03/26/2012 Dylan & Dawson went to the doctor today!! They got 3 shots, poor babies! Here are the exciting statistics!! Dawson and Dylan both weigh exactly 24.6 pounds! They are in the 60%. Dawson is 31 inches long (90%) and Dylan is 31.4 inches long (90%). They are doing amazing! Dylan is a walking machine and into everything!!! Dawson is starting to take a few steps and loves to cling to Momma! :)) Preston just had his tonsils & adenoids out. He's doing great and is playing Lacrosse and training for his black belt in karate. Cohen is beginning swimming lessons this month and is looking forward to being in kinder very soon!!!! We love you Lewin boys!!!
03/08/2012 Preston is going to have his tonsils and adenoids taken out tomorrow at Centennial Hospital! We are so excited for him to begin feeling better soon and have no more headaches!!! Both sweet Double D's have bronchitis and Prest is getting over an Upper Respiratory Infection. We're ready to have a healthy house again. Cohen is excited to have Bumps and Gags over to spin the night while we are at the hospital. Hopefully CoCo won't get sick, but he already is coughing. :( Maybe that sweet little body will kick it!
02/14/2012 Dylan & Dawson had an amazing first birthday party!!! They played with their twin friends, Chloe and Johan and were passed around to all those that loved them. When given their sweet smash cakes, Dylan dove in and Dawson wanted nothing to do with it! Ha! They received lots of precious clothes and toys from everyone that loves them. They're not walking yet, but can pull up and are beginning to cruise! We love you boys!!!!
11/27/2011 What a fabulous Thanksgiving! We traveled down to East Texas and stayed in Uncle Leon's chalet. We drove four wheelers, the golf cart, went fishing, jumped on the trampoline, and fed the horses, cows, and donkeys nuggets! So fun!!!! Mommy prepared a fabulous Turkey Lunch and we enjoyed it together as a family. The boys were so excited to have all the famous foods & trimmings that make Thanksgiving so special. Preston is loving scooting with our neighborhood kiddos and CoCo got his first scooter, so he's trying so hard to keep up with the big boys! Cohen is loving school and can't wait to go back tomorrow to see all of his friends! Cohen still loves Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry. Preston loves to play Zelda with Dad! They are having a blast. Dylan & Dawson are amazing! They are eating oatmeal for breaky and love bananas, and eat all the yummy foods (except green beans). We're working on real foods. So far they can handle puffs, mashed banana, and sometimes crackers. They are crawling and pulling up on furniture. . and love Bear's dog bowls! They can say DaDa, BaBa, and MaMa when they get really upset. Dawson chatters his lips (like he's cold) when he's super mad and Dylan flaps his arms when he gets upset. They are amazing babies and are so dear. Dawson is our Curious George and Dylan is still our love bug.
11/15/2011 Dawson & Dylan went to Dr. Kaplan for their nine month visit! Both boys were absolutely perfect! They are both cutting three teeth on top, so hugs are definitely in order! Dawson weighed in at 20.12 lbs (55%) and was 29 1/4 inches long (80%). Dylan weighed in at 21.6 lbs (70%) and was 29 1/4 inches long (80%). Yes, they are exactly the same height! The gap in weight is starting to decrease! They are doing fantastic and I am so very proud of my twinkie bears!! Love you boys!
10/23/11 This Halloween is an exciting one for sure! The Double D's are 8 months old and are on the move! Dawson is crawling and sitting. Dylan is sitting and rocking. . he'll be crawling soon. Both still have gorgeous baby blue eyes and both have two precious little teeth on the bottom. Bless their hearts, because they both broke through at the same time!! We lowered the cribs this weekend to keep them safe. They love toys with flashing lights and music! They both have walkers now downstairs and look hysterical cruising on the tile. They are going through the "Hold me 24/7" stage, so it's definitely challenging. . . but worth every minute. They love bananas and applesauce. We're not ready to eat crackers yet. . .but we'll get there soon enough. Preston is loving football and karate. CoCo is hanging in there with soccer. He's improved so much, but truly just wants to play with Preston at the park vs. playing in the game. He adores his big bro and and we are so proud of them!! Preston is going to be Rey Mysterio (a WWE wrestler) and CoCo is going to be the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man for Halloween! We will still be having our annual Halloween party this year! It's going to be a crazy one with all these little ones. . . but so much fun!
08/26/2011 Here are the Twins Stats at their 6 month doctor visit! Dawson measured in at 18.12 pounds (75%) and was 27 3/4 inches tall (90%). Dylan weighed in at 19.3 pounds (80%) and was 27 3/4 inches tall (90%) as well! They are beginning to really even out. They are the exact same heights and have the exact same head circumference. The weight is the only thing different and that is getting closer. They still have bright baby blue eyes. . . so we'll see!
08/21/2011 Tomorrow is the big day! Back to school for both my big boys! Cohen is super excited to be going to PreK at Castle Montessori with his very first teacher, Mrs. Cynthia. Preston had a great time meeting Mrs. Smith at Pink Elementary for second grade! He's a GT baby now, so this year is going to be very exciting. He was so happy to see five familiar faces from last year in his class. The Double D's are looking forward to having Mommy all to themselves! They are eating applesauce, bananas, carrots, peas, cereal, and of course formula. Even though they are identical we can tell them apart. Their eyes are still blue, so we'll see if I have blue-eyed twins like Daddy. At six months old, they can both roll now and hold onto a toy and even reach for one. They haven't said Momma or Dada yet, but we're working on it. Can't believe this summer is already over! Back to school, here we come!
