadee just loves? Well I was looking and looking for it. I said where the hell is it??" Relieved it was not a worse word I sat back a little but I still needed to let him know that word was off limits. He said he knows that now but asked if we could stop talking about it. I told him OK, gave him a hug and we moved on. The 1st 4 seasons of Doctor Who there was NEVER any swearing...this last season they say hell a lot. Bummer. Before Grandma Gennet surprised us with a late night visit we all visited my Dad. It was a quiet visit...he made us watch the Hallmark channel. Mat stayed in the kitchen the whole time. The movie wasn't to sad...only a few tears at the end...I forgot about the Hallmark channel...I used to love that channel when I had cable.
While out shopping today I bought a Smash Book. A journal. But room for photos, clippings..little things that you can glue in...it has room to expand. I am not sure how I want to use this book....should I have a plan?? Or just wing it. I never wing it...so I am thinking that this book should be all "wing"...it can be everything..and nothing at the same time. I will journal in it, but photos or news clippings...ideas...whatever that day holds. Less stress if there isn't a plan to stick to. Then there can be no wrong. Right? :o)
