Human interaction. Who knew how important this was until you don't have it!! Aidan, Kenadee and I spend many days outside with the neighbors. Michelle and her children Mathew and Hannah. Kids get along...Michelle and I get along....its great. Today Aidan is at my Moms house playing with Connor. Which is really great for Aidan, and Connor and my Mom. But not so much for me. I am used to talking with Michelle most days [even if for a little bit]. I am having with-drawls today. Sad I know. But the worst part is that they are moving in July. Back to having all my interaction with adults on face-book!! =]

I was SO stupid last night. Not only did I eat ice cream, I gave some to Kenadee! She was up ALL night!! Poor girl! I know that cheese and yogurt bother her tummy but I totally forgot about ice cream! Seriously!! What kind of Mother am I??

Baby Elizabeth is born...well if all went as planned. 930 AM was the last I heard. Praying for a healthy baby girl for Dave and Sam [and Noah].
Last night Mat took both kids to Randall's house. It was great. I got to clean the place with NO interruptions!! Except my face-book interruptions!! lol Today it is going to be 90 degrees out!! Right now it is 65 and breezy. Perfect out. As soon as Kenadee wakes from her morning nap, we are heading out for a walk!!
Kenadee slept better last night. Not so much gas. I don't eat any dairy, but there is some in her baby-foods. Something I really really need to watch out for. 3-4 hours of sleep a night is NOT working for me!!

Mothers day came and went. Mat was grumpy the WHOLE day!! With [semi] good reason. He was worried about our car situation. Could have let it all wait until AFTER mothers day but nooooo ;] So, he pouted and I went flower shopping with my Mom. When I came home from shopping I was hoping that Mat was in a better mood. He was not. He went to take a nap with Kenadee. Aidan and I planted my flowers. It would have been nice to have a couple photos taken of Aidan and I digging in the dirt planting some pretty flowers...but you [as will I] have to just imagine the cute photos in your head.
Monday I decided enough pouting. We HAD to buy a car. So we did. I am the type of car shopper that does the following :
Go to car dealer. Look at a car or two. Pick one. Buy one. Go home. This is what we did! Second car we looked at. YAHOO!!! We now have a new car and it was almost painless!! lol. I will have to take a photo...haven't yet.
Aidan, Kenadee and I have been spending a lot of time outside enjoying the nice weather. Our neighbors make it SO much fun to be out there. Aidan has someone to play with and I have someone to talk to!! Win-win!! Unfortunately they are moving :[ Soon. But we will enjoy the time we have together!!
Today we all went to my Moms to watch the kiddos so that my Mom can drive my Dad to the Dr. When Kenadee let me I worked a bit outside for my Mom in her gardens. It was hard to believe that it was 82 outside! The clouds and cool breeze made it feel GREAT!! Tomorrows high is 90. Hope the clouds and wind stick around !!

We have a crawler. Well she has been going backwards for a week or more. But yesterday she went forward! More than just one or two times!! Then she went into a sitting position~ She was just as proud of herself as I was of her!!
Yesterday was a great day. The kids and I spent at least 3 hours with the neighbors outside! I am going to cry when they move =[
Today was spent shopping. Buying lots of fruit and veggies!! Costco, Target and Aldi. We picked up my Dad from dialysis. I told him that this was going to be the last time I pick him up if he isn't going to wear his seat belt! No one gets away with not wearing their seat belt in our car, even my Dad!!

Kenadee finished her first full jar (small) of baby food today. She NEVER finishes. When I was making all her food (at 5-6 months) she ate great. Now...not so much. She only wants bottles. Today was hopefully a turn around for her. I don't think that the breast milk is thick enough. Sometimes it is quite clear. Sometimes it looks like regular milk. This happened when I first started nursing but I am not sure why now?? Anyway, if she continues to eat food it wont matter so much. But when she is ONLY drinking milk, she gets really really gassy when the milk is clearer than normal. She went in today for a re-check of her ears. ALL CLEAR!! It only took 3 different antibiotics [and 3 weeks] to clear. Now the problem is she has a yeast infection from all the antibiotics. Over the counter meds were not working so she is on a cream antibiotic for 10 days. She looks so sore!! :[
Great news : Grandpa is home from the hospital!! Yahoo!! Rough week it was last week!! Lets not repeat that one!!! EVER!!
Aidan got to go to Grandmas 2 times this week to play with Connor!! Great for Aidan. Great for me!! I get so much cleaning done with only one child.
Last night Mat and I sat outside with our neighbors and had a couple beers!! Adult conversation!! Wow!! It has been a long time since that has happened! Fun times!! I wounder if they [our neighbors] have figured out how strange we really are ;o)

Aidans party was great!! Totally worth $100.00. We even got a bigger room then expected due to the health fair that was going on at the community center. Aidan was spoiled with toys...toys and more toys. He already started writing thank you notes!! Nothing fancy, just thank you and his name. I thought that was a good start. Good practice. Kenadee went to after hours care yesterday. The Dr didn't want to do anything. He told me to see Shirley today. So we did. Infection in the other ear now!! Really??!! She has been on meds for 13 days!! How does it come back!! They were going to give her a series of 3 shots...then realized she is allergic to Omnicef....Hoping the round of meds work this time!! Poor baby girl...poor mom!! I have had NO sleep!!!