05/20/11 We've got gigglers in our house! Dylan and Dawson are beginning to chuckle! They light up our lives every time they smile! They love to lie on their backs and kick, kick, kick. They are taking 6 ounces and on their way to 15 pounds! They are growing soooo fast! Preston is wrapping up a great first grade year and is in the final stages of GT testing. We are so proud of him! He's rockin' out at School of Rock each week and is looking forward to joining a band in June!! Cohen's soccer team will be playing the Summer Season indoors at the Field House! Yay! No hot and sweaty days! The pool is open and the boys are loving swimming. CoCo and Prest dive in and have a blast, while Mommy, Dawson & Dylan cheer them on from the shade! Come on lazy days of Summer. . . we're ready for ya!! Daddy is working hard and is totally adored when he comes home. Mommy is loving all these sweet boys, finishing up the year as Room Mom and having a great time at all the Twin Mommy playdates!
04/26/11 The twins are rolling now! Both Dawson and Dylan can roll from their tummy to their back. They can smile at us and coo. . . so exciting! We went to the doctor for our two month visit and here are the stats: Dawson was 13.9 pounds (90%) and 23.5 inches (75%). Dylan was 14.6 pounds (95%) and 24.5 inches (95%). These are some big boys I tell you! So sweet! They are both going down at 10:00 and sleeping until 5:30 or 6:00. Yay! We are doing great!!
03/12/11 We have some amazing news to share! Preston has his very first wiggly tooth!!! He is so excited and can't wait for it to fall out! Preston also scored off the charts on his CogAt test!! He's moving on to round two of GT testing! Way to go big boy! We are so very proud of you Preston!!!!
03/08/11 We went to our second doctor's visit today! Here are the latest stats: Dawson weighed in at 8.8 lbs in the 25% and was 21 inches long in the 50%. Dylan weighed in at 9.1 lbs in the 50% and was 21.5 inches long in the 60%. The twins are getting so big! Dr. Kaplan was definitely impressed. They are gaining weight and doing great! Way to go Double D's! Love you sweet little ones!
03/01/11 Happy Birthday to Mommy! It has been a great day! All of my boys serenaded me with our new family anthem. . . "Beautiful Boy". It was a precious memory I will never forget! Cohen is doing an amazing job at soccer. He is laughing and smiling during his games and practices, which is all we could ever hope for. He is having fun! Preston is totally into wars now and the heavy artillary that comes with them. He's preparing for his big 7th birthday and cannot wait to do it "World War II Style". Love you Lewin Boys!
02/28/11 We went to our first doctor's appointment! Both babies are back to their birth weights and are doing fantastic! They have both grown exactly one inch and still remain the same length as each other! Dr. Kaplan says they look amazing and is very proud of their accomplishments so far. So are Mommy and Daddy! We're doing it!!! Yay! We love you sweet boys!!!
02/20/11 Dylan is coming home today!!!! We are so grateful to our sweet NICU nurse, Hope, for fighting for his release. Craig and I cannot wait to have the whole family reunited again! We love you Dylan! Mommy is coming to get you!
02/18/11 Today we are going home with our sweet Baby Dawson. Our precious Dylan must remain in the NICU. Due to being the second sweet baby to come out, he did not have the pressure to push all of the fluid out of his lungs. He was treated in the NICU for RDS (Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and developed a Neumothorax where his lungs were releasing the oxygen, rather than absorbing it. Even though the neumothorax has been fixed, he is still not quite ready to be released until he can take all of his feedings via bottle. Our sweet Dylan will hopefully join us very soon!
02/14/11 My precious Dawson and Dylan were born today! Dawson was born at 7:53 a.m. and was 6 lbs 2 oz and 18.5 inches long! Dylan was born at 7:54 a.m. and was 6 lbs 12 oz and 18.5 inches long. Thank you G-d for these two beautiful souls we have brought into this world!
01/26/11 Mommy is now 33 weeks preggy with Dylan and Dawson! Our last sonogram measured the boys at the 66% and the 88% with both babies over 4 pounds! The twins will come into this world on Valentine's Day! We are going to have little Lewin Love Bugs! Preston and Cohen are preparing to be big brothers and are going to be amazing! Mommy and Daddy are "nesting" and are having a blast redecorating the house and getting ready to begin a new chapter in our lives!
12/27/10 The twins are doing amazing! They are so big! At 28 weeks, one twin is at 3 lbs 4 oz in the 98% and the other is 2 lbs 14 oz in the 86%. Mommy did not develop gestational diabetes after all! Yay! Just have to watch what I eat so that the babies do not get too big! As of today, the babies will be arriving in this world on February 24th. Preston is loving being off for vacation! CoCo is in heaven getting to play with him every day. Craig and I are both "nesting" and are getting ready for the ride of our lives!
11/22/10 We went for our 6 month visit today! The sonogram went fantastic! Both Dylan and Dawson are measuring at 1.5 pounds and in the 50th percentile! This means they are both getting the same amount of great nutrition and are developing the exact same as a normal pregnancy! Way to go Little Lewins! Both babies were head down and were punching and kicking each other through the membrane! So sweet!!! Preston and Cohen loved seeing their sweet brothers on the T.V! Our next appointment is one month from now. Mommy had an amazing "Double Trouble" baby shower and got so many wonderful things for the nursery! It is getting so exciting!!