Happy 6th birthday to my BIG boy!! Aidan I love you!!!
I thought the day was going to be long and boring but our neighbors came to visit!! What a fun afternoon. Aidan played with kiddos and I got to have adult conversation!! [In reality most of the conversation was about our kiddos!! lol]

Aidan had another pain/screaming/crying episode at 4 AM. Mat almost took him to the ER but he held out until 8. They went to the clinic to see Shirley. She diagnosed him with GERD. He is on [liquid] Zantac twice a day. Hope this helps. He was crying to me "Mom, I wish I didn't have this" Oh me too buddy...me too!
Side note: He is still on a dairy free diet.

Strange things in the air.
1. Watched a squirrel carry a whole piece of pizza across the lawn.
2. Watched 2 HUGE black birds fighting in the air [as if they are not creepy enough]
3. Watched a 6 year old run threw the sprinkler at 830 PM...60 degrees out. The sun wasn't even out to warm him up!! burrrrrrrr!!
4. Mat went with to Aldi!! He did OK. We again walked away with great deals!!
5. Aidan is STILL super moody. Thinking it is the 5th disease. He got it again this week and the rash is back =[

Back to the Dr for Kenadee. It has been 1 week and she is back to no sleep...and just plain miserable =[ New meds...she also got new ear drops with antibiotic :o(

What a weekend. Aidan is NEVER having a sleep over again!! Well, or at least until I forget about our day on Saturday. I decided it would be fun to have a family day for Aidan for his birthday. Next weekend is his party at Maple Grove Community Center for family and friends. But things will be so crazy that I thought just the four of us need to celebrate! What was I thinking??

First off Mat and Aidan spent the night at some friends house. Randall (to play with Mat) and Mackenzie and Brandon (to play with Aidan) and Mallory to babysit them all!! lol. They come home the next morning and Aidan is in rare form. Every decision is life changing!! He can't decide what to have for breakfast...what to wear...what to bring with in the car!! Ohh my. So I mention my plan of going to Mall of America with just us 4 to celebrate his birthday. I told him he gets to pick lunch. He gets to pick out a small toy [25-30 dollar range]. He gets excited but then starts worrying about what toy, what place to eat....I am thinking (and should have acted on this) this is going to be a long day, maybe we shouldn't go. But I am really excited about the idea of us all being together that I ignore the warning signs. We pack up and head out. I forgot that 94 was closed. We sat in some MAJOR traffic. Which was OK cause then Aidan fell asleep. I thought this was GREAT! His mood will be better...he wont be tired..great!! HAAAAA!!!!!!! If anything it made it worse!! He seriously was hyperventilating trying to make a decision on a toy! I made the decision to quit looking for a toy and eat. Well....then it was a MAJOR ordeal on what we were going to eat. He couldn't decide!! I actually felt bad for him. He was so upset. He ended up with Burger King. He ate some fries...that was about it. He did make an animal at the Build a Bear at the Rain Forest Cafe...(no line) Verses...an hour line at the actual store!! We were home by 5 PM...and worn out!! Aidan needs to stick to a schedule!! Bed by 830!! It is going to be a LONG time before he stays at Randalls house again. Which is too bad...Mat and Aidan LOVE it there!!
Yesterday we went to Tommy and Annas house to celebrate Tommys 1st Communion!! Yahoo Tommy. Kenadee was a bit tired but other than that it was another great time with family. Today...well...not sure what is in store. Hoping that after school Kenadee, Aidan and I can get outside for some fresh air. I think that it will do us all good.

Aidan is doing well not eating any dairy. He is afraid to eat tho. Anything. He is also afraid to go to the bathroom.
Kenadee is finally feeling a bit better. She still has a temp. But is sleeping a little bit more. Her double ear infection was "horrible and bulging" according to Shirley. Rough week.
Aidan woke up this morning with slapped cheek. Yep, I am thinking 5th disease again!!! I am going to put my kids in a bubble!!!!

As I expected, no poop backed up in his intestines. I told the [new] Dr yesterday that he poops everyday. She told me her daughter does too and she had severe cramping from it one time....had an X-ray...needed meds....well....not Aidan. But they did find LOTS of gas in his upper intestines and colon. Reason? We're not sure. So, we start with all lactose products. Aidan gets really bad gas (no pain. just gas) from milk. So now we are taking ALL dairy from him. :o( Wait two weeks and see what happens.

Yesterday morning started out like any-other morning. Kenadee playing on the floor. I am drinking coffee....trying to wake up. Aidan begging me to play something with him. When all of a sudden Aidan said he really needed to poop. He ran into the bathroom. Before I knew it he was crying super-hard. Yelling for me. When I got in there he told me that he was in a lot of pain. In his stomach. Then he stood up and thought he was going to throw-up. He did dry-heave a bit then sat back down thinking it was poop time again. This went on for about 5 mins. Then he stood up and fell to the floor in pain. At this point I have talked to Mat 2 or 3 times. I called him back and told him that I was calling 911. EMTs were great. All of the responders were great. Aidan was much better by the time that the ambulance showed up. They said that it seemed like constipation. I explained that Aidan poops everyday. In-fact, he had just pooped that morning. But they were convinced. So, I waited for Mat to show up to take Aidan to the ER. If he was still screaming I would have had the ambulance take him, but he was much better...crying still...but better. Mat brought Aidan in. By the time the Dr got to Aidan, Aidan was doing great. They didn't check a thing. They sent him home telling Mat it must be gas. If I would have been there I would have made them do an X-ray. I was not there. So he came home. He was perfectly fine all night. This morning, same as yesterday. Crying, pain...doubled over...screaming.....Called Mat at work. Told him I don't care if he gets better again...he is going in TODAY!! Right now, he is doing great. Appointment is in 1 hour. We are still going in. I have IBS, Mat has a lactose intolerance. We need to find out what is causing this. What a horrible feeling not being able to help your little one who is in pain!!! Hopefully we get some answers today!! I will be talking to the Dr!! We WILL get answers!!!

Easter weekend didn't go as planned. Sick kiddos. Everyone was well enough to head to Chris and Liesa's house on Saturday night. Fun times. Bonfire. kids. wine. Scott brought the kids while Jenny stayed home and got ready for Easter Sunday!! Kenadee loved sitting by the fire. Mesmerized by the flames! We definitely need to plan those nights more often!!
Sunday afternoon we all headed over to Scott and Jenny's house. FABULOUS dinner...and great company. Jenny's family was there also. Always great to see everyone. Now we have 2 headed beauties. Mary and Kenadee!! :o) I am still waiting to hear when dinner is next weekend ;o) YUM!! My favorite was the potatoes. I know, shocker, right? But they had SO MUCH flavor! mmmmm....wish I had some right now.
Tuesday night Aidan had his Kindergarten round up. He was SO excited. He even got to take a little bus ride. Mat took pictures on his phone. If I can get him to send them to me I will post them. I am so glad I kept him out of school until he was 6!! I really think that he is ready now!! woooooo-hooooo!!
Next big thing: Aidans 6th birthday!! He is ready to be six NOW!! lol.
April 6th 2012 We went from 3 Easter celebrations to [hopefully] one. Last night Aidan for the 1st time since he was 2 1/2 threw up. Poor kiddo. He is missing the daycare party today. He was OK with missing it last night cause he was ill....today he is feeling great and doesn't understand why he cant go :o( Tomorrows Easter party at Tammys house was cancelled cause poor Breanna is ill. Very ill. Hopefully we all can get together soon. I was SO excited to see everyone. Now we are down to one Easter party. On Sunday at Scott and Jennys. Lets hope everyone stays well. I think we will just lay-low these next couple of days. Booooo.... April 5 2012
Wilton candy welt suckers made for tomorrows daycare visit. Now I am making chocolate/peanut butter chip (melted) suckers. I am going to sugar all the kiddos up right before I head home!! haaaaaaa. Busy Easter weekend ahead. Tomorrow me and the kids are heading to my Moms for the day. Saturday we are packing up and heading to Tammy and Jeffs house (if their kids are not sick) and Sunday is dinner and egg hunt at Auntie Jenny and Scotts house. busy. busy. busy. Lets hope I get to take lots of fun photos.
Last night was a first in a long time that Aidan, Kenadee and myself actually got sleep. Kenadee still woke up every 3.5 hours to eat but then went right back down. She is feeling much better. Although she still have diarrhea. Hoping tonight goes as smooth. Amazing how much better our days go when everyone is well rested!!! She is back in bed for nap number 2. For a couple days now she has been napping in her crib. Lays right down. Now to work on bedtime! Even though I LOVE snuggling with her.....such a snuggle bug she is.
I asked Aidan what treat he wanted to bring to school for his birthday. After changing his mind ten times he says in the most serious voice: "Mom, I just cant discuss this right now. Later would be a better time" Too many choices I guess. lol Another sweet note from the mouth of Aidan was the other night when him and I went for a walk he noticed my shoes had holes in them. He says to me "Mom, when I have $100.00 I want to buy a toy but I won't cause I need to buy you new shoes. Shoes are WAY more important than toys". He does love me!! lol.
